A familiar girl with flowing black hair and emerald green eyes was walking towards us. She had changed from the bikers output and was putting on a light pink blouse and a blue skirt. It would seem as though Lydia Smart had recovered.
"Wait how did she recover this quickly?" I muttered under my breath.
If my memory was correct then Lydia should have or should I say should have had a broken ankle or at least a sprained one. So for her to recover in a few hours like this was impossible. Logically speaking and the fact the she had really shocked me more than the fact that she was actually walking towards me.
Was she coming to take it out on me for the incident? I wondered for a moment before I myself stood up and walked towards her.
We managed to gather some if not most of the attention of the rest of the students in the dining hall.
We met at in the middle only a distance of 1m separating us.
Now that I look at it, I was a head taller than her so she had to look up at me slightly.
We stayed like this for a moment. Her emerald green eyes looked onto my brown almost black eyes.
Lydia suddenly looked away from my gaze. She blushed lightly. I chuckled lightly at this reaction.
"I didn't catch your name during the last three times we met" I said lightly.
She looked at me puzzled. "Three times?"
"Yes. The one time in class. The other last night and well this morning…I guess I should also be thanking you right?" I was certain this was the same girl who had caught me last night when I was falling unconscious due to my injuries.
"You actually remember what happened last night?" she asked in a slightly surprised tone that was a little too loud. Everyone in the cafeteria heard her and her fanatics immediately went into an uproar when they misinterpreted her words
"No! My goddess has been tainted" one of them shouted. Before the commotion could go on though the door of the dining room forcefully burst open as a figure flew through them before sliding on the ground.
Immediately my eyes widened in shock.
The red wild hair, the slightly round body and even with the swollen and beaten up shape of his face I could recognize Billy at a glance.
I don't know when I moved or even how I moved but 5 seconds later, I was kneeling right beside my friend.
"Billy!" I heard Jordan shout as he practically leapt over the table with his well built body. He too was kneeling beside me. And we were both checking on Billy's condition.
His face was truly a swollen face. Slightly bloodstained and had two distinct tear streaks on either side of his cheeks. His hair even looked to be pulled at some ends.
At a glance it was enough that someone had picked on my friend. Anger boiled in my chest as I looked at the open doors where there now stood a young man with short blue hair and blue eyes. He had a really muscular build. One that made Jordan's look like childplay. He had three other guys around.
But that didn't stop me from glaring at him with angry eyes.
Usually I wasn't one to show my anger. You could insult me, beat me and even bully me but if it was something to do with my friends then I wasn't one to easily back down.
The blue haired young man sneered at me
"Didn't you're mother teach you some manners" he spoke like he was on top of the world. "How dare a dog look at me like that!" he barked.
I clenched my fist. A vein threatening to pop as my anger slowly boiled over.
Though he hadn't done it directly, this guy had insulted my mother.
"Why did you do this to him?" I asked while facing down. Looking at Billy and taking note of each and every injury. Be it on his face or on the rest of his body.
"Do I need a reason to hit a dog?" the young man's sneer deepened.
I didn't know who this guy was but what I did know was that this guy was a rich snob. One who liked to flaunt his family's power and wealth and feel like he was on top of the world
…
Meanwhile Lydia's reaction was different. She had seen Huey's movement but that wasn't what actually shocked her. Rather it was the young man's appearance that did.
The blue hair and the blue eyes. Those were the distinct traits of all those who belonged to the Geon Family. Which specialized in body enhancing techniques.
The Geon family and the Smart family were about to be allied and what better way is there to do that than through political marriage.
Her second sister, the second born was betrothed to the heir of the Geon family head position.
She didn't particularly like the Geon family that much because most of them were actually jerks who treated women as nothing more than trophies and baby making machines. Regardless of this though they were known for their physical strength while her family was known for its taming abilities.
And this situation right now, it wasn't good at all.
Lydia had a complicated expression on her face as she could feel the anger that practically radiated off Huey.
…
My body trembled in anger as I stood up. My face was still looking downwards and I took a step towards the rich snob but before I could take another step Billy reached out and grabbed my leg weakly before saying in a weak voice:
"Don't…it was my fault"
This statement only seemed to make my anger boil more.
"Maybe so but its already too late to back down now" I replied while looking my heated gaze on the blue haired guy. "I'm gonna pound this blueberry head. Every single wound he inflicted on you…I'm going to pay him back double"
