"Welcome to Kaiser Academy!" The moment they heard the academy's name, all the commotion died down.
The man in the black coat said with a smile on his face, "Hello, everyone. I am Minza, the head in charge of all the first years. I am happy to see diversity this time."
At this, he looked around with focus. To his surprise, he found there were many pristine white kids with pointy ears. There were also many muscular kids with slight orange skin tones.
This was his first time to see Dwarfs and Elves. Many of the neighbors were looking at him in the same way, especially elves. He did know why, but many elves were looking at him with wide eyes.
Kane's voice came, [You are more white than many of them.]
Instructor Minza clapped, "Let's not waste time." He pointed toward them. "All of you are right now in the mana Chamber."
He looked around. It was an enormous chamber with dark grey walls, nothing else.
"Why are you there? Well, because it's time for all of you to form a spirit egg. I know many questions are coming to your mind, but let's forget about everything for now and concentrate on the main thing at hand, which is the formation of your spirit egg."
Everyone in the room sat straight at this.
"Well, let me give you two important instructions first. Look to your left."
He turned toward the left and saw a bunch of circles drawn at the end of the room where no one was sitting.
"Those circles are teleportation circles. The moment you've formed your spirit eggs, you need to go and stand on top of one of those circles. It will teleport you out of the mana chamber. Second, I want everyone to maintain a two-feet distance from your neighbor and sit comfortably."
The moment they heard this, many started shifting left and right to create the distance all around them. Soon, the commotion died down.
The instructor nodded. "Good. Now, there are many things we can talk about here, but let's focus on the things necessary for the formation of spirit eggs. There are two things necessary for the formation of the spirit egg."
He clicked his fingers, and water soon came out of his hand and formed the upper body of what appeared to be a human. "This here in my hand represents a body, and right at the center of the chest..." The water at the center of the chest became red. "This red is soul space, the first thing."
He pointed to them. "All of you have a soul space right at the center of your chest. The formation of the soul space starts at the moment you are born and it takes 16 years to mature. "
All the kids had wide eyes at this realization.
"Yeah, this is the reason the military academy starts at 16. The soul space is not a physical thing, but a spiritual area where your spirit will reside. But right now, it is empty with only an endless mana lake present there."
"The second important thing is the soul seed." A multi-color seed-like shape formed inside the head of the human figure present on instructor Minza's hand.
"This is the soul seed. We don't know the exact position of the soul seed and can only say it's present in some part of the soul which spreads throughout the body. Each of us already has both important elements for the spirit egg formation."
All the kids nodded in understanding.
"Soul seed is very interesting, and the most interesting power this soul seed gives us is the power to materialize our soul consciousness. It's nothing but an image of our soul that we can control. What we need to do is let this soul consciousness enter inside the soul space. That's it! "
He touched the red chest of the water figure. "The moment your soul consciousness with the soul seed enters inside the soul space, a tremor will start in the soul space. Next, the soul space will gain the finite boundary and an environment made of elements of mana will fill up the soul space."
The instructor saw many blank faces. He rubbed his forehead. "Ah, let me explain with an example. Let's say a person has a soul seed with fire and earth mana affinity."
The soul seed inside the human figure changed from multi-colored to red and brown. Soon, a smaller humanoid figure formed around the soul seed that was inside the brain of the big humanoid figure.
"This tiny figure is soul consciousness. It will have the same appearance as you. Now," the tiny figure moved toward the center red region.
Soon both the red region and the tiny figure overlapped. "You need to move that soul consciousness to the soul space, and done. A spirit egg of fire and earth affinity will form inside that person's soul space. That is the first half of the procedure."
Sir Minza shook his head while staring at them. "Many of you already started sweating. No need to worry. You don't need to do anything in the second part. After the spirit egg is formed, many changes will happen to your body and your soul space."
"The first thing that changes will be the soul space. The soul space will gain a finite boundary and the empty environment will change to something beneficial to the spirit egg. Like a river of lava with many mountains or a sea of lava with small land islands for the fire earth example. There are infinite ways the environment could change, but this change will only happen at this one time."
The tiny fig disappeared and many small thin red lines spread from the red chest to the whole body.
"The next thing to change will be your body. You all see the red line."
Everyone nodded.
"These lines are element veins. They will connect your new, changed soul space to your body. This would be a little uncomfortable, so need to panic. Last, all of you gain a half skill and the ability to look at your status. Someone will explain these things to you later. "
