"Are you sure you can tell him?" Priscilla turned her gaze to Ryan as she heard his question.
She sat at the edge of the living room couch, her fingers nervously tapping on her knees. The weight of the conversation hung in the air, and Ryan's question echoed in her mind.
Priscilla hesitated for a moment, the gravity of the revelation settling in. "I will have to," she finally said, determination in her voice.
"It's going to be hard. You know Gabriel is a simple man; I doubt if he'll be able to accept it," Ryan remarked in a calm voice, his concern palpable.
A wry smile formed on Priscilla's lips. "I know, but aren't you worried he's going to change towards you or, worst, even quit working for the company?" She voiced the fears that lurked beneath the surface.
Measuring Priscilla's every word, Ryan knew she was saying the truth but what could he possibly do? Nothing, he couldn't do anything to change it.
