Jayden tried to establish a conversation with her so she wouldn't feel awkward, now that they were both lying on the same bed. She was just a pillow away from her, and Jayden could sense that Ember was not comfortable with this. He tried hard to pull himself to sleep but he was really bothered by her presence, like damn! Who could just sleep with this beautiful lady lying next to him?
"So, the Fami guy is just your assistant?" Jayden asked Ember.
Ember was a bit stunned by his question.
What is it to him that he's asking me about my relationship with The Familiar?
"Yeah, why? We're close," Ember tone was prickly.
"Uh, nothing. I saw how you danced with him. You're comfortable in his arms," Jayden said.
Ember nearly chuckled. If only Jayden knew that the Familiar is feeling more feminine than her, he wouldn't be asking these questions then.
"Uhm, yeah, I'm comfortable with him. I have known him for long," Ember said.
