Charles walked into the room, his golden eyes casting a suspicious gaze upon Leo.

"Ahem!" He cleared his throat awkwardly, noticing his only daughter caught in a tight embrace by someone he had deemed a corpse.

When they saved the three, Leo was presumed dead, with signs pointing to his demise—his breathing had stopped, his heartbeat paused, and the warmth of his body replaced by the cold of death. They had contemplated burying him after finding his family among the survivors, but Anne and Mark objected, insisting he would wake up.

As rational adults, they objected, believing the children were merely refusing to accept the death of their friend and indulging in delusions.

Anne, the princess of the Walton family, pleaded with her father, fabricating obvious lies as excuses.
