Kaio looked at the ground and noticed that it was still trembling a little, then he grabbed onto his sister's arm and saw that she had a few minor bruises.
He sighed then approached the person that assisted him earlier and the guy looked back at him then he thanked him and the one that helped him grinned then patted him on his shoulder.
"You guys have to be careful, not everywhere you go you will find people with these kinds of abilities to help out not yet at least, lucky I was here, you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah, you are right and I am fine, thanks to you," He responded and the guy's brows furrowed as he glanced at Cia.
He approached Cia and Kaio glanced back at him, wondering what he was up to and Cia tilted her head a little to the right as he looked at her.
"What is it?" She asked.
"What are you guys to each other?" He asked.
"Siblings," She responded then he scoffed and a gentle smile appeared on his face.
"Well, that explains it as well, he was just ready to take the damage for he, even though he knew he might lose something, talk about a good brother, it's nice to have family like that, you must cherish it," He said as he was walking away and Kaio glanced at him.
"Going to help more people?" Kaio asked and the guy scoffed.
"I guess, some of us were given these abilities for a reason, some just boast and aren't capable of doing crap but some who are, just sit back and watch, but I am not like that, maybe I will see you around," He responded.
"Well, yeah..." Kaio said then the guy rushed off, using his fire ability to boost his speed and Kaio sighed.
'He is right, about most part, especially the part with the abilities, some of them don't even deserve having that power, ever since that incident, where a few got it... Even ones with great enough power, sits back and does nothing,' He thought.
"Bro... Thank you," She said.
After hearing his sister thank him, he flinched then turned to look at her and she smiled at him then he scoffed before approaching her.
"Oh? What's this? You are thanking me now" He asked.
"Whatever, just take it and be quiet," She responded and he chuckled.
"It's no big deal, you are my little sister, let's just get home," He replied as he passed his hand on her head, while walking away.
"You can be cool at times, huh?" She asked and his brows twitched then he hit her on her back and she laughed at him then he smiled.
As they were walking home, Kaio passed by a crack in the ground and just then he sensed something coming from it and his eyes widened then he came to a halt.
His sister kept on walking and didn't realize her bother wasn't with her and when she did, she turned around and saw him standing in one place, wondering what he was doing and she sighed.
'What the hell was that just now? It was a strange feeling, slightly heavy and ominous,' He thought as he glanced down at the crack and noticed a slightly red smoke.
"Bro, you are going to get late for work, let's go," She said as she approached him.
"Cia, do you feel different? See anything different?" He asked and her brows furrowed as she looked around and he clenched his right fist.
'What the hell is this?' Kaio thought nd his sister shrugged.
"Nope, I see nothing different, same usual boring place and I don't feel any different other than my arm hurting," She responded and he sighed
"Is something wrong?" She asked and he looked at her then his eyes narrowed.
"No, there is nothing wrong, let's just head home and you are not to go anywhere without telling me where you are going once, I leave to go to work, am I clear?" He asked as he walked away and she peeked at him.
"You really are having a mood swing, I get it, I will tell you," She responded as she followed him and his brows furrowed.
'Something just doesn't feel right here, these past few days a lot of weird things have been happening to me, I am not imagining things,' He thought.
"Hey, Cia," He said.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Make sure mom doesn't find out about what happened here today, she will just worry about it, you get it?" He asked.
"Yeah, I get it, also they are giving mom a hard time, you know that, to not make things worse, you have to stay cool, you know how things are with us and that family," She responded.
"Don't worry, I will handle it all, I will show them some day as well, I will make sure they pay," He said with a piercing look in his eyes and a worried expression appeared on her face.
'I hope he doesn't do anything crazy, he is not the type to just stay put, to be honest, even I feel like ripping them apart at times, but...' She thought before lowering her gaze and he noticed but said nothing.
Ater a little while, they arrived home and both of them went inside then kaio got changed and sat down in his room, to do his homework, before going to work.
A while later, as he was doing his homework, he remembered what he had been noticing lately and he decided to take a look on the interest for unusual activities in the area lately.
While going through the different things he found out noticed most people just saying it was a side effect of the recent climate change.
'That incident seven years ago...' He thought.
Seven years ago, within the world, with terrible weather and lightning flashing everywhere, an unnatural phenomenon had happened, a wave of energy was swept across the land.
Due to which a chosen amount of people was given magical abilities, but whether it was for the good or bad, no one knew, they all just accepted it happily, after which a small evolution was started.
