Chapter 11 - Counter Kill

[Beast Envoys: Transcendentalists who make unequal contracts with various magical creatures, drive them to work for them, enslave them, and obtain various abilities from abnormal species for use.]

They were in a naked master-servant relationship, and generally speaking, the death of a servant didn't bring much harm to the master.

"It seems that your contract with this hybrid beast is extraordinary..."

Stepping out of the wagon, Eleazar tilts his head.

I'm going to kill you while you're sick, so if you don't strike now, when will you wait?

The 'Wraith Envoys' are a subordinate branch of the Transcendental Sequence; demons, all non-human species, and everything associated with warlocks are all mortal enemies of their Witcher.

They were naturally hostile formations, there was no need to make grudges and feuds, that innate feeling of disgust that he could not wait to skin and bone each other as long as he perceived it.

Eleazar raised his black iron revolver with a grimace and aimed.

He didn't know how to use this kind of hot weapon, but after being in a transcendental state and having the power to control his body perfectly, he quickly comprehended the essentials of this kind of weapon.

Three points, one line, aim for the vitals, pull the trigger.

"Bang!"

Gunshots rang through the night.

The silver bullets with transcendent power first blasted the other party's mysterious black veil into fragments all over the sky.

Transcendental protection?

There was a pause, and Eleazar grimaced as he continued to pull the trigger.

"Wait... Wait!"

Completely unanticipated that her protection was so unbearable the black-robed woman was shocked and her body staggered back, trying to use words to stall for a moment.

Just a click, just a drag ...

"Bang!"

"Bang, bang, bang..."

Eleazar chased his opponent to the top and jumped on top, coldly emptying a wheel clamp.

The female Wraith Envoy fell in a pool of blood, her limbs twitching unconsciously.

Transcendents are so resilient.

Eleazar coldly raised the invisible blade and swiftly decapitated her with a single slash.

Blood quickly stained the roof of the car...

At the same time, the flapping of feathers from a distance began to sound chaotic.

Eleazar cautiously crouched down and quickly reloaded the empty revolver.

But after waiting quietly for a moment, he heard the sound of movement moving away.

It seemed to be just a normal indentured beast, freed from slavery and regaining its freedom after its master's complete physical death.

"It's over..."

Eleazar stood up slowly, his eyes somewhat out of focus as he looked around him.

From discovery, to encounter, to being in danger, to seizing the opportunity to kill back, so many thrilling twists and turns happened in this short moment.

He very thrillingly bounced back.

Eleazar tilted his head back, feeling the howling wind.

A feeling of satisfaction that I had never felt before came over me.

A sense of pride that had accomplished its mission and couldn't help but tremble all over was born, and every cell in his body erupted with unparalleled joy and excitement.

It could be felt that those stubborn residues of magic potion in the body were being rapidly digested...

Senses became sharper, while physical qualities were strengthened, and he received his first promotion.

for ages...

Eleazar, who had spattered sporadic drops of blood on his face, slowly opened his eyes.

At his feet, the headless body had long been cold.

Further down, there's a bunch of miserable things.

Looking at these things, for some reason, a trace of revulsion and nausea didn't rise in him.

It was as if the long hours of meditation had weeded out some of his useless emotions.

...

[Magic potion residue: 1/3]

[Consumption: Engineering prop - Moonlight (recovered), 5 silver bullets.]

[Killed: One juvenile hybrid beast, one hostile transcendent]

[Harvest: One bottle of blood and flesh and one eyeball of a dream-eating tapir, two bottles of unrecognized herbal powder, three copies of jerky (suspected demonic rations), and one copy of notes.]

Dropping the headless body into the furnace, Eleazar facetiously destroys the corpse and begins to clean up any traces left along the way.

Washing his bloodstained hands, he slowly replaced the clothes on his body as well, dropping them into the furnace by hand and adding a few shovels of coal to fuel the fire.

After cleaning everything up and making sure he hadn't left any loose ends, Eleazar went back to the driver's door, looked around, and picked up a wrench.

"When ----"

An innocent metal pipe was knocked bent on the spot.

That awful sound was enough to bring a neighborhood out in the night to hunt it down.

"Ah!"

"Boo!"

"Ouch, that hurts!"

"Shit, who is it!"

When the startled and enraged captain hastily pulled open the gate, he could see nothing.

Eleazar walked back as if nothing had happened, holding his groggy head.

Wherever they passed, people were still asleep, only the look of pain on their faces was gone.

Back in their seats in the previous compartment, Fina curled up in a ball.

...

...

"Ladies and gentlemen, the train is about to arrive at the final destination of this trip - Daron City, please bring your personal belongings and follow the instructions to get off the train in an orderly manner."

The stewardess informed everyone in gentle Celine.

The journey, which had become torturous overnight, finally came to an end.

The passengers, who were very depressed, were suddenly refreshed.

People who were oblivious to the fact that they were being mentally eaten away by the creatures of darkness thought it was the terrible conditions on the train that kept them up all night.

Eleazar opened his eyes as well.

Like the sickly passengers around him, his face was equally pale.

Spiritual depletion... and having your spirit eaten away, the aftermath is the same.

For the next long period, they will be in a state of extreme mental fatigue for a long time, but then when they lie down on the bed, they will realize that they can't sleep at all.

Listlessness, slowed reaction time, headaches, and inability to concentrate are insomnia-like complications that can leave them exhausted and worn out.

At least half of them will be hospitalized.

The eyes of the young man across the street were dull and lifeless and had begun to show symptoms of wandering.

Eleazar glanced again at Fina beside him.

As if sensing his gaze, she turned her head.

"What for!"

Her face was fine as if she hadn't been too badly affected.

Eleazar yawned wearily.

He was also now eager to get off quickly and find a quiet place to meditate and recover.

Last night's brief but thrilling encounter had drained all of his spirituality.

It's only now that I look back on it that I feel a pang of fear.

That was a Magical Beast Envoy that had contracted at least two dark creatures, and if he hadn't given his opponent a chance to use his abilities and rescue him, it was still uncertain who would die in the end.

Eleazar looked out the car window in silence.

"In the future, when I encounter this kind of situation again, I will have to be more cautious in observing the surrounding conditions."

Transcendental phenomena don't come out of nowhere; the vast majority are man-made.

He was not a unique being; there were others in that mysterious and unpredictable dark world who had also obtained the Transcendent Inheritance.
