When he awoke he was all alone.
Darkness cradled him as he blinked the dust from his eyes. He'd been gone a long time. He could move his limbs but floated uselessly in space. He supposed this was the punishment he deserved.
He thought of the destruction that stained his hands with blood. He'd felt righteous, justified and now empty.
Three tears trickled down his cheek, each floating in space, and then slowly they took form. Before his eyes, three little girls, no bigger than sewing pins, were born.
The first had long red hair and smouldering eyes. She smiled slightly but it came across as more of a scowl. Her skin glowed a crimson red.
The second was born with dark purple hair and watery eyes. She looked around herself in wonder. Unlike her sister, she was pale violet.
Finally the third, tinier than the others, her hair was golden. She was filled with nothing but innocence. Her skin sparkled with yellow.
He named them Rara, Kinntho, and Lage.
Rara grew fastest, reaching his height quickly. In contrast, Lage barely grew at all. Kinntho grew some but stopped when she reached her sister's shoulders.
He embraced them as his three daughters, born of his guilt. He hoped they were a sign the universe would forgive him.
When they were old enough it was time to fulfill destiny.
"You must go and rebuild the world," He told them.
"We will not fail you father!" Rara said.
"Easy young one," He soothed, "In time."
The four floated through space for what must have been centuries before they found what they sought.
A planet, wounded and marked.
"There my daughters," He pointed to the tiny-looking planet, "Home."
And with that, he sent the three to restore the planet, a planet once known as Earth.
