Hearing Kayla's question, with a smile on his face, Mike said, "I have been watching you both from over there," pointing to the corner where he was seated. "And I must say, you both are really interesting. Can we be friends?" he asked.
Not getting any reply from them, he cleared his throat. "Well, I guess we can't possibly be friends without an introduction, so bad of me not to introduce myself. Anyways, I'm Michael, but my friends call me Mike," he said and extended his hand to Kayla.
"I'm Kayla," Kayla said, accepting his handshake. Mike then turned to Selena, who had remained silent, and with a cheerful smile, he asked, "And what is your name, beautiful damsel?"
"Selena," was the only reply she gave.
