Freya took the swords out of the metal box with a high pitched ''ziiiiing'' and placed them on the floor of the stage. To take down the human pieces, she wore gloves and got a random bag to put them in and get rid of them, making sure to do it discreetly.
After getting the parts out of her way, Freya approached the box again. It was still the same, but without the swords and the unexpected bonuses there. It was even hot inside, but it didn't seem like anything there could move.
Freya remembered there was a hole on the side of the stage that was made because of the fight she had. She got off and stared at the hole. Inside the stage wasn't anything besides the dirt on the ground and the walls that were made out of hard wood. There were five poles sustaining the platform made out of the same material. Nothing was out of the ordinary.
She couldn't comprehend what had happened. There was no way of moving out of the box. There was no way of putting all those things inside the box. Unless...
'No, this can't be that easy. Or could it? Did someone want to test it? maybe they've already known for a long time and they want to cause a little trouble all of a sudden? No, no!' Freya was lost in her thoughts. She barely had to deal with investigating, so this was one of the hardest tasks for her. It was also one of the main reasons for not wanting the mission the Overseer gave her. She liked just doing office work.
Freya couldn't think of any reason for the magician's disappearance except one. The piece of crystal on her belt gave Freya wind powers. The Overseer also told her that the piece she was wearing was part of a very powerful and dangerous precious stone. There were many other pieces out in the world, so they could be anywhere and give humans any power. Freya couldn't know what powers existed besides the one she had, for now. But, the fact that sir Hibiki was nowhere to be found and there were no traces of exits there, lepd to that idea no matter how she looked at it.
She had two choices to conclude the investigation, bur she had to know if those really were true, somehow. One, would be the magician holding the power of a crystal shard and he wanted to show off his power, but he couldn't control the power in that moment and somehow got swapped with those human parts.
Two, would be tied to that unknown guy. One person of the audience had a crystal shard and could use its powers perfectly. He and the magician must have something to do with each other and that guy made the move.
Even if it was one of them, but not everything she said was true, would have been perfect. After all, experience is the key to those kind of situations.
Freya has been searching for two hours now. It was already two in the morning and the police finally arrived. ASA was working with them, so Freya only had to show them that she was working in the ASA to let her help them with the investigation. She then provided them with all the information they needed. She did leave out the crystal part, because the Overseer made sure that everyone knew how important that kind of information was. Even the police couldn't help them with the crystal problem, they would just make it worse.
It was really late, so Freya let the emergency helpers deal with the murder scene. She assured the assistant that she would find out what happened to his friend no matter what. After, she went back home the way she came.
After a few questions, the assistant was also given the permission to leave the scene. He was in a horrible mental state at the moment, so one officer had to help him get home safely.
When Freya got home, everything was looking nice. The cleaner did an excellent job. She decided to admire her home a bit longer since the first time she got back, Freya was in a hurry to leave.
While looking, she remembered the replacements she bought and that they still weren't in their original place. She had to put them back, since she was still standing and didn't fall on the floor to sleep there. The replacements were looking perfect. There was no way Mr. Evans will ever know what she'd done.
After the 'gift' arrangement, Freya went to the bathroom to change out of the annoying outfit that was strangling her and to got ready for bed. She couldn't wait to jump in her soft and comfortable bed, so she could have a great sleep until eleven o'clock.
When she finished, Freya went straight to her bed and jumped on it. The problem was that, when she landed, the bed wasn't actually soft. It was pretty hard. Freya actually broke her nose from the bad impact she had with that traitor of bed (but mostly it was already broken from her previous encounter). She had to hurry back to the bathroom to stop her nose from bleeding. No worries though, Freya was planning her best revenge when the sun would come out. For now, that had to wait, she still wanted to sleep. At least she thought.
The moment she got back in her bed, there was no more tiredness. Freya had no choice, but to take her phone and waste her night. Then she remembered what happened in the evening. Freya couldn't wait to talk about her extraordinary experience in battle and that she made the bad guy run away, to her coworkers. They will be absolutely be stunned by her fighting skills. She couldn't stop thinking about her perfect self. Surely she was even more arrogant than that weird bad guy, but it didn't matter, because in the morning, she would definitely regret everything she just thought about herself. Bad luck was her specialty after all.
Freya fell asleep with her phone next to her, on the bed. She didn't fall asleep while seeing something nice on the internet, instead she fell asleep thinking high of herself. That didn't happen often, but when it did, it meant that tomorrow was going to be harder than usual. Let's hope nothing bad happens!
