Janet's Pov
Once my mother left, I ran back to my room and changed my clothes before heading in the direction of the Alpha's palace to see if I could stop her before she got herself into trouble.
"How dare you do this?" I could hear my mom screaming as I was approaching.
"She is your mate for god's sake; why would you reject her?" My mom continues.
"Son, is this true?" The alpha said
"Yes, it is, dad!" Tony replied without feeling any remorse.
"Why?" The alpha asks.
"Dad, I can't accept her as my mate; she's too weak; she can't bear strong alpha pups." Tony replies without any feeling of remorse.
With that statement, my heart shattered into pieces once again.
"Why must he be this rude and arrogant? Even if he doesn't want me as his mate, must he keep on insisting that I'm a weakling while he doesn't even know anything about me?" I questioned myself while staring at him angrily.
I just felt like walking towards him and punching him hard in the face so that he would also feel the pain I have been feeling since morning.
"Ooh, moon goddess, what did I do to deserve all this? Couldn't I get a loving and caring mate? Instead, I have to have this selfish bastard as my mate!" I said it angrily, and immediately everyone turned their gaze towards me.
"Oh, oh, did I just say that out loud?" I muttered to myself.
"Yes, you just did, and you are going to pay dearly for it," the Alpha replied angrily.
"How dare you insult the future Alpha, who is also your mate, right in front of him?" The Alpha thundered angrily at me, but I remained silent while bending my head in shame.
"Guess I was right all along," Tony said with a smirk on his face.
"Guards take them away; make sure you teach this brat how to have some manners." The Alpha ordered angrily, and immediately I was bundled away with my mom.
They took us to somewhere that looked like a prison. Once they reached there, they opened the steel door and pushed us inside. Once the guard pushed me in, I slipped on the slimy floor, hitting my head against the wall, and immediately I passed out.
"Janet, Janet." My name kept ringing in my ear, and immediately I jerked up and realized that it was my dad who was calling me.
I was lying on the bare floor of the dungeon with my head placed on my father's lap.
Everywhere was dark in the dungeon, but I was able to see everything through my wolf vision.
The walls of the dungeon were stained with dried blood, possibly the blood of other prisoners that had been kept in the dungeon previously before us.
Well, I know that you will be wondering if we were truly werewolves. Then why haven't we shifted into our wolf form and escaped from the dungeon?
Well, the truth was, our feet were banned with silver chains that were attached to the wall, and one of the weak points of every werewolf is silver.
We become powerless once we get into contact with anything that is made of silver.
"Hey Janet, how are you?" My dad said this to me while caressing my head.
"I'm fine, dad," I replied. "But Dad, how did you get inside here?" I asked my dad with a surprised tone because the last thing I remembered was that only my mom and I were thrown into the dungeon.
With that question, my dad remained silent, and immediately I understood that it was another caprice of the Alpha and his son.
"It's the Alpha, right?" I asked my dad, and immediately he turned his head away without replying, and once I looked at my mom, she bent her head in grief.
"Dad, mom, I'm sorry; all this is my fault," I said to my parents with a sorrowful tone.
"Come on, Janet, all this is not your fault; stop blaming yourself," my mom said to me while trying to hide her grief.
"But dad, what are they going to do to us?" I asked my dad, and immediately he bent his head in grief.
"I think they are going to execute us," my dad said to me, and immediately I widened my eyes in surprise.
"What! So, after rejecting me as his mate, he is now planning to kill us all," I said to my parents while sobbing.
"No, Janet, they aren't going to execute you; we are the ones who are going to be executed," my mother said to me with tears streaming down her face.
"No, no, mom, how am I going to survive without you and dad?" I asked my mom while sobbing.
"Janet, you are a very strong girl; we need you to be strong. Promise us that no matter what happens, you are going to be strong," my dad said to me while cleaning my tears.
"I will be strong, I promise you that, and once I grow up, I will do everything to avenge your mom's death, I promise you that," I said to my father while hugging him.
"Janet, we have something we want to tell you," my mom said to me after they had consoled me.
"Yes, mom, I'm listening to you," I replied to her while resting my head on my father's lap.
"We are not your real parents," my mom broke the news to me, and immediately I raised my head up and looked at her while expecting her to tell me that it was a joke, but from her facial expressions, I could easily detect that she meant what she was saying.
"What!" I exclaimed in surprise while looking at my dad, and immediately he nodded in agreement.
"Yes, Janet, we are not your real parents; your parents left you in our pack when you were still a baby," my dad said to me.
