'We should just throw the pup in the air, and let the big one try to save it while we run.'
'We are not going to do that.' Said Alana dryly.
'I have many other suggestions involving the pup as a decoy for us to Run. I just have the feeling that you don't want that.'
'The little one still needs more time to heal, it is very weak.'
'just let it's progenitors take care of nursing him back.'
' Didn't you say they left him behind, survival of the fittest, wasn't it?'
'In retrospective I also said it could be a trap and here we are.'
'well it hasn't attacked us. What is it waiting for...' After a close look with more attention they noticed that the bigger white wolf was injured. 'I kind recognise it's gaze... Isn't it the leader of the pack ?'
As Alana was staring back at White wolf, the little pup that was with nose and face inside of Alana's arm, started moving a popped it's head outside, feeling it's progenitors scent. It whined a little bit, the wolf in the other hand showed it's teeth growling eve more. The little pup started liking Alana's hand again. Which made the bigger wolf drop down it's guard and fell to the floor.
'guess it was too weak to fight.'
'You could easily get him now.'
'I could easily get him before but that energy consuming and I am sleepy. I have told you that I am sleepy.' Tera yawned to make a point. Alana just rolled her eyes.
The white wolf's was heavy breathing its eyes were open, but looked gazed.
Alana walked slowly towards it, putting the little one in front of it. The little ball of fur walked to towards the bigger one, whining as if asking it to get up. It got close and licked the wounds, in a cry manner howled, it's howl was weak but sorrowful.
'I know what are you thinking, but if we stay ...' Tera could see that Alana wasn't going to back down. ' If you going to heal him you should restrain him. You will use my power but since I am getting sleepy is possible that will lose consciousness while you heal him.' Alana was weighting the possibilities, but she could only trust that everything would go fine...
Alana touched it and it hissed, it's growl was of protest, but he didn't Dodge. She started healing it, its breath became lighter and lighter, the little one went back and forward between Alana and its parent.
As Alana had almost finished healing, she started feeling weak herself, like she was in need to drink water, like she was dehydrated, her mouth was dry and she started to cough. The beast took that moment to jump up onto her. It's face was right in front of Alana, its teeth were showing, its breath was hot and steady.
'Tera would be so mad if she wasn't unconscious, I don't think I have enough strength to run.'
"So you really going to be ungrateful, huh?"
The little one ran clumsy to Alana and snuggled right in her lap. Alana didn't dare to look down to the little pup. She kept this staring contest with the wolf.
Even though she was nervous she kept a neutral face, out of instinct she lifted her hand to place it in the wolfs head, but it flinched however it didn't attack. It took a step back, while the little while seem to not understand exactly the mood, was playing around putting its legs up and rolling in her lap now that it was feeling better and its progenitor was looking better than before.
White wolf's were very large and enormous beasts, having the little one on her the lap was not heavy, and this one was particularly small, but the other one was enormous, even for a White wolf. After stepping back, it sat down still staring at Alana.
'Is it waiting for the rest of the pack... Or...' Before she could finish that thought it advanced, decided and put its head under Alana's palm, that in defence she raised.
Alana stood up and closed her eyes. She didn't Soulbond with the beast, but she could feel that the wolf felt the same uneasyness that she has been feeling of a late.
There was something coming and something around that even scared this big beast of the forest.
