Giving an eerily Haunting Laugh she watched as Jose took her last agonizing breath and turned to walk away with Travis and her Pup in tow. Travis couldn't believe what he had just learned and started to ask questions as he handed the Little Fuzzball back to her. "Can you really help us learn how to take care of the Females and try to keep that from happening again? I have seen animals eaten alive that haven't suffered as much."
This made her laugh so hard that she had to stop and hold her stomach. Thinking that this was One hell of a way to describe it, she said "Infection can be controlled to a certain point. But there are much more out there that can kill and has no known cure. Yet anyway."
She didn't go into any more detail but continued to walk off. Leaving Jose's Ten Males stuck where they were and yelling at her to let them go.
Travis looked at her and said "Since they had real Killing Intent towards you. Is this how you deal with it? What was that shinning thing that wrapped around them?"
When he didn't get an answer, he didn't press and continued to walk back to Leader Edgars house. When they got back Leader Edgar was waiting for them with an anxious look on his face. He ran up and said "Did you Kill that Female? There were others that said that you had Tortured her to Death."
Scarlet just looked at Leader Edgar and said "I didn't touch her. She died of infection when I cut her off from her Males. Turns out that's the answer that has been bugging me for the longest time. I couldn't figure out how these Females were still alive with all the infection in general, but it turns out that they are being kept alive by their Males. The Connection Symbol is helping them to a certain extent to stay alive, but they are still having the effects when it comes to things like Abscess's and Loss of Children. All I did was cut the connection and that caused the Female to feel the effects that were being held back by the Ten Males that she had."
This was not what Leader Edgar was expecting to hear but excepted none the less believing Scarlet. After a moment he said, "I don't know if the food that was prepared is still good, but would you still like to eat?"
Scarlet looked at Leader Edgar and said "I'm sure that the food is still fine after being heated back up a bit, but I should go. Too much Negative Energy towards me after all of this to make me want to stay." Then turned to leave.
Leader Edgar rushed forward saying "Please don't go No One will harm you I give you, my word. I swear that on my position as Leader."
Looking at him Scarlet said "Leader someone was able to come into your home and into your Private Doctors work area and almost poisoned my Pup. Now tell me this, would you stay where you almost lost everything? Besides You came after me because of a Female's word, and Everyone here is going to do the same thing. I have seen it before, and I have this scar to prove it." She lifted her neck and showed the scar from a rope that was around her neck.
As she turned around to leave, she was grabbed unexpectedly and pulled into a chest. Then she started to feel a hot liquid on her shoulder.
Turning her head, the best that she could she seen that it was Travis. Again, he was crying. Scarlet found herself unable to find the will to break free of his grasp said "What? It's just something that happened, and I avoid things that would put me in that situation again. It's not that I wouldn't be able to handle myself, but I hate Unnecessary Death."
Not knowing what to do but feeling awkward about being held in public of all places. Scarlet said "Kitty, I need to go its late in the day and I still need to get out of this village. Could you please let go now?"
Not the right thing to say he held her tighter and started to beg her to stay One more night so that she could start fresh in the morning. He would test all the food and make sure that No One came near her or her Pup.
Still being stuck with not knowing what to do she found herself taking a deep breath and saying upon the sigh "Fine just let go and get up. This is not going to become a habit got that Kitty." Travis just kept thanking her again and again as they made their way up to the room that they shared last night. They sat there in an awkward silence as Scarlet started to make food for them and her Pup. She didn't say anything throughout the whole process. Even through the meal neither said anything. After the meal they cleaned up and she went to lay in her Hammock with her Pup.
Travis didn't want to make things any worse and left things as they were while lying on the bed just trying to enjoy her company. "She will get away from him if he tries to follow her again like last time. It was just luck that he found her this time and he may never see her again after today. This tore his Heart apart and before he knew it, he was crying again in silence. He didn't want to leave her and wanted to make her feel safe. To make her happy. She would never allow that though. She has been through more than anyone should have in their life. Compared to hers mine was easy, I was just hated and not a lot of people tried to kill me. It hurts that I can't give this Little Female anything to help her feel safe." These thoughts just kept running through his head over and over.
After all that she told him about what happened with the last person that she trusted and showed him the scar near her heart, and now the one at her neck from the last group of people. He had to know what happened to her to have lived such a life. So, he asked her.
He didn't get an answer for a long time and didn't think that she was ever going to answer when she finally said "A Female that held a High-Power Statas herd something that could never be true in the real world and came to my family to get it done. What she described was just a made-up story. She didn't except this answer and said that my family with all its years of medical knowledge was just 'unwilling to help her in her time of need'."
Scarlet took a few breaths to calm herself down before finishing "She gathered everyone under her control and sent them to kill my Entire Family. I only made it because I was sent into the woods for training and made it back home 3 days after it happened. When I found out it was her and that she stole all the medical journals from all 500 years I went there snuck in and burned it all to the ground. Thus, showing that I was alive, and she hunted me for years. Put word out that she was looking for me had a reward for my death. For Ten years I was on the run learning what I could, when I could. Always moving always doing something stupid like trusting the wrong people and now I don't trust anyone."
After finally getting the answer, he asked out of curiosity "What did she want?"
Scarlet answer shocked Travis "She wanted us to bring someone back that was dead for Three years."
This was an answer that he could never have expected. With everything that she told him no matter what it was he was always able to accept it, but this was too much. Her whole family killed because a Female wanted a Three- year- old dead person back to life. Before he knew what he was doing he stripped off the cloth that he she gave him, changed into his Animal Form, and walked over to her Hammock touching her arm with the with his nose then laid down next to her.
Neither one of them expected Scarlet to reach over to him and rub his head. Then, another surprise, she started to sing. It sounded so sad, but with her voice it was still beautiful. They stayed like that into the night and was about halfway through a song she fell asleep with her hand still on his head.
When Scarlet woke up the next morning she felt like crap. She had never talked to anyone about what happened that day all those years ago and for some reason she answered Kitty's question. She found herself telling him the whole story.
When Travis felt her remove her hand, he realized that she was up. He looked up and seen that she didn't look good and gave her a little nudge with his nose as to ask if she was going to be okay. She said "Let's get the Little Fuzzball fed." As she got up and out from the Hammock. They prepared breakfast together and Travis couldn't help but feel like it would be the last time and tried to take his time with the tasks. They both seemed to be doing that and as they ate a little slower and cleaned a little slower. After the food was made, eaten, and cleaned up there was no reason to stay in the village. It was time to go, and they both knew it.
Scarlet was about to leave when they heard a knock on the door. Travis answered the door, and it was the Village Leader Edgar with Young Chef Josh around the corner. Leader Edgar said "Please tell me that you changed your mind and you decided to stay? We are the leaders of our people and we have talked with everyone, and they are all under our command. If you or anything yours is touched, they are automatically punished to the highest extent. Nothing will happen to you or your Pup."
Scarlet looked him dead in the eye and said "YOU said that I would be fine when I came here, and your people were the ones that attempted an assassination of my Pup. So, NO I will not be staying here I would have been gone yesterday but Kitty asked me to stay here and that is the only reason. Also, no to the Dragons because their leader pissed me off too much. With that she closed the door and said her goodbyes to Kitty and walked to the wall. From there she used her Energy to enter the wall and travel through the Earth itself.
Scarlet made it far enough from Green Rock Mountain Village for her to feel comfortable to come out of the Earth. Since she was close to where she left the Dragon Nick, so she snuck over to check on him.
When Scarlet got to him there was no one insight this was good and bad. Mainly Good for her to move as she pleased, but Bad for the fact that no one cared to stay behind with their Teammate.
Scarlet couldn't put her finger on it, but he seemed to be bigger than before. Good thing was that he was still Breathing and seemed to be almost done with his awakening. About another day or so and he would be good to go.
