"Toro Wilson?"
Her heart made a quick gallop, her voice fell into a whisper with her breath quickening when she realized who held her from falling was no other than the very man she was so excited to meet. Staring at him at a close up, he looked more attractive in person than in movies. His hair was tied in a man bun with his marble eyes that seemed to have a story of their own. His eyebrows were thick, complimenting his well defined nose and small lips. Just like in his movies, he looked good but seeing him up this close was a dream come true and the most part of it was he was holding her against his body, holding her from falling. Jane's heart did another gallop at their proximity. She swallowed hard as adrenaline pumped in high gear all across her body, she tried to stop herself from reacting to his hold. His strong yet firm hold around her as the strong amazing perfume from him permeated her head.
She held onto a handful of his shirt as though her life depended on it. She still couldn't digest the fact she was in the arms of a man who is her idol, role model and inspiration. Her heart raced and her insides bubbled with ecstasy, short of words but at the same time, she felt an immense gratitude and joy being in his presence.
She could feel her fangirl mood activating and her sweaty hands as a result of how nervous she was too. There was an awkward tense silence between them as the man holding her against him stared at her. Those marble eyes were affecting her body and she could feel her body reacting to them already. Just when she thought her dreams had finally came through, she felt him pull her away from him immediately, startling her. He unwrapped his arm around her waist so quickly she was both startled and puzzled at the same time. At the way he pulled away from her, she ended up landing on her butt on the stone pathway.
Perplexed, she gaped at him. The sun streaming in through the trees casted a shadow on his face, making it impossible for her to see the expression on his face. His eyes were the only thing visible and they looked so detached. Jane thought he was going to extent a hand to her but she didn't it coming. He gaped at her for some minutes and walked away. Towards the crew and all.
Jane sat there for a moment, wondering what just happened. Trying to understand what could have made him act this way. This was her first time meeting him in real life and this was what she got from her favorite movie idol? She flew her gaze to the direction of the crew who has finished setting up their cameras and stuff and saw the look some of them were throwing her. With the embarrassment she felt and the questions in her, she got up to her feet and walked toward the gazebo.
"We'll be live in 3 minutes," someone from the crew who seemed like the director in charge of the interview said. He was seated across them, adjusting the lens of his cameras.
Jane thought this should be the time to thank him and to also ask him why he did what he did a little while ago. She braced herself, sitting put on her chair beside his with the table serving as a demarcation. She swallowed hard, calming her nervous nerves and stealing a quick glance at him. His face was straight and his eyes were directed on the cameras.
He exuded with rich aura and sorta of authority. Gaping at him, he looked a lot different in real life than in movies.
"Umm…..thank you for what you did back there," she started, feeling nervous. Wiping her sweaty hands on her dress and calming her racing blood. She expected him to answer but he didn't, he only gave her a faint nod without sparing her a look.
She felt awkward at his silence causing her to let out a light nervous chuckle. She wondered what to say to get him speak but nothing was coming to her head, she wanted to ask him why he did what he did a while ago but she refrained. First impression mattered and she wanted to leave the best impression on him.
"Want to tell you, I'm a huge fan of yours," her fangirl mood finally activated as she continued looking at him, praying he'd swift his head to her direction which he did. He looked at her, eyes so impassive and intense Jane literally felt she was almost hypnotized. Those eyes— were the same eyes which stared at her so lovingly and seductively in her dreams.
"I started watching your movies from when you were a teen and I have loved your acting since then…..you were my role model in acting...." A small wry smile appeared on her face when he didn't utter a word and simply stared at her. "And I can't believe I'd be acting with you, the legendary actor."
He didn't say a word. But continued to gawk at her like some eye catching interesting artifact in a museum. She felt a little stupid she was doing all the talks. she let out a nervous chuckle and looked away.
Feeling her cheeks heat up at the intensity of his eyes. She channeled her eyes to the cameras and the crews, seeking for a little bit distraction. Shortly, an average young woman with short permed hair, dressed in a short over the knee length black gown which accentuated her little curvy figure sat opposite them.
"Now we are live, 3, 2, 1!" The man who seemed like the director announced behind the cameras. Cameras started rolling, videoing and recording.
"So you have with me Jane Anderson and Toro Wilson who'd be starring in an upcoming historical magical romance drama." The female interviewer began, looking over at the sheets of papers in her grip. "So tell me, Ms Anderson, what are you thoughts concerning this new drama, how do you feel about it?"
Jane sat upright. Picking and choosing her words carefully. "I feel it'd be a good one," said her with a huge smile plastered across her face. "And I feel honoured knowing Wonder Prism Studio thought of me as the best candidate for the female lead. I couldn't feel more happier."
"Nice…..it must have been of great joy to you."
"Yes," Jane nodded and smiled. Fighting the urge not steal a glance at the man opposite her.
"Mr Wilson, how do you feel about this upcoming drama? What are your concerns?"
Jane looked at the man beside her, waiting for his response. Toro shifted his eyes to the interviewer, gave her a brief stare before directing them back on the cameras.
"Are there any skinship, bed and steamy scenes involved in the drama?"
Jane was thrown offguard by his question. She snapped her head at him, shocked. The interviewer and the rest of the crew were equally caught off guard by his question.
"Of course there are….." The female interview answered. "Why?"
"I want them to be removed...."
"Huh?" Jane queried, puzzled. Eyes filled with surprise and questions staring at him. "What? Why?"
"I don't get you…..Mr Wilson," the interviewer gave him a puzzled look. "Why would you want them removed? They are the essential stuff in the drama…..it is a romance drama so skinship, intimacy are to be involved between you and Ms Anderson." She motioned to Jane.
Jane suck in a breath when his intense eyes came to rest on her again. Honestly speaking, she wished she could find a clue of what was going on in his head but she couldn't, his eyes were completely shunning her away but it awfully baffled her as to why he'd want to suggest such a thing.
"Mr Wilson, do you have a reason for wanting the intimacy and skinship scenes removed?"
He kept mute for a fleeting minute. "No reason," he sighed. "I'd like them removed."
"If you have no reason of wanting them removed why request it?" Jane snatched the question the female interviewer wanted to ask him.
"Mr Wilson, you do realize you are starring in a romance drama not your usual action drama? So removing the skinship and stuff will drain the essential of drama."
Toro kept mute which got Jane wondering if he didn't want to act with her. She felt her heart breaking at that thought. Was he requesting that so he wouldn't have to play intimate scenes with her? Now the rare opportunity to be close to him in a drama even though it was an act had come, something was being a barrier between them. If he could act those skinship movies and dramas with those female actresses, why not her?
Is there something wrong with her? Was there a reason from her side as to why he wouldn't accept the intimate scenes? Does he perhaps have a girlfriend now? Was that the reason he was asking for the scenes to be removed? Don't be silly Jane, she scolded herself. That mustn't be the reason though because married actors and actresses still act intimate scenes so what was his reason?
"Mr Wilson, I heard you have rejected many roles because of the intimate scenes, what your reason though?" The interviewer pressed.
"No reason," he replied in a cold low tone. "Also can Wonder Prism Studio change the female lead?"
Jane's blood stiffed at his last lines.
"What?" The female interviewer gaped in shock.
"I'd like another actress to take up the female lead. Only then, would I be willing to consider the skinship parts."
