In the Italian restaurant.
The chili mussels were so spicy that Kristin could not even close her mouth. She raised her glass and had a toast with Paul.
"Well done my friend. I'm more than happy that you achieve your dream."
"I shall treat you to a meal more often." Paul poured her some wine as he looked at the girl's bright, cheerful eyes.
"Sure!"
"What is the man you got married to like?"
Kristin replied almost immediately. "He is nice guy."
'Cold, domineering, illogical, arrogant' She smirked in her head.
After their meal, Paul and Kristin walked out of the restaurant. They were in an affluent business district.
"I've got to go back to the hospital."
"What a shame. Does someone have to do double shifts this weekend?" Kristin teased.
Paul pinched her nose in retaliation and said, "someone is really good at teasing?"
"Dr. Sander, you hurt me." Kristin pouted.
Jenson was walking out of a Japanese restaurant from the shopping mall across from the pair. He was greeted with such a scene when he raised his eyes.
"President Sawyer, it was nice talking business with you. I will increase the work progress when I get back." Jenson's business partner said while reaching his hand out for a shake.
Jenson recollected himself and shook his hand briefly, "I look forward to our partnership."
"I've got another thing to get to. If everything is settled, I'll take my leave first."
"Please."
Jenson watched as the man left. When he turned back to the pair, the man was gone. Kristin stood by herself.
Why is he here?!
Before kristin could react, Jenson was already walking to her with his imposing aura.
Kristin forced a smile as she thought about last night's situation, "Hi, Jenson. What a coincidence! I didn't expect to see you here."
"Aren't you impressive? You even have the time to date."
"What date? Paul is my friend! Does it matter to you if I have lunch with my friends? I don't think that's in the contract."
"Friend? I didn't realize you were so open that you'd let a male friend pinch your nose." Jenson raised his voice slightly.
"What do you mean?" Kristin sighed.
"Kristin, stay away from that guy."
Kristin stuffed her fingers into her ears.
Jenson pulled her hands away and said, "Did you hear me?"
"Why?" She asked with bright eyes.
"He doesn't have good intentions. Don't get close to other guys in public. You're only going to bring me more trouble!" Jenson said as he averted his eyes sheepishly.
"I knew Paul before I even met you. President Sawyer, don't you think asking me not to meet my friend is too much?"
"Friend? Kristin you're being too naïve." Jenson tossed her hand away.
"You're so weird, Jenson Sawyer!" Kristin mumbled.
"Follow me!"
Jenson had long legs and walked fast. Keistin could only quicken her steps into a light job as he pulled her along.
"Jenson! Jenson! Why do I have to follow you home? It's the weekend!" She shouted at him as she covered her face.
Jenson's Porsche was parked in front of the shopping mall. He opened the door, tossed her in, then quickly got into the driver's seat and put his seatbelt on.
"Sit tight." Jenson navigated his way through traffic at high speed.
"What did you have with that doctor?"
Kristin was stumped for a moment before replying, "Nothing!"
Jenson clenched his teeth together but did not reply to her.
"Can you please slow down? I am about to throw up." Kristin sighed.
Jenson soightly released his foot off the accelerator.
------
The moment Kristin and Jenson already walked out of the car, Kristin widened her eyes to see one guard approach them and get Jenson's keys, making her turn her head to look at the man beside him.
"Don't tell me that this mall is actually your family's?" she asked.
"I only go grocery shopping here. I don't like the attention of many people," he said, already talking to the employee who is in charge of elevator.
He then held her hand, his fingers locked with hers, making the young lady's heart beat erratically in her chest.
Jenson cocked his head to the side, furrowing his brows in wonder as Kristin was in a daze.
"Are you alright?"
"Wait!" Kristin rummaged in her bag before grabbing a piece of paper. She quickly scanned through it.
