Chereads / The CEO's Redemption / Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

The splendor of the lightsome morning, the snug aurous sun rays that tenderly embraced her curves, which the silky long blouse had shaped, showed her dazzling gracefulness.

Two weeks after she saw Ronald, he did not even appear on his balcony. She checked her phone ninety-nine times.

"It's so strange that Mr. Rafael did not call or text me; I'm wondering if he is okay."

Erika said worriedly that for the previous days she was busy with the company work, she had to learn as quickly as possible to be a professional worker.

"Morning, Miss Erika, Can I have you for a moment?"

Redima said she admired Erika's charm style in picking her outfit. The both of them sat on the sofa, with a well-rounded glassy table placed in front of it.

"You need to complete some information; as you mention here, you're a married woman."

Redima stated that to back her quiff behind her ear, Erika gazed at the laptop screen that Redima held.

"Is it that necessary?"

Erika whispered, rolling her eyes; she did not know if she had told her. She was silent for five minutes when she said her husband's name in a very low voice, which Redima hardly heard.

"Rafael who?"

Redima asked. She was confused by Erika's strange act. That glow on her eyes just after hearing his name made Redima curious about this man because it was rare to see Erika interested in a man.

"It would be worth it to be married, as many ladies her age lack the ability to find a real serious man."

Redima thought, and her cough woke Erika from her daydreams.

"Rafael Diox; his name is Rafael Diox."

Erika uttered the words, and she tardily looked at Redima, who was in shock to hear Rafael's name. She was in adolescence for two minutes.

"Rafael Diox is your husband."

Redima whispered, she got out of her comfortable zone, sweated, and turned to have a random look in the office.

Her eyes turned red, and she breathed heavily, with a thin smile that showed her unbearable distress.

"Is there a problem? You don't look good."

Erika said while moving to her. Redima stood up with a fake glad smile and nodded her head.

"I'm good, Madam Diox."

Redima answered. Erika's cheeks reddened as she heard her response. No one ever called her by her husband's name and accepted him.

Her heart was racing the moment that flashed how charming he was. She controlled herself and asked for the details of the day deal.

Redima was responsible for preparing today's meeting, as she was the CEO's right arm. Redima did answer her and left the official without a word.

"According to Redima's reaction, I can say that she knew him personally; all the rumors about his strange taste in ladies got me thick."

Erika stated while looking down at the car park that she noticed his car from afar, which seemed to be heading towards her company.

Erika was on her top cloud to see him still chasing after her, but as the dark thoughts began to take over her mind, she hurried to stop him before causing her such problems that she wasn't in need of them.

"What is he going to do? Why is he here?"

She asked. Everyone was staring at her in a surprise way. She placed herself before him to take a breath. She pointed at him. Wait for her. She looked at him with one open eye. He was in his full uniform, and his perfume was stronger than usual.

Rafael did not even eye her; she felt broken to be ignored.

"What is with him? Isn't he the same man who was eager to get my attention?"

She thought, and she followed his fast steps. Mr. Yanni welcomed him in the spatial meeting room.

Erika waited outside, for she had not had permission to get in, to see Redima with her CEO entering by the other door.

"What's going on?"

She asked the employee who was in a hurry to join the meeting.

"This is a tender for some company shares."

He said while closing the door behind him, that was her first time to see the angry expression on Rafael's calm face.

A message from her CEO informed her to bring some papers from his desk. She went as fast as she could.

"No, no, no, he is not going to take this company."

She said that while holding the files, she knocked to get in; her sights were on Rafael, who was playing with his phone; he did not give a damn about what Redima was saying.

"The paper, sir."

Erika whispered, and Mr. Grand touched her palm, slowly taking the files from her. She swiftly stepped back.

"What the heck is he doing?"

Erika cursed him countlessly, to be harsh, and in front of her husband, who wasn't focusing on his surroundings, was the most pagan feeling.

"Calm down, Erika; let this meeting go well; then you can deal with him."

She said this as she stood behind Mr. Grand. Whose eyes were on her body details? Erika was watching Rafael with a lion gaze which waiting for his prey to fall.

Redima felt awkward as the only one in the meeting focusing on her speech.

"Are you done?"

Rafael finally stated it, but still his eyes were on the phone. Erika sent him a message on his account.

"What's wrong with you, Rafeal? Your problem is with me, so let this company aside."

Erika wrote that he didn't see her massage, but his Kenneth smile arose. Redima leaned next to Rafael, who gazed at her in a manner that showed that they were somehow in touch.

"My Lowyer will take care of this issue."

Rafael said with an evil expression that Mr. Grand did not like Rafael.

"If you're not interested in the deal, why did you invite yourself to come? I thought you would not be here personally, for you are Mr. Diox the Great."

Mr. Grand said.
