"Kitty?!"
Sebastian was shocked when she heard what Scarlet said. Addressing the Male with a Nickname that she had given him. She said that she didn't do names and this One seemed personal for some reason. Sebastian snapped back to reality when Scarlet started to walk through the door.
Knowing that she would be upset if he tried to stop her all that Sebastian could do was follow her. It should have surprised him that she found her way to the entrance by only walking it once, but it didn't. When they made it around the last turn and could see the entrance there were about Five or Six Males at opening.
Scarlet could hear Travis saying "How much longer until I can see her?! She should be here by now! What did you do with her?! I know she's here!"
She walked past the Males at the entrance saying, "I would love to know how you keep finding me, by the way."
Travis' eyes snaped right to her and all the Rage and Panic was completely Wiped from his face in an instant. He looked her over even though he knew that she would be fine. Just relieved that he could finally see her he said, "Out of a Village and into a Nest."
Scarlet couldn't help herself, she laughed so hard that she had to hold her stomach. The Tarantulas were all looking at each other confused. Travis just stood there listening to her laugh again, and just relishing it.
Sebastian was not stupid. This Male was something to her with how they interacted. If he could get him in maybe she would stay.
Travis walked up to her and said, "I don't really know, but I didn't like you being in there. Are you really, okay?" He wanted to grab her and give her a thorough check, but he restrained himself.
Scarlet collected herself and said "I'm just fine, there was some curiosity that's all. Good thing too. There was a really bad thing here, but it's gone now."
Sebastian took this time to come up and say, "Since you know our guest, how about you stay here tonight?"
Both Scarlet and Travis were taken back by his offer, not really knowing how to react to that. Even the Tarantulas were questioning what their Doctor had just said. They were about to say something when their Nest Leader came up saying "Yes, please stay. You may bring our guest some Peace of Mind while staying here. Please come in and we can show you to your room we prepared for you for the night." Holding his arm out and gesturing into the Nest with his arm. The Nest Leader said, "If you please this way."
Travis was not going to move until he saw Scarlet move. He followed close behind her not caring about the angry stares that he got from the Tarantulas around him. They followed the Nest Leader into the Nest and down some corridors and to a room. When they were shown to the room and checked it out, Scarlet made her arrangements with protection in the room. She and Travis headed back to the Doctors room. When they arrived, Sebastian was excited to see her again. He wanted to show her some more of his instruments that he made to try to keep her interested in staying.
Even though Sebastian was upset that Travis was in the room with them he said with a smile "Would you like to see some of the other instruments that I made?"
Scarlet was excited when she heard that and said "Yes, that would be cool I also have somethings that could help you as well."
As Sebastian showed her his inventions Scarlet gave him her opinions on some things and offered to make some adjustments. He was happy to have any help that she would offer because he thought that he had an in her with his medical knowledge.
As they were going over their instruments there was a loud noise in the tunnel and then the room was filled with the sounds of panic and the smell of blood. There were an accident and some people got hurt. As they were rushed in, Doctor Sebastian jumped into action barking orders and doing a good job at triage, but what made me mad was that he pushes away a patient that could be saved with the right treatment.
Scarlet looked at him and said, "Can I treat him?"
He was shocked at the offer and said, "Yes, anything that you can do to help would be appreciated."
Scarlet got her things from her stash, and the others were surprised that it just appeared, but didn't say anything. As she started cleaning and observing what needed to be done a Female came in and started to yell at the Male. Calling him useless and telling him that if he didn't get better soon then she would abandon him.
Scarlet got angry at her and said, "The only people that need to be in here are the wounded and the people helping everyone else needs to leave." Following this Doctor Sebastian said, "Everyone out Now!" The Female was not happy as she was ushered out of the room. The only ones that stayed were the wounded, the Two doctors, and Travis who held the Fuzzball. When they tried to remove him, Scarlet said, "I need him here." and that was that.
When the Female seen that a Tiger and Random Female got to stay, she started to make her unhappiness be known to everyone out there. It annoyed the heck out of Scarlet, but she had to deal with it. It was a good case in front of her. A Deep Chest Laceration and Splintered Femur, if not treated properly he really would be useless, or die soon.
After cleaning the wounds and making sure none of the organs were affected, she started to quickly close the wound and move on to the leg. He was not awake now, so she was able to save her pain killers this time. When she got to the leg, she had to have Travis hold him so that she could pull it at the correct angle, as Scarlet was doing this Doctor Sebastian was watching her with fascination. Before this, they would just leave the Males to die because there wasn't anything they could do, but watching her work, he felt like he could have saved so many Males if he would have just tried what she did.
Scarlet put the bone back in thoroughly rinsed and it off to keep infection out. She wrapped the bone in a wet cloth and closed the wound up with what looked like Web. After that she placed strips of stiff wood on either side of the leg and bottom and top of the foot then proceeded to wrap it up. It all looked so simply. Everything that she did start to make him question if he was even qualified to be called a Doctor.
As he seen her coming over, she said "So what do we got here?" Doctor Sebastian was lost for a moment and just stared at her. After not responding for a minute, she snapped her fingers in his face and said, "Hey, Web Head what's going on here?"
This got his attention and he said, "He has deep cuts on the Thorax and a head wound." After Scarlet had a look at him, she said "You missed the two broken ribs and the hole in his lung." She showed him what she was talking about, and he understood as she explained. She also showed him how to treat those wounds and what she used as she went along. Doctor Sebastian was so shocked at her medical knowledge and skills that he felt that everything that he had known was nothing compared to her.
Travis just stayed off to the side just waiting to be asked to do something and just observing the Two bonding over the treating the Males. Not happy about His Female having such close interactions with other Males. Especially if it was another Doctor. They would have more in common that way and he would have a bigger chance than him to get her.
After they finished up with the last of the patients the Noisy Female was allowed back in and as she came in Scarlet was leaving. She didn't want to be anywhere near that Noisy Female any longer than she needed to be. Making their way back to the room that she was given, both Travis and Scarlet remained quiet and tried not to let the stares bother them. It was noticeable that the tension broke as soon as they walked into the room and closed the door.
Scarlet had brought some things for food to the room and Travis started to gather wood to make a fire to cook when there was a Knock on the door. Travis answered and the Nest Leader was a Little taken back that the door was answered by a Travis. He quickly recovered and said, "I was wondering if you would like to join us for dinner since it is late, and you helped us so much with our wounded."
Scarlet said from behind Travis "It was fun to treat a group like that and I have our food covered. Thank you, but we will be eating in tonight and leaving in the morning."
With that Travis said, "Is there anything else?"
The Nest Leader didn't know what to say when he heard her and couldn't think of anything else to say. He had no choice but to leave. He didn't want Scarlet to leave, since she had knowledge that they needed. Plus, the Nest could always use another Female.
Walking away in disappointment he went back to Doctor Sebastian's room and wanted to talk to him about how to keep Scarlet around. As he went to knock on the door Doctor Sebastian came out with a big piece of hide in his hands. Being a little startled he said, "Nest Leader Oliver what do you need of me?" Nest Leader Oliver said "We need to keep this Little Female at all costs, but she is too strong to snatch away. You have the most in common with her even with that Black Tiger around. If you got in her good graces with her, you may get her to stay."
Doctor Sabastian had already thought of this and said "I have already prepared to give her a gift as a thank you for helping treat the Wounded. I am giving her the cloths that I made for my would-be Mate."
Nest Leader Oliver was shocked by this and said "You know that those cloths were for Your Female, and you want to give them to her? Do you think that she will except them knowing what they were for?"
Doctor Sebastian just looked at him saying "It doesn't matter who they were for, and it won't matter if she doesn't know, the Black Tiger will tell her as soon as he sees them. I just want her to have them and feel that they will look beautiful on her. Now that I have met her, I will never want another Female in this lifetime."
