"Good morning brother," Lana said as she arrived at the dining table. She had woken up late as she was still in her night wear and sat down opposite her brother.
Raising his head up, Peter looked at his sister before turning his attention back to his plate without saying a word.
'What's going on with him?' She complained inwardly before taking a slice of bread. "Brother..," She paused and looked at his expression before speaking again. "What would happen if the Zahit Pack decides to unite with the Rykebreach Pack?"
"It won't ever happen so there's no need to think about it." Peter said plainly.
"But.., don't you think it would be better for our circle and Kelvin's circle to unite? I mean the two circles are the strongest so probably they would be no other circles to dare us and we can live in peace." Peter heard his sister say and he dropped the mug he was holding.
Raising his head, he shot her a stern glare and she gulped. Even though Peter was her brother, she knew how tough, cold and scary he could be if he gets angry. She quickly took her cup and drank her coffee inorder to avoid his gaze.
"Did you see Kelvin?" He asked in a resounding voice and she felt her body trembling.
"Yes, but I swear I didn't approach him." She quickly said in fear.
"I know. If you had approached him, your head won't still be on your neck." Standing up from his seat. "The Zahit Pack and the Rykebreach Pack can never unite. One must fall for the other to stand."
Taking a deep breath, "Don't you ever dare think I don't know about your feelings for Kelvin. I only kept silent because you never crossed the line, but now, if you wish to disobey me then I would treat you like how I treat people who betray me." Peter said harshly with no atom of care in his voice.
"Brother..," Lana tried speaking but he cut her off.
"I'll give you just three months till your next birthday to decide. If you don't want to marry Ethan then you'll marry Mr Luis son, Ryan. I need strong and powerful allies if I'm going to drop the Zahit Pack on their kneels, so don't you dare ruin my plans." He said and left the dining room.
Lana stayed with her eyes and mouth wide open in disbelief and confusion. 'Is he serious? He wants me to marry who I don't have feelings for just because he plans to beat Kelvin?. Oh no, this can't happen.' She sulked.
Meanwhile in The Riley's house, Selena's morning routine, filled with purpose, unfolded seamlessly. With her alarm's gentle chime at 5:30 a.m., she greeted the day with a burst of energy. Her daily exercise regimen invigorated her, setting a positive tone for the hours ahead.
Even though she had a nauseous feeling about how the day would go, she still decided to stay positive. Today she would move from her parents house, a place she has stayed all her life to a place she has never seen before and to sum it up, living with a man she knows nothing about.
Hiding the uneasy feeling beneath her determination, she arranged her baggage before going to the kitchen. The scent of a delicious breakfast soon wafted from the kitchen as she prepared a nourishing meal.
Her culinary skills were a testament to her versatility, and she felt contented with herself. After serving and arranging the meal on the dining table, she left to her room and a brisk shower followed, accompanied by the anticipation of what the day holds.
Selena's choice of attire reflected her character—elegant, yet understanding. She selected a unique yet simple professional outfit, which exuded both confidence and sophistication. Her hair, meticulously styled, flowed gracefully down her back.
Returning to the living room with her luggage, she met her parents already seating round the dining table and she joined them.
With a smile as warm as the morning sun, Selena greeted her parents, "Mum, dad, good morning."
"How are you my little angel?" Mr Riley said and Selena blushed a bit.
"I'm all good. How was your night? I guess mum made you sleep like a baby." Selena teased.
"Hey! You spoilt brat don't drag me into you and your father's scheme." Mrs Riley said and they all laughed.
Selena felt relieved as a sense of happiness washed over her, her parents smile means a lot to her. She didn't want to talk about her moving out and since her parents didn't say anything about it she knew it would be better to just let it be.
During the breakfast, they talked about different things all circulating around happiness and comfort and Selena did not seize to support her father in teasing her mum.
After their heartfelt morning connection, Selena bid her parents farewell and stepped out of the house with her luggage, heading toward her unforseen day. Little did she know that a surprise awaited her just beyond her doorstep.
Standing there, like a vision in classic gray, was Jorge. His presence exuded an aura of sophistication and charm. The perfectly tailored suit he wore accentuated his tall, lean frame, and his impeccable grooming only added to his allure. The subtle fragrance of his cologne lingered in the air, a silent invitation to those fortunate enough to be near him.
As Selena emerged from her house, her eyes met his, and she was momentarily taken aback. "Good morning, Selena," he greeted her with a warm smile.
Her voice quivered with surprise as she replied, "Good morning, Mr Graham. What are you doing here?" She had not expected to see Jorge, all her thoughts were " It's going to be Kelvin's driver" just as he had told her last night that he would send his driver to pick her.
"Are you surprised?" His face curved in a gentle smile. "Andrew is with Kelvin so he sent me instead." Jorge explained briefly. "Anyways, how was your night?"
Despite her bewilderment, she answered, "It was fine, but shouldn't you be at the office?." Her curiosity was piqued, and she awaited an explanation.
"I'll go to the office after dropping you." Looking at her expression, he answered before she would ask the next question. "You won't be going to work today. Kelvin will meet you when he gets back from the office." He said and opened his back door. Taking her luggage, he put it inside his car before going to open the passenger door.
"We should get going," He said, extending an invitation for her to enter.
