"Who was that... Who?!... Where am I... Where are Anne and Mark?" Leo pondered, seeking answers in the unfamiliar hospital room.
"Madam... He is awake..." As Leo's thoughts raced, trying to figure out his whereabouts, voices echoed in the hallway, followed by fast-paced footsteps.
"Leo!!!..." He heard Anne's voice from behind the door before she even stepped in.
She stood at the door, her gaze locked on Leo, who was adorned in a patient's attire, his eyes drowsy, as he still felt sleepy.
Tears dripped down Anne's cheeks as she gazed at Leo, who even after escaping death, still wore that indifferent look.
"Anne, where are we..." Leo inquired a bit dazed, as he had not yet taken in the sights. He was not fully conscious, feeling drowsy as if he hadn't gotten enough sleep.
Anne, hearing Leo speak, rushed through the door and hugged him tightly.
"Eh!!!... Ehm!!!... What?!..." Leo stammered, taken aback by Anne's strange behavior.
