"If my acceptance of this position will benefit the company, I don't mind, sir." Erika replied with confidence; she hid her happiness by winning this position.
She left Mr. Grand's office and headed to her new office, which was facing Redima's. She looked at the details of the place and slowly took a long breath.
"Now the fun will start," Erika hissed after she closed the door. She muted her phone. Four hours passed of inspecting the company's previous accounts.
"Sorry, Madam, can I?" A voice from outside was asking for permission to be in; Erika agreed. A tall, long-haired young man was standing before her.
"I'm Jimson, your secretary; I previously worked with the late CFO. I hope I can be of help to you." Jimson said while his sights were on the floor, not like any other man she met.
"Nice to meet you, Jimson. I will inform you if I need anything." Erika stated that she had a quick look at him; his features reminded her of someone she hated the most.
"I'm wondering what that jerk is doing now?" Erika thought, After she had finished checking the reports, she headed to the Mr. Grand office to acknowledge him for her suggestions.
"Erika Milne, Is this you? It's not like I'm here looking for you personally." A lady on her twenty-second required, she had long blonde hair and a cute, rounded face.
"Rosalina Milne, my half sister," Erika uttered, biting her lips. She was a little bit annoyed by her presence. Because every time they met, Rosalina created a big drama, and that brought nothing but headaches to the poor Erika.
"Anyway, I'm not here to argue with you as usual,Rosalina stated. Erika gave a high laugh at her speech; it seemed like a funny joke.
"If you're done laughing, then see you later." Rosalina said while looking at her nails. She stepped back and added, "You are invited to my wedding tomorrow night. Don't be late; I already sent you the invitation, but I wish I could make sure you came."
Erika watched her till she left the company. Rosalina was the youngest daughter of Mr. John and his wife, Narimana.
"I don't mean to insult her, but this bitch is getting married, no way. Who is the idiot who will marry her? I certainly will not miss an event like this, and I will absolutely attend the party with my husband, so as not to leave her room to gloat over me." Erika thought as she changed her direction and went to a restaurant near to the company.
"So you asked for me just to tell me to a company you attend at a wedding party," Refeal stated while smiling.
Erika moved her quiff back, took a sip from her coffee, and then said, "Yes, as I told you, Mr. Rafael."
Rafael leaned closer to her; she did not avoid his gaze, for she should convince him to come with her. He held her hand with a gentle, quiet voice and said, "Your requests are orders, my iron lady."
Erika's shy smile arose, and she took off her hand. Mr. Rafael never stopped looking at her. With such emotions, she found it hard to believe he would not fall for her.
"I think it's the right time to announce our marriage to everyone." He thought he was giving Erika more freedom than he ever imagined to do with anyone else; he was surprised by himself.
"Okay, Mr. Rafael, come and pick me up at eight," Erika stated. He walked her to her car. She refused to ride with him; he did not want to ruin this unique moment, so he let her go on her own.
"You are the fiercest person I have ever met. You are difficult to tame, Erika." He thought that while heading back to the restaurant, he had made sure that Erika had gone.
"Mr. Rafael, your command, sir." A servant in his brown suite stated, Rafael pointed for him to approach.
"Send those presents to Madam Erika," Mr. Rafael said in a calm voice.
"OMG, this was a very tough day; I can't believe I'm home," Erika uttered as she stood watching the stars on her balcony.
"Mr. Rafael isn't as bad as I thought he was," she said while practicing her dance, to be pulled and stuck to his chest. She knew him from his perfume.
"Ronald" She hissed his name in a shock.
"I saw you dancing alone, and I said I might be a great partner for you," Ronald whispered. He made her turn around herself; the quick push and pull moves which never let her find a way to adapt his steps.
"It's rude of you to break into my house again, and in this hour," Erika said as she tried to release herself from him. He lifted her, and the distance between them got too narrow.
"I see you don't mind me dancing with you," Ronald whispered. She got warmer and could doze into his tone, his eyes and his perfume. She turned to the other side.
"Is this your first time dancing?" Ronald said as she stepped on his foot, Erika sat herself on the chair to take a breath. She eyed him in anger. Ronald smiled back to her, and he leaned his back against the wall.
"Haven't you anything to do rather than bother me?" Erika yelled at him. She wanted her first dance to be with Mr. Rafael.
"I haven't danced with any man just to enjoy the moment with Mr. Rafael, and now all my effort has gone to waste because of him," Erika said, cursing Ronald. She crossed her hands and with her right foot tapping on the floor.
"Get the hell out of my apartment," she said in a quiet voice, but her heart was burning. Ronald didn't give her any attention; he headed to the kitchen and put some stuff on the fridge.
She followed him with great anger, thinking she could destroy the whole world. He hit with his hand the wall near her left ear.
"Can you just be quiet for some moments? I'm doing my job, here" Ronald said with a bright glow in his blue eyes that she had never been treated like this before.
