"This world fucking sucks. I hate it.", The Destroyer said as he punched another man after already killing four in a dark alley.
"All of you are losers who only exist, so non-losers can have something to use and play with. What a pitiful bunch of worthless flesh.", The Destroyer said as he picked up and tossed the man on a pile of freshly dead bodies. The dark alley was notoriously known to be a top spot for drug trades, gangs, and crime in general, until recently when an unknown person was gatecrashing certain crime spots in the city of Arcstone. Nobody knows what his name was but eventually, he got called The Destroyer for his sheer power and destructive capabilities. He has erratic behavior and a twisted point of view of things. Sometimes he would instantly kill people, and sometimes he would give them a chance to fight or escape to tell the tale of his brutality. But regardless of the situation, both criminals and the law enforcers strongly disagree with his behavior. He is neither a hero nor a villain, he is a rogue who only works for himself.
"No, please stop!", the unknown man begged as he barely had any energy left to speak those words due to the severity of his injuries.
"Time to go now,", Keeper clenched his left fist and a red aura started forming and circling until it took the shape of a raging fire. He charged toward the man and the corpses and punched them, causing a massive explosion that destroyed half of the nearby apartment building. Most of the dead bodies were dusted and the rest were barely identifiable. The majority of people nearby started freaking out but some were completely inured and used to seeing violence in the area. A couple of people started running away, some were curious, and a few of them were treating it as some kind of entertainment as The Destroyer was seen walking away unfazed from the scene.
"That's my guy right here! Keep blowing up these rascals!", a random drunk man who was passing by cheered.
"I'm calling the cops! Destroying properties is illegal.", An old man nearby grabbed his phone to call the police department but due to his shakingness, it fell to the ground.
"What cops, do they still do things these days?", the random drunk man looked behind him to the old man and chugged his beer.
"I got a better idea.", Keeper stomped the phone and walked toward the old man.
"What are you doing?", the old man nervously asked as he slowly backed away.
"If you are that worried about the property I destroyed, maybe you should also join the experience.", in the blink of an eye, The Destroyer dashed in front of the old man, which for ordinary people seemed like he just teleported. He placed his left hand on the old man's head and for a split second his head exploded and his blood splattered around the place and his lifeless body fell like a leaf to the ground.
"Poor old man, but I need to go back to work. God, I hate graveyard shifts.", the woman who was walking just behind the old man muttered to herself.
"Oh, hell no.", another woman walking reacted to the incident.
"Please no, don't kill us!", some of the passers-by repeatedly shouted as they ran as fast as they could away from him.
"See, this is the action we deserve to have in this trashy city! This is way better than those men in boxers who fight for a belt or whatever I need a man.", a random drunk woman gulped her bear and threw it on the ground.
The Destroyer just stood there waiting for something while a siren could be heard at a distance as the commotion caught the attention of a patrolling police car. The police officers looked through the window, their concerned eyes changed to fear when they saw the person who caused it.
"Speak any word and you'll be next.", The Destroyer glowered at the police officers. Rage energy covered his entire body like no one had ever seen before. The extreme concentration on his body was enough to scare even the bravest hero and the foolest fool.
"Oh no no no no no, we need to leave!", the police officer in the front seat uttered. His life flashed before him as a familiar person crossed eyes with him.
"Shit! I know this guy.", the police officer who was sitting in the driver's seat recognized The Destroyer. She stepped on the gas, put her hands on the steering wheel, and drove away as fast as she could, and never looked back.
"Who the hell was he?!", the police officer in the back seat asked.
"What do you mean who the hell was he? He has been causing real awful problems within the past weeks!", the police officer in the front seat yelled at his colleague as they abandoned the scene.
"Well, I'm sorry, I don't know. But he sure does look crazy powerful.", the police officer replied as he grabbed another donut.
"Crazy powerful with crazy anger issues.", the police officer extended his statement as he ate the donut.
"Maybe if you weren't slacking off and not just munching on those free donuts all day you'll actually know the real issues this world has, Axel.", the driver called out Axel.
"Wow, I didn't know you were capable of saying sensible stuff, Jess.", Axel said in disbelief.
"It's probably just a sign of old age.", Martin, the last unnamed police officer chimed in.
"Shut it.", Jess said while both of her eyes were still focused on the road.
"Wait, aren't you older than her, Martin?", Axel laughed, then wondered.
"Anyway, what do we do with him, Jess?", Martin shifted the attention back to The Destroyer.
"Well, he's not here anymore, so he's not our problem for now. Let's just hope somebody else deals with him. He's not the type of person we can beat or even fight, honestly. Besides, we are not getting paid enough to deal with such a monstrosity.", Jess replied with clear uncertainty.
"Fair enough, we'll let it slide this time, that's the only thing we can do for now.", Martin empathized with her.
"But we should inform our department and hopefully send better people to the area,", Martin added.
"Sure.", Jess grabbed her communication device with one hand and the other on the steering wheel.
"Hello, this is Jess. We stumbled upon this destroyer guy earlier at the dark alley. At least one person was killed, if you have better people who can deal with him, please send them." she called their superiors. She waited for the other side to respond but it was all just static.
"Those people are probably just partying again.", Martin crossed his arms.
"Perhaps, but at least we can say we did something so it's not our fault.", Jess sighed.
"Okay… But aren't you older than Jess?", Axel brought back their recent topic.
"I have more donuts here, do you want them?", Martin tried to dodge the question.
"Absolutely.", Axel replied with excitement as he reached out for the donuts.
"The answer is yes, and by the way, he's 48, and I'm… Well, still younger than that.", Jess clarified.
"Oh come on, betraying your colleague is against our oath as police officers! We should always be by each other's side. If one of us dies, the other one should die as well. It is a noble principle we follow!", Martin cried.
"Whatever old man, cry about it.", Jess laughed.
"Maybe it's better that I can have your donuts. I heard they're bad for old people.", Axel teased him as he observed the donuts.
"Stop it! Give me those back. You annoying donut devourer newcomer.", embarrassed Martin grabbed his donuts back as Jess laughed while driving.
"Stop laughing Jess, you are only two years younger and already showing more signs of aging than me.", Martin clapped back at Jess.
"Hey, let's just talk about Axel's donut problems.", Jess tried to return the attention to Axel.
For a few more minutes, the police car was filled with waves of laughter and joyous spirits.
"By the way, my daughter's eleventh birthday is on Sunday. I'm planning on taking her to the capital. I'm thinking of going to the amusement park in the morning and having dinner at a fancy restaurant in the evening. You guys are invited. I mean if you guys are free and if you want to go…", Martin awkwardly looked to the window as he tried to avoid seeing their reactions.
"Aw, that's so sweet.", Jess teased him.
"So sweet like this donut", Axel added.
"Wait, what was that.", Martin stretched his neck to the car window.
"What?", Jess asked.
"Never mind, I thought I saw something.", Martin replied, but still slightly disturbed.
"Anyway, I would love to attend your daughter's birthday. I haven't seen Synthia in quite a while now. I'm sure she's way taller now.", Jess softened her voice.
"Count me in, I'm sure you saved up for this. We don't really earn a lot and poverty is still a huge problem in this country, especially in our city..", Axel's tone turned serious.
"I appreciate both of you", Martin appreciated.
"I don't say this often but, I really do like work-", The smile on Jess' face disappeared when all of a sudden a familiar face appeared in front of them.
"I said no speaking.", The Destroyer threw an enraged punch at them, causing their vehicle to fly away due to the impact.
