Chapter 52 - Chapter 31 de 17 — Castiel vs. Dead Zona.

The imposing office of the Zona was situated at the heart of the headquarters, a focal point of authority and operations.

Upon crossing the building's threshold, Castiel was greeted by an overwhelming sight: the once organized and bustling space now lay in ruins. The atmosphere was permeated by a disturbing silence, interrupted only by occasional murmurs of agony.

Lifeless bodies, some possibly lifeless and others unconscious, adorned the floor, painting a grim picture of what had occurred.

Among the bodies strewn on the ground, some were soldiers under his command, familiar faces marked by battle. However, Castiel summoned inner strength and continued to advance.

Toc toc.

"Who's there?"

"Explosive Delivery for the Zona."

"Damn it!!"

Boooommmmmmmmm.

A deafening explosion shook the air, reverberating with devastating force. The sound of impact echoed like thunder, cutting through the tense air and triggering a shockwave that rattled the foundations of the place.

The abrupt blast filled the environment with a mix of shock and alarm, leaving everyone present under the immediate impact of this event.

With a majestic and elegant presence, Castiel entered the office. His posture was impeccable, radiating confidence and authority. Every movement was executed with calculated grace, as if he were dancing through the shadows of the surrounding destruction.

His entrance was not just a gesture, but a silent assertion of his unwavering determination, even in the face of the chaos around him.

"Did you enjoy the taste of the explosion, Zona?"

"Ask my assistant." Zona calmly declared as he remained seated behind the desk.

Zefis, the figure targeted by the devastating explosion, lay motionless on the ground. His body was still, a composition of fragility contrasting with his previous image of dominance and power.

The aftermath of the explosion had thrown Zefis into a state of vulnerability, transforming him from a formidable target into a fragile and defeated figure, thus revealing the effectiveness of the impact that had hit him.

"I don't need to. I feel he's already experienced it quite well. Isn't that right, Zefis?"

"Thank you for the meal. Lord Leader," Zefis said as he rose from his seated position.

"Before your death, tell me, Castiel. How did you manage all of this in my headquarters? Everything is crumbling because of you."

"All of this? Hahaha! It was easy for me. Isn't that right, Nana?"

"Yes, sir."

"I see your concubines came with you."

'Concubine my ass, you old fuck with a disfigured face, you probably can't even be loved for being so ugly.'

"Calm down, Nana is the main dish. I'll savor her after I blow your head up."

'Never!'

"You asshole. You'll regret it in hell!"

"I want to blow up and see."

"Zefis. Attack!"

"Yes, Commander."

Zefis launched himself into a bold run towards Castiel, his determination reflected in every quick and firm step. However, in an unexpected move, he passed Castiel like a fleeing shadow, his momentum abruptly halted.

His body stopped abruptly, as if colliding with an invisible barrier, suspending him in the air for a moment before falling backward, creating a scene of suspense and tension in the air.

"What does this mean, Zefis?"

"I've always wanted to say this, Commander Zona. That's right, useless commander! I doubt you understand with that tiny brain of yours. Your scars must have affected your mind to be so dumb."

"Now I understand. It was you!" Zona said angrily.

"Ooooh! Things are heating up here." Castiel interrupted. The mocking tone in his voice revealed a relaxed attitude, contrasting with the more serious atmosphere that had prevailed earlier.

Zona, whose expression showed a mixture of contained anger and frustration, raised his hand to his head and began to scratch it with impatient and nervous gestures. Each movement revealed the internal tension consuming him.

And once again, a trickle of blood began to flow from his head, painting a red trail amidst his pale skin.

"With the complexity of this brain, you might not fully understand. However, allow me to clarify."

"You son of a bitch!"

"I am a spy, but not just that; we are part of a network of infiltrators with a higher purpose. We initiated a rebellion, a task that surprisingly proved to be less difficult than expected."

'Less difficult, huh? It wouldn't have happened without my help,' Nana thought.

"My role involved strategically seeding a chosen rumor, which was enough to identify those who were loyal to the leader. My mission was to subtly manipulate these individuals, thus initiating the rebellion we had been planning for a long time. Each meticulously planned step was like a piece on a chessboard, and I played my part knowing I was laying the groundwork for the imminent insurgency."

'Convinced.'

"Since when? Since when have you been a spy?!"

"Always."

"I see. Then die!" Zona said as he punched the air forcefully.

With swift movement, Zefis managed to evade the direct punch that was aimed at him. However, fate played a trick, as despite his successful evasion, an unexpected twist occurred.

As Zefis avoided the punch, Nana, who was right behind him, ended up getting hit by the very blow meant for him, creating a moment of shock and surprise.

A chorus of painful moans echoed in the surroundings, escaping both Zefis and Nana's lips. The sounds of suffering filled the air, bearing witness to the impact of the collision and the intensity of the moment.

"Damn it!"

'So, your special ability to hit everything in the same place as your target is true.'

"Get back! Zona is my prey."

With a determined motion, Castiel skillfully stripped off his suit, revealing the shirt underneath. Carefully, he rolled up the shirt sleeve until his forearm was exposed.

At that moment, something remarkable began to happen: Castiel's hand and forearm started emitting a gentle glow that soon intensified. The luminosity ethereally enveloped his skin.

With a quick and energetic gesture, Zona slammed his hand onto the table with an impressive force. The table, propelled by the impact's strength, was hurled against the wall with a deafening crash, shattering into pieces upon impact.

"You know, this office is getting in the way. Let's take it outside."

"I'll kill you right here."

"Really? Alright then!"

Castiel channeled his energy intensely and precisely, focusing it into his feet with clear intent. With a sudden snap, a powerful explosion erupted from his feet, resulting in a devastating impact. The shoe he was wearing was consumed by the force of the explosion, disintegrating into fragments that dispersed through the air.

"Explosive Boost!"

Mastering his technique, Castiel converted the explosion at his feet into a formidable thrust. With a powerful leap, he launched himself through the air in a controlled trajectory, rapidly closing the gap between him and Zona. His flight was a fusion of grace and strength, bridging the space between them in the blink of an eye.

"Explosive Touch!"

"What? Arrrrgggghhhh!!"

With exceptional mastery of his ability, Castiel seized the opportunity to create an explosive and impactful moment. The point-blank burst of energy he concentrated detonated directly at short range into Zona. The explosion consumed the space between them with a bright flash and a fierce shockwave.

Soon after, Zona launched himself towards the concrete with astonishing speed, surpassing the building's limits in an upward trajectory.

His body transcended the building's height, passing beyond the structures that had once defined his reach. The audacious move carried him outside the building, where he finally touched the ground in a distant location.

"Damn it! I was caught off guard."

A feeling of frustration enveloped Zona, having been taken by surprise by the intensity of the attack. While processing this unexpected turn of events, his gaze shifted forward, where a new presence began to make itself known.

The sound of explosive footsteps mingled with a melody that filled the air, creating an intriguing contrast with the recent chaos.

"Nenenene! neneneneeeee! Explode with my explosion! Nenenene! neneneneeeee! I leave you in a state of combustion! Nenenene! neneneneeeee! Zona will be another in my explosion!"

"What the hell is this?"

As Zona observed, curious, the figure slowly revealed itself, someone walking towards him with an aura of calm and confidence. The harmony of the music was an interesting counterpoint to the tense situation, suggesting that a new chapter was about to begin.

"Intriguing. You managed to dodge before my hand could touch you and forced me to explode before the touch. Otherwise, you'd be dead, Silva."

"This will be the last time you get so close to me."

"Really? But that's truly exciting. This fight wasn't something I imagined."

"I've always waited for the day of your death."

"Let's give a name to this fight. How about…"

Castiel rested his hand on his chin, a gesture of reflection that showcased the intensity of his thoughts. His distant gaze fixated on a point ahead, delving into deep contemplation.

While the world around continued its course, Castiel immersed himself in a moment of introspection, his expression revealing the complexity of ideas and plans unfolding in his mind.

"I've got it. How weak you are. That name would be perfect."

"No matter how much you underestimate me. You'll end up dead."

"Castiel vs. Dead Zona!"

A vibrant laughter escaped Castiel's lips, filling the air with contagious energy. His laughter was like a cheerful melody, contrasting with the seriousness prevailing in the environment.

While Castiel laughed, Zona remained still, his eyes fixed on Castiel, not revealing the slightest hint of his own expression. The difference between the two states of mind created an intriguing tension, a contrast that hinted at an interesting dynamic between the two characters.
