Aurora was slipping off and Camila could no longer hold on to her.
"Give me your other hand", a deep male voice said, reaching out to grab Aurora. With Camilla, he pulled Aurora up.
"Thank you", Aurora said, looking at the man who had rescued her. She fainted shortly after.
"Who are you?", Camila queried.
"Call me Luis, my brother will take it up from here", Luis said, leaving them with another young man who seemed older than he was.
"I am Lucas"
"Camila", Camila responded, taking his handshake.
"She does not look so well", Lucas said, placing his palms on her forehead.
"Yes, she was bitten" Camila replied.
"The purple vampire scorpion, I can't miss it," Lucas said, looking at her legs.
'Is there anything you can do for her?" Camila asked, her eyes widened with fear.
"How long does she have left?", Lucas asked, examining the sting.
"About five hours or so", Camila replied.
"That is good, her internal organs are safe, we should only worry about her limbs", Lucas declared.
Camila heaved a sigh of relief.
"From what I can sniff out, you are a werewolf, she must be one too", Lucas said with a broad smile.
"She is, but she is different", Camila replied.
"We need to get to the Healer quick, especially if she has no healing abilities on her own", Lucas said, looking over Aurora.
"Which way to the City?", Camila said, staring at the space that surrounded them.
"We are here already", Lucas said.
"But I don't see anything " Camila replied.
" As werewolves, we should care about our immediate environment, that is what makes us special but also keeps us hidden," Lucas said.
"What do you mean?"
"If you want to see the city, look into the water and think of what you want it to reflect and it will"
Camila stared at the water, allowing her imagination to bring the City to life. Lucas carried Aurora on his back and took her to a healer.
" Purple Vampire Scorpions are rare breeds, she must have been so unlucky to meet one," the Healer said.
"Will she be fine? Camila queried.
"Of course ", the healer replied.
"Okay, Uhm Lucas, I have to take my leave now, I hope she is in good hands?"Camila asked.
"I will take care of her like I take care of my city "
"Goodbye ", Camila greeted them as she turned and left the city. She journeyed through the forest and back to her city. Her attention was called to the fort.

"So you deliberately defied my order", Alan said.
"I did what I had to ", Camila responded.
"You are so reckless, you just love to disobey me."
"Am I reckless?"
"Yes, I am tired of babying you all the time."
"You banished your wife to God knows where, but I am the reckless one."
"I also did what I had to do"
"Five years, you have been married for five years, and yet you abandon her when she needed you the most, just like you did to me when our parents died."
"I did not abandon you, you made yourself an outcast. I invited you to stay countless times but you refused"
"Did you ever once check to see how I was doing? You never visited!"
"That is true, but it doesn't mean I do not care about you."
" No, that is exactly what it means ", Camila said, now sobbing.
" I have a great responsibility. I have people to guide. I cannot spend time running after you."
"Of course, you care about them more, everything is about your reputation and your subjects."
"You have to understand, I am doing my best," Alan said in a firm tone.
"Do you know what the struggle was like?", Camila asked as tears welled up in her eyes.
"What are you talking about? I gave you everything you ever asked for", Alan replied, counting his fingers.
"I learned to be a werewolf by myself" Camila responded.
"Were you not trained ?", Alan asked, looking her in the eye.
"Shane trained me", Camila responded slowly.
"That was because I told him to, I do not quite understand this tantrum you are throwing", Alan said, taking a walk back to his seat.
"Tantrums? You should have trained me. You are the strongest werewolf in this pack. I needed you", Camila yelled.
"You turned out fine", Alan yelled back.
"That is because I am a fighter."
"Well, good for you, I don't see what the problem is now."
"The problem is that you're selfish, even your wife does not stand a chance. You should ask how she is doing."
" This meeting is over, you have been dismissed."
"Coward "
"Watch your tongue princess, the King spares no one", Shane said, gesturing with a bow as he stepped into the room.
"I can't stand you two", Camila replied, leaving the room.
"Your majesty, we have pressing needs to discuss, " Shane said, stroking his beard.
"Shane, can't it wait?" Alan said, pacing back and forth the room
"The people are shaken, we need something to reassure stability.
"Like what"
"Like a replacement"
"What type of replacement"
"A new Luna"
" I beg your pardon?"
"Yes"
" I do not need a new Luna"
"I know you miss her but this is a must. The people need a Luna, the kingdom needs an heir."
"Are you sure about this?"
"Positive"
"Okay, I will consider it."
"You need someone strong and powerful, someone that can stand side by side with you, not a weakling. "
"I agree"
" My Majesty, today is your lucky day"
"What do you mean?"
"I know just the right person for you. You two are already close. It will not be hard for a bond to be formed, it will be stronger than any other bond."
"Shane, I trust your decision. Whatever you pick, I will go with that.
"She is here, let me call her in", Shane said, exiting the King's courtroom.
