Nellys pov.
After our night out with Alexander's fiancée, Samantha, I tried to push aside my growing feelings for him. I knew that it was impossible for anything to happen between us, and I didn't want to jeopardize my job or his relationship. But as the days went by, I found it increasingly difficult to resist his charm.Alexander seemed to sense my attraction to him, and he started to confide in me about his troubles with Samantha. He told me about their fights and how they seemed to be growing apart. I listened to him intently, feeling a sense of compassion for him.
One afternoon, we were working together in his office when he suddenly stood up and walked over to me. He looked down at me, his eyes intense."Nelly, I have to tell you something."
I looked up at him, feeling a sense of nervousness. "What is it?"
"I'm not happy with Samantha. We're not getting along, and I feel like we're growing apart."I felt a pang of sympathy for him. "I'm sorry to hear that, Alexander. Is there anything I can do to help?"He shook his head. "No, I just wanted to talk to someone about it. It's been weighing on me."I nodded, feeling a sense of closeness to him. "I understand. You can always talk to me if you need to."He smiled at me, and I felt a rush of warmth. "Thanks, Nelly. You're a great friend."
Over the next few weeks, Alexander and I grew closer. We spent more time together, talking about work and life, and I found myself falling harder for him. He was kind, funny, and incredibly intelligent. I loved being around him, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing whenever we were apart. One evening, we were working late in his office when he suddenly looked up at me. "Nelly, can I ask you something?""Of course," I said, feeling a sense of nervousness. He walked over to me and took my hand. "Do you feel what I feel?"I looked up at him, feeling a sense of confusion. "What do you mean?"He leaned in closer to me. "Nelly, I think you're amazing. I'm attracted to you, and I can't stop thinking about you."
I felt my heart racing as he said that. "Alexander, I don't know what to say."He leaned in even closer, his lips only inches from mine. "Nelly, I want to kiss you. Will you let me?"For a moment, I hesitated, knowing that it was wrong. But then I gave in, feeling a rush of desire. I leaned in and kissed him, feeling a sense of electricity between us.We kissed for what felt like hours, lost in our passion for each other. I knew that it was wrong, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. In that moment, nothing else mattered except Alexander and me.
But then, just as things were getting really heated, there was a knock on the door. We quickly pulled apart, looking at each other in shock.
"Alexander, it's Samantha," a voice called out from the other side.Alexander looked at me, his eyes full of fear. "Nelly, you have to hide. She can't see you here."I nodded, feeling a sense of panic. Alexander quickly helped me hide under his desk, and I tried to steady my breathing as Samantha walked in."Alexander, what are you doing here so late?" she asked, looking around suspiciously.
"I was just working," he said, trying to sound casual.Samantha looked at him skeptically, then walked over to his desk. I held my breath as she leaned down and picked up a file."What's this?" she asked, flipping through the page "It's just some work stuff," Alexander said, trying to sound nonchalant.
Samantha raised an eyebrow. "Is there someone else here with you?Alexander's eyes darted to mine, and I tried to stay as still as possible under the desk."No, of course not," he said quickly.
Samantha looked at him suspiciously, then walked over to the door. "Fine. I guess I'll leave you to your work then."As soon as she left, Alexander helped me out from under the desk. We looked at each other, both of us breathing heavily.
"That was close," he said, running a hand through his hair.
"Yeah," I said, feeling a sense of guilt. "I shouldn't have let this happen."Alexander looked at me, his eyes intense. "Nelly, I don't regret what just happened. I want to be with you, even if it means risking everything."I shook my head, feeling a sense of fear. "I don't know, Alexander. This is too risky."He took my hand, looking at me with a sense of determination. "Please, Nelly. I need you. I can't keep pretending that everything is okay with Samantha when it's not. I want to be with you, and I don't care about the consequences."
I looked at him, feeling a sense of confusion. Part of me wanted to be with him, to let go of all my worries and just give in to our attraction. But another part of me knew that it was wrong, and that I couldn't risk my job or his relationship.
"I don't know, Alexander," I said, feeling tears welling up in my eyes. "I need some time to think."He nodded, looking at me with a sense of sadness. "Okay. Take all the time you need. But know that I'm here for you, no matter what."
With that, he walked me to the door and we said our goodbyes. As I walked back to my apartment, my mind was racing. I knew that I couldn't keep letting my feelings for Alexander grow, but at the same time, I couldn't shake the sense of attraction I had towards him.I spent the rest of the night tossing and turning, trying to make sense of my emotions. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake the feeling that Alexander was the one for me. And that no matter what the consequences, I couldn't resist the pull between us.
As I finally drifted off to sleep, I knew that I had a decision to make. Whether to risk everything and be with Alexander, or to try and resist our attraction and stay in our current roles. It was a decision that could change everything, and I wasn't sure I was ready for it.
