Iris couldn't explain what she saw.
Tales about Phantoms and Ghost had always freaked her out. She never liked reading horror stories and always stayed away from books like that because once she read them, she could never get them out of her head.
It was dark and Gloomy night. Iris knew that ghosts appeared around this time and starts scaring people. This made her step back in fear.
The more Iris stepped back, the more the man that looked like a ghost stepped forward. Then suddenly, the man smiled. Iris still can't see his face because of the darkness, but he can see his white teeth.
Iris had a gut sense he was taunting her, simply because the Ghost knew she was scared.
When she was about to run, the man suddenly grabbed her wrist. Iris looked at the Ghost uncomfortably and shocked.
The Ghost suddenly spoke and said something that sounded like, "I'm not a Ghost."
But somehow, Iris didnt hear it because she started screaming.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Stay away from me, you filthy Ghost."
The man started shaking Iris and tried to make her look at him.
"Stop screaming! I won't kill you," the man said
Finally, Iris stopped screaming and looked at the man. He was not a ghost obviously.
He wears a high-collared, tailed coat with white and silver feather patterning. Inside, he wears a black waistcoat with white highlights. He has a pendant decorated with black and white feathers tucked into the collar of his waistcoat. He wears simple black pants and leather shoes. He wore a white mask covering his face that made him look like a ghost.
He removed his mask, revealing his captivating face. He had a black crystal diamond on his forehead, his hair was long up to half of his back, he had pointy ears, his eyes were red like a ruby, same as echeron, and his hair was black as a night.
Iris exhaled in relief. "You're a person!"
"How can you be so sure?" The mysterious man asked.
"You can hold me, and you said to for yourself," Iris said.
The Mysterious Man laughed, "But I'm not human."
"what do you mean not human?" Iris wondered. "so you are dead?"
"Not quite," he said and started walking away.
"Wait!" Iris yelled.
She looked at the door again. She was curious what that door was, but she was scared of going there alone, so he followed the man instead.
Iris catches up with the mysterious man.
"I never seen you around here?" Iris asked
"Are you not afraid of following a man you just met?" He asked her back
Iris thought about it, but since this is the Duke estate, Burgars can't enter easily. So, she figured out somehow that he worked for the duke.
"No" Iris answered
The man chuckled as he made his way to a door on the side, Iris followed him since she knew she was lost, too. When they got inside, it was an extensive library with never-ending bookshelves.
Iris was in awe when she saw the library. It was different from what she had seen before. Books she had never read before it was amazing.
"You like it?" the man asked.
"yes!" Iris said cheerfully.
"You work here?" Iris asked
"No, I sleep here," he answered, laughing.
"What?" Iris asked, wondering when he said sleeping in the library instead of reading.
"This place is perfect for napping!" He yelps. And started arranging books like a pillow.
"Wait, what? Who are you really?" Iris asked again.
"Ohh! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lucifer." he extended his arm for a shake.
Iris received his hand and shook it.
"Your name is weird, sounds like evil" Iris said
"I am evil! How did you know?" Lucifer grinned.
Iris thought he met a weird fella weirder than that servant in the garden.
"just joking! Why so serious?" Lucifer said
Iris fixed her composure and expression, not act rude to this Lucifer guy anymore.
"I'll just leave," Iris said
Before Iris left, she got a few books for her liking and walked towards the exit.
"Nice to meet you, by the way," Lucifer shouted.
Iris looked back and saw Lucifer was now on the table, lying down with a few books on his head for support.
Iris just rolled his eyes. She really thinks that guy is weird. That differs from his handsome face.
When Iris exited the door, everything was back to normal; the strange vibes she felt were gone, and the place looked familiar. She walked toward her room. There, Lilith and Arza were waiting for her inside.
"Why did you leave me alone?" Iris asked them
Lilith and Arza looked at each other, looking confused.
"You told us not to follow you," Arza said
"What? I did not!" Iris said
Iris did not remember anything about her telling them not to follow her. They just disappeared, and she was lost for some time. Looking at their faces now, Iris knew something was wrong with that door, or this mansion had ghosts. This thinking gave Iris goosebumps.
She Jumps on her bed, covering her body, hoping she can sleep the night.
(In Iris Dream)
Iris was sitting at the table, reading books about the outside world.
"Ah! I wonder what the sea feels like!" Iris said dreamily while hugging the book she was currently reading.
The room is enormous, but there are no windows or doors. There are a few tables and chairs, but everything else is full of books, like a library. There's one room for a bed where she can sleep, although, in every corner, you see all the books and research papers scattered around the floor.
Then suddenly, like a wind that flew by, somebody appeared in the shadows.
"Here you go," a high-pitched voice echoed.
The girl gasps in surprise. "You scared me! You're here again."
It was Iris Friend who brought her food and books, laughed a little, "I brought some more food and a new book I thought you might like," she said.
Iris looked at the book and started to feel something was off when she looked up. Everything was fuzzy and blurry.
"I got out," She said
"What?" her friend asked. "what do you mean?"
"I got out!!" Iris yelled
Then everything started to crumble and turned dark. A lady appeared again in the distance. She was transparent like a ghost.
You can't escape. it said
Then She rushed toward Iris and started choking her.
Iris felt somebody was shaking her. She opened her eyes and saw echeron.
"You're having a nightmare," Echeron said
Iris hugged him and started sobbing on his chest.
"I got out" she mumbles.
Echeron just hugged her and caress her hair.
