Alana walked over to the door drank the warm wine in one go, and place the cup in someone's hand. "I may need to excuse myself for today, thank you for inviting me to take part of ...this gathering." she left the room.
As she was walking up stairs, someone called for her, as she turned around it was Emil, one of the warriors that had returned.
"You may not know me ... I am Edah's father, Esha's son." He bowed. "I must say I am impressed with you my lady, you faced Jakar with no fear."
"Why would I fear, I know that he wouldn't attack me while I was unarmed."
Emil smiled. "You are a very insightful person, my Lady.I present myself as a mere servant, I am sorry not coming to you sooner, I wanted to thank you, for what you did."
Alana eyes widened 'did he see me while I was healing him' she thought.
"Edah told me what you did for her, you have saved her from Megera." Kneeling Emil sobbed. " I thank you for the bottom of my heart I don't know what would I do... if ..had I returned ...and she was gone out of my reach." He stood in one knee with his head down.
"That why my Lady, I Emil, will present my loyalty to the lady of the house, my Master, Mistress..."
'Mistress?' Alana was annoyed.
"... I am the blessed, I am the strongest, my allegiance lies with you, and your brood.
The fallen will raise and I will serve you even in death.
I am blessed, I am the strongest here is my loyalty vow."
Alana was surprised to the sunddenly vow, she still bowed in accordance.
Alana was used to go to the observatory that she had almost forgotten she had her room free again. She would start by trying to read some books in the library and would later fall asleep while stargazing, at observatory. Most of the time she would wake up when was too cold. Sometimes she would go outside for a walk, through the garden, walk through the ways of the main house.
The house was centered in the terrain, surrounded by the garden, the stables, other utilities rooms. Since it was always snowing there was no flowers for decoration.
It was late everyone that was gathered in the hall had either left back to town or went to their room where they were still healing. Alana was still awake wondering around the house.
Even though it was cold she still ventured outside, with a fur jacket to cover herself. She was walking in the bare Garten covered with snow, she kept walking leaving foot prints to where she was treading. She just kept walking, without paying attention to where she was going when she came to herself again she noticed she was inside the forest.
She looked around but there were no monsters, which of lately was getting too often that they didn't appear around the house or the town.
'do you think that has to do this uneasy feeling that's been bothering us?' Asked Alana.
'It seems to be so, I do sense a presence but is non threatening. Over there.' Tera walked forward to the direction she was feeling the presence.
'why are we going towards it... Is not like I came here to figh...'
'its frightened, and it seems weak.'
As she walked a little further she found a small wolf puppy that was injured, it was trembling, from its weak state, it couldn't produce any warmth like it normally could.
Alana stretched her hand to touch the pup, but Tera stopped it.
'No, it could be a trap, there's no way the pup is here alone, we should go back.' Tera held her hand back.
' You said it yourself, you don't feel any other presence, if we let it stay here it is going to die.'
Tera rolled her eyes. 'your trust skills are very bad I must tell you.'
'Is just a little pup, what arm can he do.'
'He has sharp teeths that can cut through flesh..yours to be exact. '
'Well it's not like can't heal or anything.'
Alana ignored Tera's advice and touch the little pup, it seemed to wake up frightened by the touch it gathered it's little strength, to get up and growl at Alana.
"Calm down, I won't hurt you." She said putting her hand in her fur jacket pocket and taking a rolled scarf with some baked potatoes chips, and stretched her hand for the pup to sniff. "It's not warm anymore, but it's still good." She said letting the little pup sniff her hand its instinct was to bite, but he was so weak that is bite made no difference, and maybe because he was very little. It's hunger was bigger than its fear so it ate everything, while Alana with other hand, approached slowly to pet it, it was still slowly moving away from her hand she as advanced. After awhile it gave up and let her pet it's head.
With contact she could heal him little by little.
'Sure heal the best to be able to attack us.' Said Tera sarcastic.
Alana rolled her eyes .' Even if he is fully healed his damage is not bigger than a baby it's mother.'
'Don't count on it.'
Alana had finally won over the little pup that was crawling in Alana's embrace for warmth, and liking her hand.
'see ... It is already tasting you.'
Alana chuckle of the thought. 'Don't be ridiculous. I wonder where are the rest of the pack is, didn't Lock say that the hunt group have been having trouble finding the white wolf's lately?'
'Besides of the obvious trap, why would they leave the little one behind...Hmmm it could also be just a normal nature selection, survival of the fittest kind of situation.'
'That's horrible!'
'Every being does it, even humans do it.' Said Tera indifferent.
'Humans do it as well?? '
'I have seen it countless of times, whenever humans disagree with eachother, there's blood bath, the better and the strongest survives, you just call it differently. ' Tera said while yawning. This cold is making me sleepy.
'He is so soft, just like a fur ball. That would make a interesting name.'
Don't name that thing!' Said Tera coldly.
A loud growl could be heard behind Alana.
'Hey...guess who's here?' Said Tera.
