Chapter 4 - Odd

Later that day, while Kaio was in one of his classes doing his test, he noticed the sudden changes in the weather, suddenly switching from cold to warm, constantly and that was not the first time and that was bothering him.

Since in his eyes as well as a few others, a lot had been changing within the atmosphere, some which were not normal.

His eyes narrowed as he looked out the window and at the sky, which seemed as though it was about to rain and he sighed then wondered whether he was just imagining it and it was all just normal.

As his class finished, he left and went to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat, since it was lunch and just as he left, he saw that the ones whom he had bumped into by the stairs in the morning, were coming his way.

'I wonder why he can't use his bloody father's money and move to another college, having him around is sort of getting on my nerves, but I can't pick a fight with them,' He thought then turned in the next direction but one of the guys from the group saw him.

"Well, where are you going?" He asked as Kaio kept on waking and him doing things like that only agitated them.

"Hey, I am talking to you, earlier you were very rude to me, how do you plan on apologizing?" He asked as he grabbed onto Kaio's shoulder.

"Hey, for the sake of circumstances, I suggest that you don't touch me, seriously I am trying my best here to not get into in trouble with you guys, I suggest you back off," He said and another guy among them.

Grabbed the one who was holding onto his shoulder by his hand and pulled him away from Kaio, before leaning in towards him.

"Oh? Heading your mother's warning now, are we?" The guy asked and Kaio's brows furrowed.

The guy before him name was Zyox, he was tall, slim with narrowed blue eyes, fair and had short black hair.

"If only she hadn't, you should thank her, now I am going to get my lunch," He responded and Zyox's brows twitched in irritation.

Zyox and Kaio didn't have a good relationship at all, since he was the type of super popular rich boy with a dirty personality on the inside and a pretty face on the outside.

But the main reason for them being like that was the fact that Kaio's mother worked for his father and they lived in the back house in Zyox's yard, beside his big mansion and due to many reasons, Zyox and some of his family members looked down on them.

Kaio couldn't tolerate their family but due to their own situation and his mother, he had to put up with them because he didn't want to make things more difficult for his mother, which is one of the reasons.

Kaoi tried his best in school, so that he could create a good life for them and move away from the family that treated his mother like she was nothing more than a servant.

"You better learn to respect me more," Zyox said and Kaio smiled at him.

"What's there for me to respect?" He asked and Zyox gritted his teeth then Kaio left the area, with the guy fuming in anger, wanting to cut Kaio's wings, for he considered him arrogant and didn't like his gut.

After going to the cafeteria and buying a few things, the young man returned to his class to eat and at the same time, he began feeling a tightening in his chest and began having a hard time breathing.

Some of the other students noticed and approached him, despite some of them being different from him.

'What the hell is this?' He asked when a flash of an image appeared in his head with blood splattering all over and his eyes trembled.

"Hey, are you okay? Do you need something?" A young man asked.

"Guys, take him to the nurse," A girl said as he began seeing double, wondering what was happening to him, since his body was acting strange, almost as though it was trying to warn him about something.

"Uh... I am fine, I am just not feeling well, thank you," He said with a gentle smile on his face.

The students exchanged glances and the young man that was holding onto his arm nodded, then placed him to sit down and Kaio sighed.

"You are Kaio, right?" The young man asked.

"Yeah, I am," He responded then opened the bottle of juice he bought and began drinking it.

"Is it just me or is the weird getting worse these days?" The young man asked and Kaio glanced at him then his eyes narrowed.

"Maybe it's the apocalypse, beware," One of the guys among some of the troublemakers said and the young man scoffed.

'The apocalypse? What are the odds of something like that happening in this sickening society these days?' Kaio thought when suddenly he heard the young man calling out to him, stopping his train of thoughts.

Kaio looked at him and the young man asked if he was okay, to which he nodded then thanked them once more and they smiled at him before returning to their seats.

At the time, Kaio was still not feeling well but didn't want to cause a fuss about it, little did he know that it was not going to stop anytime soon and the dream was just a beginning of it.

Later that day, after college was dismissed, Kaio left to pick up his sister since he had to go to work, when he passed by a building where people were training to use their various talents.

'I wonder why that event happened back then, some of them doesn't even deserve what they got, some of them are just playing high and mighty, I wonder if something really bad does happen, what will they be able to do then?' He thought as he arrived at her school.

"Bro," She called out as she rushed to him and he smiled when he saw her.

"Are you ready to go? I have to go to work soon after," He said and she nodded.

"All right, let's go," He said but just then, the earth beneath their feet began vibrating, shaking everything within a few miles.

Kaio's brows furrowed as he grabbed onto his sister's arm and her eyes narrowed as she looked around.

"Earthquake?" She asked and he nodded as a few things within the area started falling apart.

"Look out," Kaio said as a large rock was falling towards them and he pushed his siter out of the way.

But as the large object was getting near him, fire engulfed it as someone's fist landed against it and it blew apart then the young man landed before them.

"Are you okay?" The young man asked as he looked back at them.

The girl stood up as other people with abilities began helping out, some of whom were students as well, for their world was not one without magic.
