Everyone turned to look at where the voice came from. They saw a blur of orange rushing over.
"Ah? Brother Lu? Why is there a moving traffic cone here?" Shin Ming was dazed.
Tara heard his words and almost fainted. She had no choice but to swallow her anger and smile. "This gentleman is really funny."
"So the traffic cone is actually a human being?" Fatty Shin Ming was enlightened.
The smile on Tara's face became twisted. She turned away from him decisively and faced Sara. "Sister, I know you usually talk to me like this at home, but you shouldn't do the same outside. Not everyone is like your family that will indulge you." She 'advised'.
She then turned to Cui Mai. "Young Master Cui please forgive our Sara. She's been raised to have a temper and it's totally our fault. Hence I apologize to you." She bowed deeply.
"However, the way you spoke to my sister was really wrong. On account of that, I'll accept your challenge on behalf of my sister! I might not compare to you men in racing, but I'll definitely do my best to defend my sister!"
The men present were all touched. This should be the bullied real Miss of the Zhen family, but not only did she apologize on behalf of her bully, she even defended her bully at her own risk! One had to know how dangerous racing was, yet she was willing to do it! How rare it was to find such a kind girl in their circle! The men's eyes shone fervently.
Tara accepted the looks of admiration from the men. She noticed that they were looking at Sara with dissatisfaction and lowered her eyes to hide her smug look. Sara, see how I'll trample you!
She stared at the girl in question only to see her sneering at her. Tara felt her heart tremble. Sara looked at her like she was looking at a dead animal. She shivered and looked at the man beside Sara hoping to see his admiring glance. To her disappointment, all she could see was him staring at Sara. Her heart clenched angrily. Why? Why? Why Sara? She was clearly better than that wild brat!
"Young Master Cui." Tara was determined to win that man's gaze. "I don't care for your incentives, I only need you to race with me for my sister's honour!"
Sara sneered. Look at how righteous her words are! She kicked Cui Mai beneath her. "Can't you see she's talking to you?"
"Boss!" Cui Mai wailed suddenly and hugged Sara's legs. "I was too blind and almost mistook Mount Everest for a hill!"
Sara kicked him away. "Is that so?"
Cui Mai crawled back. "Yes, yes."
"Hehe." Sara laughed. "First deal with the issue on ground."
"What issue?" Cui Mai was confused.
Sara nodded at Tara. "There's a clown jumping around, insisting on performing. It will be a shame to waste her talents."
Tara's face paled. She wanted to curse Sara but remembered her kind image. She immediately put on a wounded appearance. "Sister..." She swayed weakly in the wind.
"Look at you. Just some little words and you're about to faint. What gave you the courage to come out and race?" Sara snapped.
Tara took a few steps back and hung her head.
One man couldn't take it anymore and shouted at Sara. "Your sister is only trying to help you, you ungrateful bitch."
"Did I look like I suffered just now? I didn't even agree to race. So what exactly is she helping with?" Sara retorted.
The man was stunned. That was right, this lady had clearly roasted them. What exactly was her sister doing now?
"And the next time anyone dares to curse me... I'll rip your tongue out!" Sara gave them all a warning glare causing many of the men to stagger back.
Tara didn't panic. She bowed deeply. "It was my fault for being meddlesome and caring too much about sister's affairs. I apologize."
The men were touched once again. Such an angel!
Sara looked at those fools and shook her head. She galnced at Lu Lei and was relieved to see he was at least sober. She called out to Tara who was about to leave.
"Don't leave yet. I don't want people to say I'm suppressing you. Since you want to defend me so much, then go ahead." With this, Sara even pretended to shed a few tears. "You don't know how much these men bullied me sister! Thankfully, you arrived on time! I'm so happy!" She sobbed.
The men were all speechless. Little ancestor, it's not good to lie so blatantly, is it?
Lu Lei couldn't stand this farce and pulled the girl into his arms. "Aren't you too much?"
"Why?" Sara glared at him. "Does your heart ache for her?"
Tara's heart quickened. Her face was covered with a blush as she waited to hear the man say 'yes'.
"Silly girl." Lu Lei slapped her back. "Why should I care about inconsequential people? My heart clearly hurts because of how red your eyes are. Do you want to fall sick again?"
Sara smiled happily. "Brother Lu Lei is the best!"
Looking at this two, Tara felt her anger rising. She wanted to leave so badly. She could only turn to Cui Mai and ask him to race.
"Race with you? Who are you?" Cui Mai frowned.
Tara was so angry her eyes went red. "Cui Mai! Don't go to far!"
"Go to far? I don't even know you! You barged in and spouted nonsense on your own, performing a one man show. Now you want me to accompany you? Get lost." Cui Mai waved her away.
Tara was aggrieved and her tears fell. In the end, the men couldn't stand to see a beauty cry and nominated one man to race with her. The man gave way in the end and let her win.
"Tsk. No wonder she came to show off. She indeed has some skills." Sara smiled.
"This little bit of skills?" Cui Mai was disdainful.
"At least she won your man." Sara smirked.
Cui Mai glared at the man who raced, furiously. "Since you're so willing to give up your spot for someone who relies on their face to win, then don't follow me around again."
The man's face paled.
Tara knew he was referring to her. She clenched her fists as she stared at Sara. It was all her fault! And that bastard Cui Mai too!
"Look at how ferocious her eyes! Do you want to eat me? If anything happens to me in the future, you all are my witnesses! Hold this lady responsible!" Cui Mai spoke arrogantly.
Sara laughed. "Thanks to you, white lotus, you defended my honour even if you had to use your face. Although, I feel a bit disgusted to accept that win."
Tara could only swallow. "You're welcome." She just wanted to leave this place fast!
"My ancestor." Cui Mai fawningly approached Sara. "I booked a restaurant already, let's go eat."
Sara shoot him a glance. "You're quite smart for a fool."
"Haha." Cui Mai could only laugh. Who asked her to know his secret. He stared at the young girl's back as she left with Lu Lei.
Sara Zhen.
Such an interesting girl.
