"OK now that we are done with our stuff, I will go pick up Brook. I will bring her here, ok?" I asked.
"Sure."
I quickly left the room and looked for Brook. Found her on the side of a dinning room chatting with Jessica.
I quickly walked over to Brook and spoke to her.
"Hello. Brook, can you come with me for a moment?"
"Can I come too?" Jessica asked.
"I would honestly prefer if you didn't. I was planning to share with Brook something really personal and I don't trust you with it." I answered honestly.
"Sure, Vic I am going." Brook spoke
"Thanks Brook."
As we started to go, I noticed that Brook turned to Jessica and did some taunting towards her to which Jessica didn't react too well. But who cares. It's between those two.
As we arrived in the back where I more or less lived with Karla Brook spoke.
"You should open the window sometimes. I love the smell don't take me wrong, but it may have some side effects on me that would not be very welcome." Brook spoke.
"Yeah yeah, the smell makes you horny. Sorry I didn't want ghouls visiting us." I answered.
Karla chuckled. "Sorry Brook. Maybe I have some air freshener here that should help."
"It's fine, but thanks. What did you wanted to talk about Vic?" Brook turned to me when she spoke.
"I wanted to talk about your part of the loot, firstly did you pick your class?" I asked.
"No, I wanted to ask for your help on that. I have no clue what to pick honestly and I wanted to get the best I could. When we played games, I always picked the weakest class, you know me."
I chuckled. "Fine what do you have there?"
"I have 4 choices. All of them are archers. It's just archer, mounted archer, arcane archer and huntress"
"What color of the border have arcane and huntress."
"Arcane is red and huntress is yellow."
"I would go with Arcane. If you like the description."
"It was actually my favorite. According to what it says I would be able to use both magic and agility and I have points in both since my arrow making skill works on magic and my basic archery on agility."
"Then go for it."
"OK I got it. I got the ability Siege mode. Pretty much pins me to one place and costs 10 mana per second but doubles my damage and penetrative force of my arrows."
"Ok since now you have your class, let's get to the stuff I wanted to talk to you about. Would you mind keeping what I am about to tell to yourself?"
"Sure man, I won't talk about it." Brook answered.
"If you want, I can help you get what you need from the chest you surely got as quest reward and also these three I am about to give you as your share. If you want, I can give you bunch of blue ones but stuff in there is kind of weak and I was planning on donating them to this settlement."
"What do you mean get what I want?"
"I have trait that lets me pick out what I am going to get from the chests. So, if you tell me that you want a bow from red, I will pull for you bow from red."
"That sounds awesome. That's why you didn't wanted me to mess with the red chest I got from quest. You can get me something that will be usable for me."
"Yeap. You want me to do that for you?" I asked.
"Sure, sounds awesome." She pulled out the red chest from her small backpack.
"I would love to get strongest bow I can get, decent medium armor and something that will help me with covering mana for siege mode and arrow making."
"Hmm all the mana costs you have are small but very repetitive?"
"Yes!" Brook answered.
"Then I would suggest using red on this neck." I showed her neck I use.
"This is perfect." Brook nodded.
"Yes, but you will be able to only get yellow bow and armor like this. Do you mind?"
"That is perfectly fine. And would you please put aside for me 3 blue chests? I will come later to let you know what I want from them."
"Sure. You want to kick start Jessica?"
"Yes, I already talked her into it. Would you mind helping?" Brook asked.
"You don't want some for Rockwell twins?"
"They went home to attend funeral day before this happened, and were scheduled to return yesterday evening. But since shit hit the fan, they didn't come. I hope they are fine."
"They live in big mansion aside from everybody else. They should be fine. Ghouls most of the time attack on big groups and loud groups and I am sure mansion in the middle of fucking nowhere won't have so much of either of those."
"I hope you are right. But back to the topic on hand. Will you help me please?"
"Karla, I don't want to answer without your opinion." I turned to Karla and asked." I won't do it without you, and I don't want you to be uncomfortable even a little. So please tell me."
Brook didn't say anything and just turned to Karla waiting for verdict. She understood the situation and was fine with it.
"Whatever, if we don't help her, it is likely that we will have to be running to save her soon enough. This will save us the trouble." Karla chuckled.
Brook giggled and spoke. "Thank you both. I know you would rather have nothing to do with that thot and I get perfectly why. But she is my friend and I want to help her to be able survive in this shithole."
"You speak like you are so much less of a thot." I spoke and chuckled.
"I didn't fuck since this shit happened. I became really interested in somebody. Not like my boyfriend before who was just walking purse with decent dick. Right now, I am really interested in a person. And it's weird. So, I am right now waiting to see how things end up." Brook spoke.
Karla's eyes shined for a second and she spoke. "Tell us more. Who is it?" She really missed gossiping since this shit started and right now, she felt she could get her fix.
"He has a girlfriend that is perfect for him, so I don't want to talk about it too much. To be honest I don't even want them to break up I would just like to join them. But it's kind of complicated to even speak about something like that given the situation." Brook spoke with a sad tone.
"Brook, I am not a Vic. I can see that the person you are interested in is him. But thanks for that comment about perfect GF. So, you want to join in on us?"
I froze and looked at Brook with my jaw dropped. Karla noticed my reaction and spoke to me.
"Don't worry it's not that you are insensitive. I just had a hunch and seeing her reaction I hit the nail on the head."
"You! Ahh whatever. You got me. I surrender. You are good at this!" Brook spoke as she raised hands into the air in sign of surrender.
"Please don't be angry at me!"
