Duke Echeron was now in the underground dungeon hidden somewhere beneath Marquis Bellona's mansion.
The Duke was sitting on someone's back as they spoke.
"Who did it?" Duke Ecrheron asked the man he was sitting.
"I swore I didn't know!!!" the man yelled in pain because The Duke stabbed his butt with a knife.
The man had blood all over his face, and a few of his fingernails were missing. To look closely, he is one of the attendants in the bow competition, the one who was guarding the bow and arrow.
Duke echeron stood up as the guy crumbled on the ground. He knelt in front of the guy and held his jaw with his one hand.
"You're the only one who has access to the bows, and you didn't know?" Duke echeron asked as he slapped the attendant's face.
The attendant shook his hand, telling The Duke he knew nothing.
The attendant started to cough up blood. But the Duke didnt show any remorse. He just looked at him coldly.
Duke echeron stood up and walked toward the burner. He put a dagger in the burning coal.
"Are you sure?" The Duke asked again.
"Because if not, this will pierce through your flesh." the Duke showered him a hotted steel dagger.
The silver dagger turned orange as it showed it was so hot that it would burn your skin layer. The attendant kneels with his head on the ground, pleading with the Duke's mercy.
"I swore I didn't know! I--I left the room to take a piss for a minute," he confesses.
The Duke put the dagger back on the burner and walked toward the table full of torture tools. The attendant shook in, fearing for his life. He thinks that The Duke doesn't believe him and he will be killed.
He knelt down sincerely on the ground, asking the Duke for his mercy. Then he remembered something on that day.
"I---I saw two ladies leaving the area that day" the man yelled, catching The Duke's attention. He looked at the attendant and grinned.
"Why did you report it?" the Duke asked as he approached the attendant with a hammer in his hand.
"Be-because they were the ladies that Lady Catherine Friend," he said fearfully.
Duke echeron face darkened. He already had a hunch that Lady Catherine was the one who broke Iris's bow. Now that The Duke has his proof, He will use this to destroy the Marquis.
Duke servant suddenly burst into the door. He rushed towards the Duke without stopping a step.
The servant whispers urgently to The Duke's ear.
He heard that something terrible happened to Iris. She was kidnapped in her room. This information made The Duke's Eyes turn red as fire. The room temperature starts to get hotter and hotter.
The Duke tried to control his temper. The information he received still rang in his ears. The last thing Duke Echeron wants to do is kill everyone in the place right now. But he needs to be patient for now.
Duke Echeron summons his Dark Knights. The knight started to come out of his shadow.
The Dark Knight looked like a ghost with armour. It had no face; everything was dark and blurry. They looked like they were standing and walking but had no Legs.
"You can do whatever you want to him," the Duke told the dark knights, pointing to the attendant on the floor.
"Follow me after you finish," he commanded his Dark knights.
The knights nod, knowing what to do with the attendant of the Marquis.
"aaaaggggghhhhhhh!" the attendant shouted as he disappeared in the dark.
Echeron and his knight started to move toward the Death Forest.
When they were near the entrance, smoke covered the forest below.
When they look up, the light of the burning trees can be seen in the distance.
Echeron saw a carriage trying to flee the scene.
"Capture them," Duke Echeron commands to his Dark Knights.
The knight instantly follows the Duke's commands and follows the carriage with their bicorn.
The Duke commanded Some of his Dark Knights to extinguish the fire since this part of the land was controlled by the demon lord, and if a human started this, they might start an unstoppable war.
While the Dark Knight tried to control the Dark Forest. Duke Echron started his search. The flame doesn't bother him at all since he has immunity.
After a while, on the edge of the Cliff, he saw Iris and Fredrick jump off the Cliff. He rushed towards there as fast as he could, but it was too late.
Duke Echeron got down from his horse and looked down the Cliff.
He can't see Iris or Fredrick coming out of the water.
The Duke's anger was uncontrollable this time. A war might start soon, he thought.
But after some time, he saw Fredrick coming out of the water, dragging Iris with him to the shore.
The Duke hurriedly rode his horse down to the shore to meet them, and some of his regular knights also joined him.
The fire was almost extinguished from the dark forest.
As the sun rose up, the ocean flicked with its brightness. He saw Iris and Fredrick laughing together.
He felt a little jealous, but he didn't know his feelings.
"IRIS!" he shouted.
Iris looked back and saw him. She immediately stood up and ran toward the Duke, hugging him so tight.
It's almost Been an Hour since the incident.
The hunting event was cancelled on its last day.
Iris was now sleeping in her room guarded by the Duke's knights.
Fredrick's plan to rob the count's embezzlement info also failed; they had to go home with nothing. But Fredrick doesn't mind at all since he saves something precious instead.
"Don't worry, Lord Fredrick," Maria said
Fredrick looked at her, confused.
"We still got this from the count," Maria said, showing a jewellery bag.
Fredrick laughed so hard he looked back at the mansion as they walked away.
"I'll see you soon," he whispered.
"What was that?" Maria asked
"Nothing, let's go," Fredrick said as they leapt through the trees and disappeared.
Duke Echeron is Now sitting in the office of the Marquis.
"Do you know what you did?" The Duke asked.
