Elvira's stomach clenched. She carefully took a step back. Her legs were wobbly with fear. The fight with Everard was ugly enough, and if the reptile man hadn't saved her, she would be behind bars by now. Quinn's eyes were ablaze with anger and revenge. Witches were her biggest enemies. What would she do now that one was standing right before her?
"You think you're so smart that you could keep fooling us for life?" Quinn's hands balled into fists.
"I can explain!" said Elvira, walking backward. "I am a fairy!" She was ready to say anything to avoid fighting a skilled warrior like her.
Quinn smirked and shook her head. "You think I didn't sense your energy the moment you teleported out of that cage? Your magic reeked of filthy witch blood!"
"I am not your enemy, Quinn! You don't understand," said Elvira.
