The colossal mass of black tendrils loomed in the heart of the town, pulsating like a living entity. Soon enough, it split open, revealing someone or something struggling to emerge.
It was a monster in the form of a woman, her hair entangled with the black tendrils, her attire a full-body suit made from the same dark mass.
No legs, just a seamless connection to the giant glob. Her elongated arms, likely crafted from the tendrils as well, hung at her sides.
Her eyes glowed menacingly red, and her pallid skin took on a nearly gray hue. Blood of tears streamed down her face, but the look she gave me spoke of intense hatred, probably because I rudely disrupted her slumber.
Feeling a bit challenged, I wanted to see what the Architect could pull off. After all, I didn't want Seraphina hogging all the glory.
'Tiamat, let's step it up. Hold the MP depletion, and toss something my way that can help me win this fight,' I said to her.
Glancing at my dwindling HP, thanks to the Lifebearer effect, I hoped she could work her skill on that too.
{Sure, the MP and HP would stop being drained for 3 hours}
{I hold your HP at 50% for the weapon buff}
Great! Now, what should I do to defeat that monster?
Before I could think further, the tendril's arms lashed out, and I dodged skillfully, but the monster's cries were a different story. The intensity of its voice made my ears bleed, forcing me to cover them desperately.
Damn, this monster cried enough to literally turn this side of town into chaos, it was so loud, my head spinning.
Redirecting her cry toward me, I couldn't evade the echoing waves fast enough. The force threw me violently into a crumbling building, the impact sending debris flying.
Shit! Those echoes were crazy! I'm glad my HP now couldn't be drained because if it could, it would be the death of me. Man, the pain was unbearable.
Shaken but undeterred, I struggled to stand. The monster had trapped me with its sticky black tendrils, preparing for another attack. Covered me in black mass and made me hard to move.
The red orbs blinked rapidly, signaling an imminent explosion. Quick thinking allowed me to use the bayonet on my carbine to free myself, turning the tendrils to ashes because it was covered with holy magic.
Then I shot the red orb, making it stop blinking and the movement of this black mass was stopped. As I stood, wiping blood from my ears, I realized the battle was far from over.
From a distance, Seraphina unleashed a dazzling display of lasers from enchanted magic circles, piercing the monster's body. Yet, the black mass stubbornly regenerated, intertwining with her form.
What a bad situation, it would be a never-ending fight until who knows when. That black mass was all over the city anyway.
{That black mass or tendrils can take human life force and change them into the Crimson Enchantress MP and body.}
Ah, I see... Now I need to think fast to defeat that monster. I have many skills and unlimited MP with me, I could do anything I wanted. So I decided to Materialize my weapon, I transformed it into a missile launcher.
I decided to use the strongest skill for now and hoped that the monster could die in one shoot.
Then, I muttered, "Tempest Triad." The missiles tore through the monster, causing a colossal impact that crumbled nearby buildings. The tendrils turned to ash, seemingly neutralized by the holy magic.
I sighed, "That's easy." I said to myself. There was no way that thing could survive it.
But I was wrong, like really wrong. The surviving tendrils transformed into a massive slime, relentlessly advancing to revive the Crimson Enchantress.
What a regenerative skill! That means I need to attack it with much stronger skills to annihilate all of that slime until it is gone.
What a pain.
I soared high to approach Seraphina and said, "Keep attacking that black mass with your holy magic!" I said screaming from the high.
I changed my weapon into Lumina Blaster and muttered, "Luminous Nova Blast." and the impact of that skill was an erupt radiant explosion, dealing area damage.
I could hear the glob of slime scattered and shrieking, like a bunch of people screaming in pain. It was painful to hear, but still, I shot the globe as much as I could. It was also the same as Seraphina.
"Damn! That thing won't run out!" I cursed.
Realizing the slime has transformed into a woman, imperfect yet destined to become the monster again. Skill cooldowns hindered my attacks, and Seraphina's normal strikes proved futile against the perfect form.
As it was already in perfect shape, the monster's scream took a different turn, manifesting into a giant magic circle, unleashing a relentless crimson laser that pursued me, demolishing buildings as I flew faster.
Though I evaded the laser, Seraphina, battered and bruised, couldn't escape its destructive path.
The black mass and tendrils in the ground even morphed into small, agile monsters resembling tiny zombies, surrounding Seraphina.
Some could jump high, while others even flew, attempting to latch onto my body. Swiftly, I countered, attacking them with a bayonet infused with holy magic.
I decided to fly higher to evade all of it and even shoot every being that tried to be close to stick to me. That small zombie was disgusting as hell!
Amidst the chaos, a notification shattered my focus:
[Your Summoned Being has been slayed]
[You couldn't summon again until 6 hours]
Fuck! What should I do now? Darn it!
Seraphina was strong but I couldn't help but notice her battle IQ might not be on par with her sheer power. If I could tap into that power, winning this fight would be a walk in the park.
{Are you sure about that?}
Tiamat's question was odd. Of course, I could! She has more power than she showcased a moment ago! But for some reason, she decided to use the most basic skills.
I mean, come on, she didn't even fly at all with those massive wings!? Next time I summon something, I gotta consider their brainpower and battle experience, for real.
{Well then, I could transfer Seraphina's skill into yours}
What? Seriously?! Why didn't you mention that earlier? Could've spared me from being hurled into that building.
Tiamat just laughs it off, kinda getting on my nerves. But I gotta play nice; she's the only one with the bag of tricks that can help me out here.
{The Architect activated: analyzing all of "Seraphina" the summoned being skills and attributes}
{Analyzing completed}
{Transfering all of "Seraphina" the summoned being skills into the host temporarily}
{Transfer completed}
{Time remaining: 3 hours}
A surge of power emanated within me, accompanied by a painful sensation. I winced, feeling a transformation taking place.
A massive wing emerged from my back – I had truly become Seraphina! The luminous wing shimmered as I navigated through the air, reveling in the newfound coolness.
But then something struck me, what about the weapon? How could I win this fight without a weapon? I am a Ranger Class and as I know, I couldn't hold staff like a Mage class was.
{You forget I could switch your attribute? I can make you into a mage.}
{and about the weapon, I could make the Morphic Arsenal morph into any weapon that exists in this world.}
With a smirk and a nod, I embraced the realization that today marked the pinnacle of my power. No longer destined for defeat, this was undeniably my time to shine!

I actually wanted to make MC summon the character from anime or a game, but I changed it since I don't want any problem with the copyright.
So any character that the MC summons is just from the fictional character in the MC world.
