Chereads / THE REVENGE OF THE FAKE DAUGHTER / Chapter 22 - I'll Kill Her

Chapter 22 - I'll Kill Her

Class B

"Tara." A short girl with bouncy, curly hair ran up to the girl who was doing her assignments.

"Tara!"

"Mengmeng." Tara looked up from her work and frowned as she glared at her best friend helplessly. "When will you learn to act like a lady?"

Mengmeng stuck out her tongue. "That's not important. Guess who I saw now?"

Tara's eyes flashed, but she pretended to be ignorant as she smiled. "Who did you see?"

"That fake daughter! She's back in school!" Mengmeng shouted at the top of her voice. Immediately, Class B was in an uproar.

"That usurper is here? We need to teach her a lesson!"

"Yes! How dare she bully our school's goddess?"

Tara hurriedly clamped her hand over Mengmeng's mouth. "Mengmeng!"

"What?" The girl frowned as she shoved Tara's hands away. "She's allowed to bully you but we are not allowed to say anything about it? Just wait, I have made plans for her already!"

"Mengmeng..." Tara pretended to persuade her friend but a sly smile crept up over her lips.

Sara stared at the board in a daze. It was true! She hadn't dared to confirm it before but now it seems it was true! A lopsided smile covered her lips. She was finally able to read! She had been suspecting it because this body was able to accurately read signs, sign boards, labels and the likes, but she had not wanted to hope, least it be turn to be a false hope.

Yes, the previous Sara Arnold couldn't read. Not because she was illiterate but because she suffered from dyslexia. Anything she tried to read, the words would become jumbled up. Because of this, she had hated school. Her classmates then would mock her. She was the only princess of the Arnold family yet she was a fool. She had learnt how to beat up everyone that said that to her.

Because of this she resorted to home schooling and only joined the Imperial Capital High during their CSAT. But now, she was finally able to read!

If there was one thing Sara was known for, it was her love for knowledge. Even though she had dyslexia, she had still graduated from the University although it was a hard feat. Now, she could enjoy books at her own privilege!

Sara was busy soaking in joy at her new discovery when the bell for lunch rang.

"Sara!" Su Mei immediately ran up to her. "Let's go to the cafeteria!"

"Food, food, food." Chun Li sneered as she walked up to them. "I wonder where all this food is going into!"

Su Mei grinned slyly and puffed out her chest. "Look carefully and you'll know!"

Sara's attention was attracted by the sight of the chest that was even three times larger than hers. Her mischievous claws couldn't help but reach out.

"Sara!" Su Mei turned a deep shade of red.

"Hehe. Sorry, sorry." Although she apologized, in her mind Sara was thinking of how to get another feel.

The girls made their way to the cafeteria with much laughter but were soon stopped middway by a large group of people.

"He Meng!" Su Mei spotted the girl in front of the group and her face twisted. "What do you think you're doing?"

"What does it look like?" He Meng retorted. She ignored the two other girls and faced the girl in the middle. "Sara. So you really still dare to come back!"

"Does your family own this school?" Sara looked in disdain at the short, stocky girl in front of her. "Why shouldn't I bear to come back? Did I commit murder? Or arson? Or did I steal money from the school? Why can't I come back?"

He Meng was speechless. "You...you..."

"Did you come to my front to stammer?" Sara waved her hand impatiently. "I know you've been crushing on me for a while, but the least you could do is gather courage to talk to me. If not, don't show up at my front at all!"

"You shameless witch!" He Meng fumed. "Look at how vicious your mouth is. No wonder Tara ends up crying after talking to you!"

"Yes, yes. I'm the worst and your young miss is the best. She is the most perfect and beautiful existence in your heart." Sara nodded. "Are you done?"

He Ming felt her chest hurt. This witch just blocked everything she wanted to say!

"Since you're done, I'll leave." Sara walked past.

"Wait." He Meng held out a hand to hold her. Immediately, she felt a gaze as dark and heavy as ink upon her. She looked up to meet Sara's dark, fathomless eyes. She felt like she was looking into a bottomless pit that would swallow her whole...

Thus, everyone saw the Young Miss He staring into Sara's eyes like a man in love. Even the people she brought began to whisper among themselves.

Sara shook her head left and right. "Tsk. Chasing after idols at this young age. Well since it's me, it's understandable."

Chun Li shot her a look of disgust. "Can you be anymore narcissistic?"

Sara held her face. "Am I? Nevermind that. Aren't you two hungry?" She poked Su Mei's cheeks. "Little glutton. Let's go."

"Ah? Yes, yes!" Su Mei gazed at Sara with adoring eyes. "You're too manly!" The three girls walked away.

"Sister He?" The people that He Meng brought around couldn't bear it anymore and went up to her. "Sister He!"

"Stay away from me!" She threw a slap at the girl's face. Her mind was filled with those dark eyes that seemed like they wanted to devour her. That witch! He Meng thought angrily. How dare she humiliate me? If she knows what's best for her, she shouldn't leave this school today! She smirked coldly.

*********

"And that's your homework for the day." The Chinese teacher closed her laptop. Immediately all the students groaned.

"We already have lots of assignments! Won't our angelic Miss Ba let us off?" One guy shouted from behind.

The Chinese teacher grinned. "Add one more page to it."

The students yelled. The boys closest to the boy behind immediately reached out to slap his head. "You should have kept shut!"

Sara smiled as she watched them. If felt so good to be young again, sigh!

Stop talking like you're old! The Host's voice came from within. Just by looking at your soul, I can tell you're still young!

What does a shred of consciousness like you, know? Sara retorted.

The Host suffered 10 points of damage and instantly retreated. Chun Li and Su Mei approached her and the three left.

"Sara, are your parents picking you up? Or should I give you a ride?" Su Mei bounced along as she asked.

"Parents? Last I heard a certain someone's mum was still in jail." A malicious voice came from behind.

Sara turned to see the short girl from this afternoon. "Ah, it's Mingru again."

"Mingru?" He Meng was confused.

Su Mei burst into laughter. "Sara! You're too cruel!"

"Erm... Isn't that her name? Mengdu then." Sara was too ashamed to admit she had forgotten the girl's name and took another blind guess.

"Your whole family is Mengdu!" He Meng yelled angrily. "What are you pretending to be so smug for? Just you wait and see how you'll be embarassed!" He Meng stormed up.

"Does she eat dynamites or something?" Sara was stunned.

"Ignore her. That's how all Tara's blockheaded fans behave." Su Mei latched onto Sara.

"Can you walk without clutching at me?" Sara was exasperated.

"No!"

As they approached the school gates, they heard a loud commotion. People were gathered there in troops.

Suddenly, someone looked back and saw Sara coming.

"She is here!" The girl immediately yelled at the top of her voice.

A pathway was opened up as everyone scrambled to get out of the way. Soon, Sara could see what had attracted their attention.

Lots of people stood outside the school gates. Each of them seemed to have something in hand as they waited for her.

"Sara... Don't go." Su Mei was nervous and tried to head back into the school gates but they were pushed with force from behind.

The people outside spotted her and began to yell.

"Look everyone, the little imposter is here!"

"It's the malicious girl that wants to kill the real heir!"

"Everyone, attack!"

Sara sensed danger and quickly pushed Su Mei away as a torrent of things came flying at her.

Plat! An egg struck her body and broke, spilling it contents on her.

Emboldened by the first move, the protesters became more fiercer with their attacks.

Eggs, flour, salt.... Different things came flying at her.

Everyone watched silently. Some even laughed and took out their phones to record this scene.

"Do something!" Su Mei cried. She saw Tara standing next to a tall, handsome man. Yes! That was Sara's second brother! He used to dote on Sara the most!

She ran towards him. "Second Young Master! Please do something! Save Sara!"

Zhen Yuchen looked at that figure that was being harassed and felt a little pity in his heart. He opened his mouth...

Tara immediately spoke up. "It's not like brother doesn't want to save her... But brother is a public figure after all and he even has a shoot coming up after this. He can't afford to be caught in the midst of this. Although, those people are only standing up for me because Sara tried to kill me, it's still too much!" She shed a tear.

Secretly, she looked at He Meng with pride. Hmph, she didn't take spend on this fool for nothing! At least she knows how to do this.

Zhen Yuchen swallowed the words he was going to say. That's right, the bodyguards would be here soon. No need for him to get into trouble because of this criminal.

Su Mei saw that no one was willing to help and her eyes welled with tears. She glared at Zhen Yuchen. "You... You... You'll regret this!"

Those words brought him such pain that he couldn't breathe for a moment. He held his chest in bewilderment. What was wrong with him?

"Second Brother? Second Brother?" Tara's worries face appeared in his line of sight. That's right! His sister was here, so how could he regret it?

Just as everyone thought Sara would have no choice but to bear the ambush, a loud smack stunned them.

Sara had kept her head down as her mind began to turn.

Patience, patience... Screw it!

Under the sunlight, the willowy figure took off her school bag and slammed it at the ground with force.

The momentum shocked the attackers. They watched as the girl took one step forward, and walked towards them.

"She's coming!" For some reason, this imposter seemed to strike fear in their hearts. They left their buckets filled with eggs and other things and hurriedly ran back.

"You! What are you trying to do?" They yelled from afar.

Sara stared at them. Her eyes were blood red as she grinned devilishly. "What am I going to do?" She said lightly. She grabbed the buckets that they brought and moved them with her.

"What... What is she doing?" The students were petrified.

Sara dropped the buckets at the spot where she was standing and suddenly darted forward.

She was so quick that people only saw an after image. Before they knew it, Sara was standing at the spot with Tara before her.

"Sara." Tara was shocked. Her heart beat faster as she looked at the girl in front of her. She seemed to be covered in darkness. Her blood red eyes were staring at Tara, striking up fear in her. "What are you trying to do?"

"Trying?" Sara smiled. Her two dimples shone under the sunlight looking startling beautiful. "I am not trying anything. I am doing it!"

"Sara, what....AHHHHHH!"

With great force, Sara threw an egg near Tara's feet. It cracked open, spilling over her shoes.

"Sara, you...Ahhh!"

Another egg landed on her face.

With great force, Sara threw all the items in the buckets at Tara.

After she was done she stalked towards the attackers and violently threw the buckets before them.

"HAAAAAA!" They all screamed as the buckets shattered before them.

Sara faced the crowd. She searched through and spotted the young boy who had spoken up for Tara that morning in class.

"You." She called him out. "Seems like you forgot to tell your idol what I told you this morning." She grinned.

The boy shivered.

Sara glared at the crowd of people. "From now on, anything that happens to me, or any attack that comes at me, best case scenario your idol will have to bear it double fold. Worst case scenario, I'll kill her."

Everyone held their breaths. The Sara now looked like an Asura. A hellhound from hell.

"So think twice next time." With that she picked up her bag and walked out of the school. A path opened up for her as everyone watched that figure disappear into the distance.
