Chapter 4 - Kingpin's panic and Matthew's helplessness

"Who could have done this, those bothersome mutants?"

"It's quite possible, look for surveillance cameras nearby, we need to confirm this."

The captain who came with the team had a worried expression.

Looking at the corpses scattered on the ground like toy parts, he couldn't help but say, "That's not it."

"Regardless of who the suspect really is, he is an extremely dangerous person."

"It seems he didn't act alone."

The case of the brutal murder in Hell's Kitchen quickly gained wide coverage in the media.

Hell's Kitchen was one of the most dangerous areas in New York, and the entire planet.

Murders here were not uncommon, but killing over forty gang members in one night was something unusual.

Moreover, the method of committing the crime was extremely cruel, but still attracted a lot of attention.

"It has been confirmed that the identities of all the victims - they are the core members of the Twin Gang."

"From reliable sources it became known that forty-seven gang members were armed at the time of the attack."

"Amazingly, the suspects appear to have used only a machete for the murders."

"The search for information among the population is currently underway, and witnesses can call the station at the number... and report information to reporters or the police...."

"Good kill, if you want my opinion." The sullen man in ragged overalls grunted.

"One death of these gangsters makes life one point better for us common people."

The words of this sullen man reflected what most ordinary people thought in their hearts.

They eagerly awaited the death of all these gangsters who had ridden on their necks and killed like devils.

However, there were also those who held a different opinion.

The lawyer Matthew in a suit and sunglasses, also known as Daredevil, frowned and said, "They are indeed guilty."

"They are indeed guilty of the most heinous crimes, but they should stand before a fair trial, not private revenge."

"If justice really exists, then why doesn't it punish the villains instead of making us ordinary people suffer?"

The man laughed at Matthew's words.

"Only those at the bottom of society know that there is no justice in this world."

"After Loki, who led the Chitauri invasion of New York, killed so many earthlings, was he tried?"

The lawyer was dumbfounded, unable to refute the man's words.

The laws of Earth were not binding on Asgard.

Loki had undoubtedly killed so many people, but he still got away with it.

And those at the very top didn't even dare ask Asgard to announce Loki's sentence.

Matthew took a sip of his drink, the wounds left over from last night still ached.

He grimly said, "People are not necessarily good just because they kill bad people."

Yesterday's encounter made him pay attention to something unusual.

These two people were of unusual origin.

It may be a product of magic.

"But why did the Hand start hunting Kingpin's people? I thought they were in collusion."

Matthew pondered distrustfully as he left the bar with his briefcase.

The strong aroma of coffee in the air refreshed Matthew's thoughts.

"Could it be that a new cafe has opened in 'Hell's Kitchen'?" Matthew muttered with some disbelief.

In a place like Hell's Kitchen, the most open places were bars, dance halls and all kinds of places where people could get drunk and die.

A place like a cafe seemed a little out of place.

And this intoxicating and charming aroma clearly came from elite coffee.

Matthew also smelled a familiar scent.

"This is tea, and good tea."

Lawyer Matthew was Stick's apprentice before he became Daredevil, and Stick practiced ancient Chinese martial arts.

He loved tea very much.

Matthew also loved tea.

Immediately sensing the aroma of tea, he excitedly opened the door of the Fate cafe.

...

The tall and powerful man who looked like a brown bear slowly got up.

The suit was tight and seemed to burst from the man's muscles.

This man was the uncrowned king of Hell's Kitchen.

Wilson Fisk, who was called the lord of the criminal world.

Perhaps his other name will sound familiar - he was Kingpin!

"Killed over forty armed men but didn't leave the slightest clue?"

Kingpin's face changed severely.

Last year a kid in a red suit appeared in his territory.

Because of this, Kingpin's business was severely affected.

And it humiliated Kingpin's dignity.

Several clashes occurred one after another.

But none of them were as costly as last night!

In one night, forty-seven gang members were killed.

This not only made Kingpin lose face, but also greatly weakened his power.

The gangs controlled by Fisk's iron fist had already come into motion upon hearing this news.

Fisk had to regain face!

"Wasn't it Daredevil who did this?" said the gloomy man with a scar on his forehead resembling a target.

He was Fisk's right-hand man and top assassin!

Bullseye.

Usually Kingpin respected his opinion.

But this time Kingpin stated decisively: "No, no way."

Although Daredevil causes us inconvenience, he never kills anyone."

"Although there were people who died because of him, it wasn't because of his actions."

"It can't be him."

After a year of fighting, Kingpin had studied Daredevil's character well.

He would never kill anyone, let alone so cruelly.

"Then it's the Punisher?" Bullseye added.

The Punisher ruthlessly dealt with criminals, killing them on the spot.

Didn't let anyone live to see the next day.

Moreover, he was very experienced, wielding various firearms and combat techniques.

Even Bullseye, who was an elite assassin, had to admit the Punisher's superior skills.

"The other side used only a machete, no firearms, which does not match the Punisher's profile."

Fisk thought this problem should be nipped in the bud before it grew even more.

"Bullseye, you and Elektra go together."

"I'll send a few core gang members as bait, and if he continues to act tonight..."

"You and Elektra try to keep him alive, I want to see what kind of person is capable of killing so many of my men."

Fisk had his channels in the police.

It could be confirmed that all the gang members killed last night were killed by one person.

According to the analysis, the suspect should also have suffered serious injuries.

However, considering that this person killed forty-seven armed gang members simply by using cold steel.

Fisk had reason to believe that this person was no ordinary human.

"Mutants? Or one of those annoying superheroes?" Kingpin sank into deep thought.

But no matter how much he thought about it, he would never know that the world looks strange, in a way that common sense cannot explain it.
