The couple casually watched the twins fight, already used to their daily bickering.
Natalie whispered in her husband's ear, "The next time the rivals meet, they must compete to see which of their baby brothers is the best." She said amusedly. Their rivalry was always fun to watch.
Arsen sighed resignedly, "It looks like Hana will take part this time."
Arion shook his head in resignation at their statement.
Nova came with Arion's milk bottle like before. Only this time, she hesitated to give it to Natalie, who looked at her confusedly as she waited to receive Arion's milk bottle.
"What if I give it to the prince so you can relax for a while, Your Majesty?" She asked hesitantly and worriedly. This morning she had seen the tired look on her queen's face and how pale she was more than usual.
Nova just wanted Natalie to relax for a while and enjoy the cute antics of the twins. Those two things would instantly recharge her energy. It was all she could do to lighten her queen's burden.
Natalie gave her a doubtful look before looking at the baby on her lap, "Won't Arion feel left out?"
She just didn't want her baby to feel alienated. Even though it sounded ridiculous, as there was no way a baby this small could understand such a thing, it didn't ease Natalie's anxiety.
But since Arion understood Nova's good intentions, he immediately stretched his body, 'Please don't worry about me. Just enjoy your free time.'
He did not stop rebelling in his mother's arms, hoping that she would realize his point of view. Arion didn't want to be a bad baby. He just wanted his mother to get some rest.
Natalie balanced her baby's body and patted his back gently. It was a bit of a shock to see Arion who had just rebelled. He had been a quiet baby and hadn't rebelled much.
Nova smiled softly, "I'm sure not, Your Majesty. This will only take a moment. The little prince is a good baby."
She felt that Arion understood her point and helped her. It was a strange thought for her. Arion was not even a week old.
"Besides, the little prince seems to agree with me."
Natalie was silent for a moment, "Okay. I'm counting on you, Auntie." She said in a resigned tone and handed over her baby a little reluctantly.
Arion snorted in satisfaction, 'Finally.'
She knew Nova's good intentions and she also trusted the woman in front of her, whom she already thought of as her own aunt. So Natalie would give in for once.
"Your Majesty." Nova rebuked boldly after receiving Arion. Although her queen had often called her that in public, Nova was not happy.
She felt awkward, especially since Arsen heard the call. Nova, who was embarrassed, immediately bowed politely to her king.
Arsen nodded without objection, somewhat amused by their situation. He had known his wife's habits for a long time and didn't mind. It was good that his wife had people in the palace that she could trust, that she could think of as family.
Arsen was already well acquainted with this doctor and maid couple, and he had no hesitation in trusting them as well. He had known them since his childhood. They were the few people he could trust with all his heart.
Arion looked curiously at the maid in front of him as he began to suck his milk, 'They really are that close. Even the king didn't look surprised and let her call this maid by a familiar nickname.'
Besides, his mother hardly ever let him alone or allowed anyone to hold him except Arsen, the twins, and this maid. Natalie seemed to trust her very much.
Besides, this maid, Nova, had already made a good impression on him. Her eyes and her smile seemed warm and genuine to Arion.
Arsen held his wife's hand to calm her down, "It's okay. It's not like Arion will be taken away. Nova is right behind you."
Natalie smiled softly and returned his hand, "I know."
They both went back to quietly enjoying their tea while watching another bickering scene of the twins. The atmosphere was very peaceful, filled only with the sound of the twins arguing.
Arion sucked his milk uneasily, 'Those two are so loud. What are they arguing about now?'
Even in this quiet atmosphere, the twins still had the opportunity to argue. Should Arion be surprised or not?
Ignoring the rest of the twin's argument, Arsen resumed the conversation with his wife, "Don't they have a second child as well?"
Natalie looked at him in confusion, not understanding who her husband was referring to. When Arsen pointed to Arion, she knew immediately what he meant.
"For us, the third child." Since their first children were twins, so Arion can be said to be the third child.
Arsen frowned deeply, "Are you sure the queens didn't plan it?" He asked doubtfully. Because the birth of the second child of another kingdom was almost close together, with Arion being the youngest among them.
"It's a coincidence!" Natalie's snort was unacceptable. She wasn't the one who decided when she could get pregnant and give birth. It was pure coincidence.
Arsen sighed resignedly, "Sure."
Natalie sulked at her husband's disbelieving tone. She snorted in annoyance and decided to ignore him and enjoy her tea.
Arsen saw his wife's frown and decided to lure her back into the conversation, "I wouldn't be surprised if the queens do plan to have another child. They're not even that far apart in age."
"Same as the first one, right?" She replied subconsciously. She was enjoying her favorite cake, a strawberry cake.
Arsen looked at her with a probing and accusing look, "So you guys really plan to have a second one, huh?"
Natalie groaned in annoyance, "It really wasn't planned! We just..." She stopped speaking, hesitating to continue.
"Just?"
Natalie laughed nervously, "Just a random conversation?" She said unconvinced. She swore it was just their casual conversation. Who knows if it actually came true?
Arsen snorted amusedly, "All right, I believe you."
"Somehow I doubt it." She murmured aloud so that her husband could hear her clearly. Arsen shrugged indifferently.
"After all, one more small step isn't that bad, right?" Natalie asked teasingly. She knew exactly what her husband's answer would be.
Arsen smiled a little, "That's right." He replied confidently, not denying his wife's statement in the slightest.
Arsen always sounded as if he didn't like small children. But maybe it would be different if it was his child. Natalie was sure that even if his own child destroyed his office, he would not be angry. It seemed like he would be happy. Well, he really hated that paperwork.
"Your Majesty." The call made Natalie turn around. She found Arion, who had finished his milk and was ready to be returned to her lap.
"Oh! Thank you, Nova." She said nervously as she received a glare from her aunt, prepared in case her queen called her by nickname again in public.
Natalie kissed Arion's cheek affectionately, "Are you full, dear?" She asked softly. She patted Arion's back to make him burp.
'Very full.' He thought after the burp came out of his mouth. Now his stomach was full and the cool air around him didn't help. It only made him sleepy again.
Arion groaned inwardly, 'Not again, I just woke up. This baby body is annoying.'
Baby bodies mostly felt sleepy, so it was a little frustrating for Arion to spend so much time eating and sleeping when he didn't know much about this world yet.
Natalie pressed her cheek against the top of Arion's head, "Arion's celebration party will definitely be very crowded! You will also have friends of your age!" She exclaimed happily, unable to wait for the day to come. She hoped that nothing bad would happen that day.
Arion stopped his frustration and looked at his mother curiously, 'Same-age friends? You mean other babies?'
He had never really had friends in the past. The word was foreign to him. The only one who was nice to him was his old boss and the chief. His co-workers were also friendly to him. Could they be classified as a kind of friend? He's not sure.
"Arion is the best!" Eric and Hana suddenly shouted and looked seriously at their parents. Not realizing what conversation they were having.
Arsen and Natalie looked at them confused, not understanding why they suddenly said that. They hadn't paid much attention to the topic of the twins' argument, except for the arrival of their friends. After all, since when did they stop fighting?
"What exactly are you guys talking about now?" Natalie asked confused. Next to her, Arsen continued to enjoy his tea and let his wife take over.
"Arion is the best baby brother in the world!" The twins said seriously. Not bothered by their parents' lack of attention.
Arion couldn't think of anything, 'Why?'
There was a moment of silence before a giggle escaped Natalie's lips. She patted Hana's head proudly. So did Arsen, who smiled faintly as he joined in patting Eric's head
"Of course he is!"
In thought, Arion let out a long sigh, 'I don't understand this family.'
