As the invasion hand been underway for over an hour, Barbara and her huey's began to look for injured Ottawan soldiers. Reverend Everett had joined in the ground fighting as they had secured aerial superiority.
As Reverend Everett enter the battlefield, a few New World Order soldiers tried to take his bible.
"Go ahead...TAKE IT FROM ME."
One soldier shook his head at other trying to take the bible. They backed away laying down their weapons.
"Upon the wings of angels...WE SHALL SECURE VICTORY!"
As the Reverend and his troops moved in to aid the others, Juno and her team were clearing the area of the Tritium heaters.
"Careful now, we don't need to be exposed to this stuff."
"Agree, Doctor Juno, any word from the frontlines?"
"Not as of yet, but judging by the gunfire, they're putting up a good fight.
"I just hope this war ends soon."
However, the battle for the collider wasn't finished. The Ghost had charged at the beam only for Rothschild to tackle him.
"YOU WILL NOT RUIN MY PLANS! THIS BARRIER WILL FALL!"
The Ghost socked Rothschild in the face and stood back up. Rothschild took the opportunity to punch the Ghost in the back, however, this resulted the Ghost using rebar pins to staple Rothschild to the ground. Turning his attention back to the collider, the Ghost gripped his sledgehammer and swung at the collider. Warning sirens began to blare as he attacked the collider. Around him, he release his anger upon the machine.
Rothschild laughed. "It is far to big for brute force to do a damn thing!"
However, the was a walkway that was directly inline with the beam.
"Juno, how hot is the beam coming out of this thing?"
"That beam would be around the same temperature as four nuclear bombs. Why?"
"Just curious."
The Ghost picked up his hammer and shield and began marching up the stairways.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"Shutting down your machine Rothschild. It's over.
Meanwhile, Juno and her team raced over towards the battlefield, she had a suspicion that the Ghost's question wasn't just out of curiosity.
"GHOST WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"Shutting the collider down."
"Ghost, if you enter that beam..."
"Liberty Bell's frame and body can't take that kind of punishment. The ODPA Mark II can, at least for a bit."
"GHOST DON'T!"
The Ghost raises his shield and braces it. He seals the suit and charges into the energy beam.
