Chanaka walked home that day. He limped with his poles by his hands. He was happy that he was alive. He opened the doors of his house and crashed on the couch. He looked at the house he was in. It was a really luxurious house that his brother had built. By hook or crook, he had bought it. Through his sheer perseverance. Through hardwork. He looked at his broken down legs and threw the poles away on anger. My pursuit of being the strongest in the world, has made he a selfish person. My brother toiled and I was following my selfish pursuits, he scoffed at himself. I sit in comfort only because if him. And now, look at me. I'am no where close to being the strongest. For gods sake, I almost died. My brother won and I lost, he said and closed his eyes.
Chanaka walked out of the door and went to the closet construction site. They were building a huge skyscraper. Surely they must have some work for me, he thought and walked towards the construction worker. The construction worker who was busy in his work waved him over to the supervisor. Chanaka walked over to the supervisor and asked for work. The supervisor has a good look at him. "Yes, yes," he said and pointed him at the direction where they doing the heaviest abd hardest work. Chanaka stood there for a bit and realised that the supervisor was done talking. He walked over to the work site and stood there. "What are you doing? Get to work," the assistant supervisor said. He looked at Chanaka once again before he got back to his work. "Don't forget to wear your protective gear," he said. As he walked to get the protective gear, he saw a formidable yet threatening presence. A large man in a suit, surrounded by yuzdin. Chanaka hid behind a pillar, waiting for the yuzdin to pass. He heaved a sigh of relief as the yuzdin passed him without noticing him. What are the yuzdin doing here? And who is that man? wondered Chanaka.
