It was night time now, the etherial starry sky with 2 moons returned ,growls of beasts could be heard inside the forest, after the whole battle with those spider-monkeys we walked for another 10 km or so and setted up camp or something like that near the river stream ,being located near such a deadly place we couldn't afford to light fire so cooking was out of our options, Snakeblade simply pulled out some cookies wrapped in a paper 3 of them atleast , without a word she gulped them down and I ate some of the fired meat I had left as it was, with how strong I was feeling after that fight, I didn't think it would affect me much anyway

At the dark of the night ,a young blonde swordsman was making his way down the cliff where he traced Chhan and Snakeblade fell
It was Richard the blond swordsman with green eyes, he was currently climbing down the cliff slowly

He was honestly scared right now ,and not from the endless distance between the ground and him or the knowledge that the dark forest was beneath this cliff ,the fear of finding his lifelong friend's dead body far surpassed those fears

Getting up from the impact he recieved from Lily's spell he ran towards the direction where the 'Heat cannon' sented Snakeblade and Chhan

Richard promptly stopped feeling a sting on his right ear where an arrow grazed it, blood trickled down
" Where do you think you're going ?"
Balthan who was looking at Richard with eyes full of nothing but fear and insanity asked while aiming at Richard's head for his next shot
" 'She got killed by the newbie who was apparently a demon worshipper' she's dead, now Richard choose ,follow me back or die? "

Lily was visibly shaking at this sight, even though she wasn't as close to them as Snakeblade as she only joined them 3 years ago ,she could've never pictured something like Balthan threatening Richard like this

The deranged archer was visibly nervous

In a sudden burst Richard engulfed his entire body with furious red mana
" Sword draw —(took a firm sword draw stance )
" AAAA!!! (Balthan screamed in rage as he fired his arrow cloaked with mana) ⟨Drill arrow⟩"

An arrow cloaked with blue drill shapes mana flew at bullet speed towards Richard's head
Richard :(his eyes glowed brightly viridecent as his dynamic vision & reflex were heightened)

At point blank range ,Richard who focused like he had never in his entire life ,drew his sword

Dust clouds formed around them and out of it came forth Richard who cutted the arrow in half

Richard's leg dug in his guts and kicked him off the ground as he crashed on tree dropping his bow from the pain an impact, a marksman would almost always lose to a swordsman in close quarters afterall
Balthan spat blood out of his mouth and raised his head, and saw who was once his best friend glaring down on him with eyes filled with rage with his sword still out of it's sheath
{ No this can't happen me }(desperation crept in his heart as his fear rose)" R.. Richa— "

Not allowing him to finish his words , Richard's feet flew past his right ear grazing it causing a cut to form because of the force , blood trickled down from it
Balthan :" Aaa!(yelped) "
Lily hurried over to them but stopped a few meters away and kept silent, she didn't dare to intervene seeing how serious Richard was about this, she had never seen him this angry at anyone
{Will he kill him? }(Shaking){He won't right?}
Balthan :" R.. Richard ?(terrified, lost all strength from the injuries he got and fear) "

With complete silence while glaring at him,to Balthan's Richard raised his sword
,and sensing death ,Balthan roared
" I..i'm sorry, please don't -"
The sword fell

And cutted through the tree and stopped just before it reached Balthan's head
" ah!!(Balthan)"
" I sevee my ties with you, never speak or look at me again, traitor"

Balthan collapsed, completely unconcious from heartattack, but he was still breathing so he wasn't dead
" Haaaa(exhales){ How did this happen? }(Grieved at their situation) "
" B..back off Richard! "(Lily)
She came out with a yellow orb ,'Stunn ball' on the tip of her staff ,she looked very small and helpless as she came out with trembling hands and legs ,and she was still wearing the mask for some reason
" i..i won't let you kill him! "
Richard :" Take him, and tell him what I said ,and my words were for you too ,(Aimed his sword at her) before I get started with you as well get out of my sight ."
" ... I'm sorry "(sadness and regret could be seen in her eyes as she walked passed him)
With that Lily chanted ' Telekinesis ' and made Balthan lighter and carried him away ,back to the direction which they came from
With that done Richard hurriedly traced the direction where the attack sented Chhan and Snakeblade flying off, and this is how he was in this place climbing down the cliff that was as tall as a skyscraper

Midnight, under the starry sky of this world just near the dark forest that Snakeblade said to contain thousands of monster species including boss monsters that were above high class monsters, I stayed awake as it was my shift to stand guard
We slept 2 hours each to guard eachother on Snakeblade's advice and honestly I was fed up with it but ,it wasn't too bad in a way
" I can't enough of this view "(looked at the moons)
{ I should write a song about this world's night sky when I get a chance, after I complete my quest (his quest had a 2 month time limit) }

It was late at night and a fight at this time would draw the attention of a lot of monsters from the forest
