Lydia knew they needed to leave quickly. The king's guards might have discovered her escape from her cell, and if they caught her again, she'd meet a grisly end.
'Any idea how to get out of here?' she asked in her mind. She was desperate for a plan.
Celestine, always energetic, responded with excitement. "I've got an idea!"
Lydia was taken aback. "Wait, can you read minds too?"
Celestine chuckled. "No, I just figured you were confused about what to do next."
Impatient, Lydia urged her to share the plan. "Alright, if you know a way, tell me. We need to find safety fast."
Celestine pointed confidently in a direction. "I watched when Bruno and Giles were taken away. If we follow that road straight to the end, we'll reach the exit gate."
Without hesitation, Lydia started running in that direction. She longed to reunite with her godsons but had plans to teach them a harsh lesson for their carelessness. She wasn't about to be caught again.
