I remember that voice filled with annoyance and warmth, my mother who do this , trying to wake me up every morning at 5 am, it was annoying at that time but

I opened my eyes and saw that I was inside a water drowning,my sword was still on my hand as well, did i retget this attached to this sword or something?
Putting those thoughts aside I moved around and swam only to find out that I couldn't, my leg was a mess again

I was running out of air, I reached out for the light above the water in vain ,I did not want to die like this, drowning because of some bitch

A hand grabbed my back as I was pulled out of the water, running out of air and having my senses blurred i couldn't tell who it was, I could only tell that whoever it was ,he or she was adept at swimming
And in no time I was dragged out of the water by the unknown samaritan
" Puaaah!! Haaa haa (gasped for air) "
Still in the middle of the water that seemed to be huge lake beneath the cliff, I turned around to look at my saviour
?? : " Are you okay? "
Chhan :" ....{ What a wierd girl }(i looked at her with a neutral stare and frown) I'm okay...cough coughs ".
With that the girl who was responsible for all this mess dragged me to the shore along with her ,both of us tired ,spent and me injured we laid flat on the shore for a whole minute as we gasp for air, the atmosphere was rather awkward after a while though
The girl who seemed to have regained reason and calmness broke the silence
" I'm sorry about my outburst up there, (continued with a tone filled with anger) I was out of my mind thanks to my party member's wor- "

Before she could finish however i suddenly lunged at her punched her face with powerful right hook
? :" You!! (Enraged)"
She pushed Chhan down and then punched him back in his face ,and then got her hand caught and was rolled down by Chhan again who headbutted her and restrained her hands and looked at her with a much clearer gaze that seemed to surprise the woman
Chhan :" Sorry about that, I had a lot of pent up anger against you for all of this "(said while tightly grabbing her hands and sitting on top of her) " and about your neck too ".
The wound indeed was still visible on her neck's it might leave a scar

For another moment the girl remained silent and after collecting her mind she let out a heavy sigh as she spoke
?:" ..haaa fine let me go then , we're even with that right? "
I letted her go and was ready still in case she fought back but contrary to my expectations she didn't na simply sat still and rolled her hair to get water out of it
{ Maybe she's not a total bitch after all }
And with that I looked up the cliff and wondered how the hell i survived, the famous plot armour had to have been involved in something like this

"....{ has he gone mad as well, whatever, (also looked up the cliff) thank God the river water was there, I was able to use ⟨Dive⟩ to save us both at the last moment, Balthan that scum!( gritted her teeth) I'm gonna break his spine for this! } "
Chhan looked at her and could clearly see her anger against her teammates, he wondered
{ She looks like she's about to start her vengeance arc }" You gonna get revenge Snakeblade? "
Snakeblade the looked at me and replied
" Wouldn't you as well? And I suppose you got my name from our swordsman who kept screaming my name up there "
She then looked both sad and angry
" I suppose ..."
Chhan who was rather anti-social in his previous life had no idea how to comfort her so he simply stood up using his sword that he sheathed as a staff as he took it out from his back.
Snakeblade frowned and asked
" Where are you going ?"
I simply replied
" Here and there, I need to find a way back up after all "
Snakeblade:" You'll die you know, a newbie like you although a bit strong doesn't look that aware of where you are considering what you just said"
I then turned around and looked at her with a blank stare and asked
" Then senior adventurer, please help me "
There was a tone of sarcasm in my words
Snakeblade remained quiet again and then replied a second later also with a blank stare after she stood up
" I'm unarmed but I should be able to provide some informative, for the first part you shouldn't go that way, I saw a bunch of Spidermonkey webs when we were falling down, you shouldn't have closed your eyes then "
I was greatly shocked by her words, her being oblivious to my sarcasm aside, I didn't expect her to just agree like that
" You accepted? { That easily? Suspicious!}"
Snakeblade :(frowned slightly)" As much as I don't like you I can't beat you alone and steal your weapon, and I also will probably die if I wandered alone in the damn ' Dark forest ' even if it's its outskirts ,(a hint of clear anger flared up in her eyes) need to live to give those guys payback afterall ".
Dark forest?
I frowned deeply, putting her other words of vengeance and logic aside a place name something like ' The dark forest ' was never a good place or a slightly bad place to be ,it was usually the worst place filled with creatures of nightmare for a character to go and die if they aren't important characters in movies and stories
{ Well fuck ,(sighs) deserted in the middle of a damn place called 'Dark forest ' with someone I can't even trust when I got a quest to do? What luck is this? } " For Christ sake .... well then mrs Snakeblade lead the way ,{ it's truly an eccentric name, befitting an important character who's about to start her vengeance arc }"
Snakeblade: " We'll have to go down the stream , we can't risk going inside the forest, even if it's a lot shorter route back to a main road, and here take this( offered him a potion which she took out from her waist bag) ".....
Seeing as i didn't immediately take it, she rolled her eyes and took a sip to prove that there was no poison
" Happy now? "
With a small smile I took the potion and drank it
" Happy Mrs Snakeblade "
I could feel my wounds and exhaustion going away and my sprained leg was healed to certain exten that I could use my leg again
" Drop the formalities ,and tell me your name newbie "
I paused for a moment and then took out my ID necklace and showed her
{ I suppose I should atleast give her this amount of trust}
She lifted her brows in a bit of surprise at my ID's info
" Saved? (Failed to hide the small corners of her lips that rose a bit )Wow what a name ."
I simply stared at her blankly, I desperately wanted to say
'Atleast I'm not called 'SNAKEBLADE' .'
But I held it in, talkative men aren't popular afterall
