There was a pharmacy nearby, and it wasn't long before the delivery arrived.
Chen Kai brought the medicine to Lu Jingyan, "The medicine's here, do you want to take it now?"
Lu Jingyan, who felt uncomfortable from drinking, shook her head, "Later."
"Should we go to the hospital?" Seeing Lu Jingyan not responding, Chen Kai added, "Or shall I take you home?"
Disturbed by Chen Kai, Lu Jingyan had a bit of a headache; she waved her hand dismissively, "Go have fun, don't worry about me. I'll stay here a bit longer, and if I really feel bad, I'll call the driver to take me home."
Chen Kai, "Okay, if you really feel bad, call me anytime."
Lu Jingyan nodded in acknowledgment.
Chen Kai stood up, holding his glass.
As Chen Kai prepared to leave, Lu Jingyan looked at him, wanted to ask what Sheng Xian had said earlier — whether it was out of his way or inconvenient to buy — but she swallowed her words before they left her mouth.
She really was odd.
