Here the tower was somewhat different; this one had a big building built into it. Seemed to have giant chi stone tanks upon the roof connecting the tower with great power. Above was a floating chi stone that was green in color. It hovered over the tip of the tower. 'Seems this is a power plant feeding to all the other towers. I would assume the North is the same?' He leaned against a tree watching the tower to study the routine of the inhabitants. The soldiers of big cats clad in armor patrolled outside the tower. Barracks were all around the building. A large wall and gate was positioned a couple of yards from the barracks; the ramparts of the wall had guards patrolling upon them.
The center of the wall was a big gate. 'Yeah this is more protected than the last tower. Yeah none of this is gonna be easy?' He thought. He perched high in a tree as he waited and watched. The marching outside was in cycles. Patrols on the wall were in cycles. Every four hours guards were relieved. Red Demon sketched in his pad the layout of the plant and area. He studied the chi stone while sketching it. 'This is the biggest chi stone I've ever seen. I'd love to sink my teeth into it! This land must be rich with chi. I'll have to take some with me when we get this done. Maybe the people aren't just food? With that size it had to be mined somehow?' He sighed.
'I could transport myself in the shadows but the explosion needed to destroy this plant would be devastating on the population. That amount of chi could change the landscape' he stood on the branch stretching. 'One thing I have in my arsenal that could be of use?' He then manifested the Ice Helm with a hammer and chisel. 'Let's try this a different way. Perhaps spreading the cold and keeping it central I can deactivate the plant' he then dropped to the ground and held the chisel tight in his hand. He poured chi into it, igniting the tip of the chisel creating blue chi and frost. The flat head of the hammer ignited also. He then drove the chisel into the ground with the hammer spreading frost and dropping the temperature.
The ice spread across the plane rather quickly heading to the wall. The very sky started to turn gray and white as snow fell from the sky. Big Cat soldiers rushed about as the cold started to drop. As the snowflakes fell they began to morph into tiny sprites. They came to life and began to swarm around the plant, freezing things. The cat man was not spared a sprite hit them; they froze on the spot. I've spread like a cancer freezing everyone and everything they fly into. They aimed for the chi tanks.

Inside the plant a commander Big Cat stood clad in black armor and had the appearance of a lynx. He had gray and white fur and looked very strong. Spikes protruded from his shoulders. He had a broadsword strapped to his hip. His tail whipped about studying the giant tank in front of him. Bird folk in white robes with a toucan appearance were moving about as they looked at computer screens. Holding tablets with glowing green screens. "Sir the core is unstable, it seems our other towers have fallen offline and the power is diminishing" the commander nodded and kept a straight face. "We haven't been able to reach other towers. Something is happening?" he looked deep in thought as the alarm went off in the plant. "What is happening now!" he yelled. The toucan scientist ran to the console a display screen made from a hologram. "Seems the temperature has dropped outside dramatically? The temperature is.....zero degrees? How is that possible?" he pressed a button bringing up a video screen showing the outside. The commander saw a field of ice consuming the land between the tower and wall. Men were freezing into solid static statues. "What do we do sir?" a toucan scientist asked scared. "Bring up the chi shields now!" he ordered. The scientist tapped on keyboards frantically and the outside of the tower became coated with an ethereal energy shield. The ice then stopped abruptly when it reached the gate. The outside then became consumed in a blanket of snow that started to swirl into a blizzard.
This then made the inside blind to outside. The alarms went off as the tanks of chi were frozen in ice causing power to lower inside the tower. The commander scowled at the situation as he thought of a way out of it. 'Going outside seems like a death sentence at this point. We could use artifacts with cold resistance, but we've never needed them therefore that option is nonexistent. None of my men can use ice chi. None! That blasted snow leopard if only he was here? This situation is so frantic I'm thinking stupid things! I'm in the here and now. There is no way to reach for reinforcements. The clan couldn't reach us in time. The snow will continue outside and someone needs to assess this weather?" He turned to look at the Bird Folk workers. "Sebastian, do you have any equipment to test out the weather?" he asked. Toucan shook his head. "No sir. We live in tropical climates. So we've had no need for such equipment prior to this sir?" Sebastian explained. Commander wanted to be angry, but he knew what he said was true. Most who don't go to the mountains have ever seen snow. This realm is gifted with perfect weather thanks to the Emerald King. He sighed, "What of rain detection? Could that be modified to monster the storm were enclosed in?" he asked, still remaining calm.
"We could try, yes sir" he said as the team got to work. A few guards walked in and approached their commander bowing, "Sir the situation outside has weakened our numbers" one reported. "What was happening outside anyone able to report that?" He asked with a stern voice. "We do not know sir. But I did receive some reports before the communication ended saying sprite-like beings were freezing people coming from the sky?" He seemed unsure if he spoke. The very information sounded insane. He stared at the ground as the Commander looked confused. 'This has to be a spell of some kind? If we can find where the source of chi is coming from, perhaps there's a chance?' He thought. "Bring up outside feeds from all sides of the base now!" He commanded. Multiple screens appeared covering the air with holographic projections. He scanned the screens while enhancing his vision with chi. His chi senses heightened. When he landed not far from the gate was a blue aura. "There by the gate! This is a spell! We're under attack! Focus on that area" they zoomed in. He could see a blue aura but he couldn't see anyone. 'Where are you, caster?' He then felt chi coming at a high speed hitting the top of the tower. The tower rumbled from the impact. "Seems projectiles have been thrown at the tower shaking the shield. They then saw ice beasts forming from the icy plane. All with four arms and ape like. They numbered in the hundreds as they then took on life running at the tower. "Get chi guns ready!" Another two explosions hit the tower. "Seems they aren't operational sir! The explosions are aimed at the guns? Shield is at fifty percent as well!" Commander stared at the screens as more explosions erupted all around the tower.
