Chapter 18 - Flirting.

"What?"

"I'm looking at your dietary requirements; what you like and do not like to eat!" Jenson had given her that piece of paper, and she had carried it with her. Jenson and Kristin shopped for a month's worth of supplies. As they went around the grocery, employees noticed him immediately, making them want to help the two but Jenson kept declining, saying that they can do it.

"Alright, let's go pay." She forced a smile.

Jenson had been watching her, "Why aren't you getting any?"

Kristin sighed and said impatiently, "It's too expensive. I'll get it when I strike the lottery!"

She had shopped here before. Back then, she was too stressed from work and wanted to get a tub of ice cream to comfort herself, but it was too expensive, so she had never gotten it. She needed to look after herself and her mother; she couldn't buy things impulsively.

Jenson frowned and then opened the freezer door. He took out the tub of ice cream she had been looking at.

It cost two hundred and eighty.

He paused for a moment and then put five tubs into the cart.

Kristin jumped and tried to stop him, "No need. I can get from other supermarkets....."

Jenson looked at the hand holding her wrist. Her hand was so small she couldn't even wrap around his wrist fully.

The moment they were in cashier, the cashier greeted politely.

"President Sawyer, I must say that your smile with the young miss is indeed something I haven't seen for quite some time," she commented, Jenson, only nodding at her without even bothering to say a word.

"She's so beautiful and innocent~! Now, I could see why you're so smitten with her compared to your previous lady, President Sawyer!" one cashier added.

With that statement given, the cashier before them, felt the murderous aura come from Jenson.

With Kristin also noticing this, she watched Jenson from the corner of her eye, Jenson's lips already in a tight line as his fists at the side balled into tight fists.

"Do you want to keep your job by chattering? Or do you want me to end your misery by firing you from your job right here and then?"

I'm so sorry, President Sawyer! I—"

"Enough." Jenson interrupted, his voice snappy. "From now on, you—"

"Darling…"

"Don't ruin our night. Be compassionate. They did say they're sorry—and hearing what they said made me realize how much I make you happy. Are they wrong that's why you're angry? Hmm?"

She gave him a smile as she looked at Jenson straight in the eyes, standing up for the cashier as well by doing her best to calm down Jenson.

Without Jenson saying a word, she shamelessly got Jenson's wallet from his pocket and gave the cashier his card, asking a favor from the bagger as well.

"Thank you." Kristin waved her hand, giving her a smile as she grabbed Jenson by the arm after getting his card from her.

As she left their groceries in the care of the bagger, kristin sighed then released Jenson, now turning her body to look at him.

"Are you alright?" she asked, furrowing her brows. "You almost lost your cool there," she added, Jenson, still blinking his eyes at Kristin.

Kristin held his hand, "Don't comment like that. Don't you know you were scaring your employee? Look at how she was shaking. She obviously didn't want to lose her job!"

Jenson felt funny at the sudden itch on his palm. He pretended to be solemn at Kristin's words. "Are you giving me advice?"

"No. Don't be so petty." Surprisingly, she tiptoed and pulled his arm down, making him bend as she put a kiss on his cheek.

Jenson immediately stretched his hand and pulled her closer. He wrapped his arms across her body, lowered his head and let out a smirk.

"Are you flirting with me?"

"No...Grandma butler is watching us." She whispered before she pushed him slightly.

When they returned to Blues villa, she jumped when she realised how many groceries they had bought.

Kristin was quick on her feet. She started to busy herself the moment she entered the house while Jenson sent some emails from the couch in the living room. He would occasionally glance toward the kitchen.

A delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen shortly after, and Kristin came out with some dishes.

"Time to eat," she called out.
