Chapter 10 - A Two Wheeled Beast

He stared at the bike in front of him in disbelief. It was not because the bike was bad, no. It was because he had not considered the fact that he needed a key to run it.

'Aaaah I hate this. If only I could remember things and use the memories and experiences of Jack effectively.'

He left the vehicle in the room before walking over to the garage, hoping to find a car, or any vehicle for that matter. The garage was accessible from the inside as well so he opened the door and turned on the lights.

An old car and a bike stood in the center of the garage and a few keys were hung up on the wall. Larcen directly walked towards the car and tried to send it to his inventory but was hit with an error message of excess weight.

He then shrugged and tried the bike which directly vanished from where it stood. Satisfied, he brought it back out and pulled out all the keys from the wall before trying them all. The bike had no logo or name on its body like the other one so picking the right key took time.

He did find the right one after a while and put it into the keyhole and twisted it before looking for the start button which wasn't present. Due to the lack of knowledge of motorbikes, he had no choice but to try using his Merchant's eyes.

Self Modified High Power Motorbike

Pick up = 0-60 Kmph in 5.9s

Top Speed = 125 Kmph / 78 miles

Kerb Weight = 170 Kg

Fuel Capacity = 14 Liters

}

He didn't know if those stats were good or bad so he simply decided to compare it with the other one.

RoadBoys 130xs

Pick up = 0-60 Kmph in 9.7s

Top Speed = 80 Kmph / 50 miles

Kerb Weight = 150 Kg

Fuel Capacity = 16 Liters

}

He could tell that the self-modified one was just way better but he still didn't know how to start the bike. He sighed as he looked around before checking all the drawers in the garage and found a few books and magazines about bikes.

He read them while sitting on the sofa in the living room and quickly searched for bike-starting methods. Most of them didn't give him what he wanted but he found his answer after an hour of browsing.

It was in a magazine that had content about extremely old bikes and all of them used a mechanism called kick start where the rider had to stamp on a lever to start the engine. He did not understand how it worked inside but he didn't care as long as he could get the bike working.

He walked back to the garage and could easily see the lever on the side of the bike. He put the key in and twisted it to ON mode before stamping the lever with all his might. The engine roared to life and the satisfaction he felt was immeasurable when he felt the engine's vibrations.

"Damn... I love this thing. I'll ride this one day and no one will be able to stop me. But for now, I'll keep it safe in my inventory.", he muttered before having it vanish from its place.

After that was done, he tried to check if both the bikes would stack over each other and found out that they, in fact, could. He sent the bike to his inventory and smiled satisfactorily before walking out of the garage, trying to find things to do.

His gaze traveled to the kitchen and that made him realize something.

'Ah, I forgot to get the portable stoves... I guess I'll keep the butane and propane cans for now, I should be able to find a portable stove in the future.'

He walked over to the kitchen and turned on the stove before checking the fridge for ingredients. He wasn't really experienced in cooking so he chose something that would be easy to make and went for a steak as there were a few in the fridge that might just get wasted in the future.

Half an hour later, he sat at the dining table and ate the meat. It was tender and juicy but lacked flavor since he had only used salt and butter. Even then, it was an enjoyable meal. He placed the plate in the sink and was about to get some water to drink when he heard sounds outside.

He ran to the window to check what was going on and saw the same group fighting with the goblins. They seemed to be at a disadvantage as the Goblins outnumbered them and since the goblin numbers were above ten, they were stronger than normal and matched the stats of the humans.

There were more than twenty goblins while there were only eighteen humans.

Larcen simply watched while he checked his system, which had only one change and that was the increase in SP. It was at 9 and the first thing he did was to buy a regeneration pill and swallowed it before checking the price of stat pills which cost 10 SP.

He felt like it was a scam as it only increased the stats by 0.1. After contemplating his chances of survival, he rushed back to the garage and picked up his backpack before placing an Axe in it. He then took out two Baseball Bats and hammered some nails on the wider end before putting those in his bag too.

He then stuffed a dagger in his left pocket and placed his palms over both his pockets to feel the daggers inside. He gave out a sharp exhale before putting on his bag and picking up his machete. He then walked over to the broken window and broke off the excess glass before jumping out.

He took out one of the baseball bats from his bag and ran to the road where the fight was going on. He took a proper aim and flung the bat at a Goblin which missed its target but hit another goblin instead.

The other goblin turned to look at him angrily but he was already in front of it, his machete only a few centimeters from its neck.
