Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Shining Trapezohedron

Earth shattered, fire erupted, storms brewed and I unleashed all these forces upon the man. I blasted him with the power of sound, flicked my fingers to pierce him with a multitude of lances, unconsciously summoned a portal through which a barrage of tentacles rushed out and towards the man; 'What was that?!' I freaked out, thinking that it was a third party without even realising that it was myself that created the monstrosity.

Raphael: 'He is gone, boy. It was as if he was never there…'

Amidst all the otherworldly dust, a purple gleam struck my eyes. "No way the crystal withstood all of that—" I cleared the dust in the air with a gentle breeze. The trapezohedron called out to me. I, attracted to its strange allure, looked into the crystal as if I were staring into a sage's crystal ball. It was as if I were looking through a Kaleidoscope.

I see an infinite number of lands throughout an infinite number of galaxies in an infinite number of universes. I was entrapped in a sort of spell. My consciousness transcends space and time itself and is trapped in an eternity for an instant.

After being left alone for an infinite amount of time, in a timeless dimension, I had the opportunity to mend my fragmented mind, develop my own philosophies after great contemplation about these higher beings of wonder that I have encountered, and gain an increased grasp on my powers.

An infinite amount of time had passed no matter how insurmountable or how miniscule the amount of time had felt for me. I'd wished for death countless times; But my powers did not allow for that. Much like a parasite, it didn't want the death of its host, solely for its own survival. I dug deeper and deeper to find the solution to bring an end to this suffering. And the power to do so was all in the palm of my hands to begin with… Although this was a terrifying and agonising experience, it was vital to deepen my understanding of things in this dimension.

Through my own interference, I reach, through the never-ending and ever-expanding chasm of the universe, a place so brightly illuminated by… something; I couldn't be sure. It was so bright that I couldn't even be sure if it was what I thought it was. It was as if it was trying to keep something from entering; or perhaps, something escaping it.

"Ah– stop! What is… that? It's undimensioned…? I can't see it, but I can just vaguely sense it. Whatever it is."

Knowledge was abundant and I didn't wish for any interference into any realm of arcane knowledge, utterly beyond myself; even after such Herculean mutation. I feared the light and whatever spawn that emitted it, and what may or may not be inside it.

And there it appeared, inside my head: a buzzing voice along with a conglomeration of glowing orbs, each representing a different facet or aspect of its existence. By it, I mean 'Yog-Sothoth'. I recoiled at the sight of it. Had I not been accustomed to the sights of cosmic horror, I might as well have fallen to madness. Instead, I was greeted by a state of overwhelming calmness.

The voice spoke in countless tongues of languages at a time. The two of which being:

Buzzing voice: 'Leave'

  'N'rrggoth'

Lucifer: 'Lad? What're you spacing out for?'

My mind was cleansed.

"I… I'm back? I'm back-! Hooh, I'm back…"

Raphael: 'What is it, boy?'

"I was uhh… the crystal; It sucked me in and showed me— some things. It was wild, dude. I was there forever, quite literally." I said as I moved the crystal away from my sight. I created fabric from thin air. Meaning, I created matter and transmuted it, time and time over. A godly feat, breaking the known laws of the overworld, yet again. I wrapped the crystal in the fabric and stored it away, to the depths of the abyss. Just kidding, I stored it in an entirely different realm, created by yours truly. And yes, I can in fact, do that; create entire realms—accessible by only me.

Lucifer: 'Uhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just… make— that cloth?'

"Yeah. I learned a few tricks when I was trapped in— the other dimension. I dunno what I can call it."

Lucifer: 'Bollocks, lad. Respectfully, bollocks-! You created that— from thin air. That's utterly impossible, man-!' Lucifer's Scottish accent thickens.

"You're really saying that after experiencing all this mystical bullshittery, huh? Matter of fact, you literally had Magic and Magick—I still don't know the difference—in your world. I'm convinced that nothing is impossible here; quite literally. Take a look- " I put forth my hand.

Chirp-chirp

As I open my palm, a multitude of sparrow-like birds rush out and up with an intense flutter of their tiny wings. As they hovered about, overhead of me, I recalled them into my hand.

Lucifer: 'You gave birth, lad! HAHAHAHAHAHAH-!'

"Dude—shut up." I said with a slight laugh.

Raphael: 'This is incredible, boy. You not only created a material body, but also breathed life into it. How could this be…? Maybe…'

"Maybe I could create bodies for you guys?" I predicted what Raphael was about to say.

Lucifer: 'Yes-! Exactly that, lad! Go on then-'

"Before that" I butt in,"Let me just share what I've figured out about my extent of abilities. It is through the small Pineal Gland in the brain of humans which when stimulated, allows me to enter a higher state of being and gain god-like power. This is a power that I discovered that I had when I was in the timeless dimension; it's not the same as the power that I use to create supernatural phenomena. I guess, you can utilise this power if you're creative enough.

With this power, I can create a realm that is infinite in size just by thinking about it. Create life, create and transmute matter, and could, very well, travel faster than light with this power.

I don't know if that means I can time travel, but I can see into the future."

Lucifer: 'Can't say that I still feel superior to you now, can I? Hahahah. Oh, boy-'

"You don't say. Y'know, I hate feeling like I'm weaker than a fellow human. Indiscriminate of any feature. So, I'm glad that I can prove to be the strongest one to ever exist—probably."

Raphael: 'What of the crystal? Its aura is the face of evil…! You'd best dispose of it hastily before the corruption seeps through.'

"The crystal is indestructible. It's made up of a material not from any of the known and accessible worlds. Although, its powers can be restricted by intense light—I think…" I didn't know the material's origin. Even though I visited almost every single planet in an infinite amount of universes.

"Also," I continue, "there are humans out there… Yes, their biochemistry may differ from ours ever so slightly, but they were still human on the outside. They had their own traditions, culture, heritage, history, technology, and whatnot.

And, no, it wasn't another dimension, or a parallel timeline— it was…just another planet. Hundreds of thousands of lightyears away—only."

Lucifer: 'That's mind-boggling. There's humans… on another land in the cosmos? What God might they worship?'

Our friend, Lucifer here, seemed to be quite the religious fellow. And, ironically, Raphael was quite the non-believer.

"Uhh, also, Magic is just really advanced Maths—apparently. I was crying about why this was the case for at least what seemed to be a month, in there. Can't say that I'm happy about it, but it is what it is." I said. "Still dunno what the hell Magick is-"

Lucifer: 'Enough of that-! What of our bodies?'

"Hmm, yeah, sure, I can make material bodies of carbon composition for you guys, but the main issue of this proposition is— transferring your consciousness seamlessly from my mind, to the body so that it doesn't disrupt either my memories and integrity of mental fortitude, or you guys. I can't just— do this; like imagining something and it materialising, like it normally does."

As Lucifer grumbled, I said: "First— let's get outta here."

Lucifer: 'Enlighten me— how so?'

"Like… this-!" I swung my right hand towards my left shoulder, creating a tear in space-time. This tear would create a shortcut or bridge between two distant points in space-time; like a wormhole.

Lucifer: 'By the haggis and thistles, that's a load of blarney, lad-! I really can't be surprised now, can I? So, go on— explain what exactly this is.'

"Hahahahah! This— is a wormhole."

Lucifer: 'A what now…? The arse of Oilliphéist? Your terminology continues to amaze me, lad-! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!'

"You'll understand when you experience it. Let's first go to Salem before returning to my Earth."
