The fire crackled in the small stone hearth. Wivior's arm was around her waist. He was fast asleep on the soft and cozy mattress he had made. It was big enough to fit both of them. His bare thigh was resting on her lower half, and there was nothing but a single silk sheet covering their naked bodies. They had made love once again after his return.
Elvira's eyes were wide open. Although it was late, sleep just wouldn't come to her. Not when she needed to wait for Wivior to fall asleep so that she could meet Sebastian in the forest.
The reptile man was inside the town close to them, and Wivior, a wizard, had no clue. Whatever he was, he was powerful and knowledgeable. Maybe he was her path to Wivior, after all.
She turned to face Wivior. His eyes were closed shut, and he was already in a good place. Her fingers caressed his face, and her lips touched his forehead. His body didn't twitch at all. That was her chance to head out and meet Sebastian in the forest.
