"Arrrgh!" Selena exclaimed, her hand clutching her throbbing head as she slowly woke up. The unfamiliar surroundings sent a jolt of panic through her. "Mum…," she muttered, blinking her eyes open and realizing she wasn't in her parents' house, nor was this her room.
"Oh God," she sighed and covered her face with her palm, trying to make sense of the situation. Just as she was about to get out of bed, the door creaked open, and she turned to see a man standing there.
"Miss Riley, thank goodness you're awake. It's time for dinner, and the boss is waiting for you downstairs." Robert said as he stood at the entrance of her room.
"Dinner?" Her eyes widened in surprise, "How long have I been asleep?"
"All through the day." Robert replied politely.
"What!" She exclaimed and she heard his voice again.
"I was instructed not to wake you up and let you rest."
"Then, how did you know I was awake?" She asked confused
