Chapter 11 - Fight?

After the initial dialogue, the two employed a different method of communication.

Null readied himself for any possibility, unsure of whether he would survive the clash.

He cut off all unnecessary thought and took a breath; all of the shit he had go through resurfaced as he let his rage flow.

Despite so much lost at once, Null never once felt like he was going to lose his mind; he carried himself forward without dwelling on what could hinder his way forward.

Now however, under the influence of his emotions he reminded himself of Theef's words as he let his desires speak for themselves.

Right now, the one thing he desired most was to eradicate the smirk off the face off the parasite in front of him.

'To think he would fall so low while going through what he did,' Null figured there was no reason to show mercy.

"I'll make you wish you never tried coming back."

No response was made by the grinning mastermind; he was not concerned in the slightest about Null's threat.

However in the next instance, he felt his soul burning as Null walked step by step to his position with a blank expression.

It was as if he was looking at an illusion of a terrifying beast eyeing its prey. No tricks, no games, only immense bloodlust contained behind the blank stare of a kid.

Seconds felt like hours and an infinite space existed between the two during the intense moment.

The nonchalant expression on the face of the humanoid spirit had yet to move with only three steps left before Null would stand face-to-face with his Creator.

Step.

Two left to go.

Step.

Null halted in place as his foot touched the soft dirt, his gaze directed into the eyes of the one to start it all.

Then...

Null's lips parted but no words were spoken; he mouthed something to the surprise of both the spirit and Theef, who was busy gearing up with his treasures.

Two of the fairies, Myr and Finn stood on either side of his shoulders, an icy crown embedded with jewels floated silently above his large dome, a large red crystal protruded heavily from his forehead, a flimsy looking cape was donned, he even had two golden horns sprouting from the top of his head.

His current transformation was something to fear with all of the insane powers provided by his equipment and mutations.

He was prepared to go all out on the spirit that had appeared out of nowhere amidst the natural disaster it summoned.

He thought Null was in grave danger as he was prepared to down a bottle of glowing liquid, however as he turned his sight towards the two his eyes widened in disbelief.

Null held the spirit up by the neck and so tenderly did it break apart, causing its entire structure to break apart into scattered energy.

Not being one to miss out on a free meal, the milky aura around Null leapt onto every last bit of the remaining spirit energy before swiftly retracting back into Null.

Theef wanted to cheer for his friend's overwhelming victory but alas Null involuntarily jerked around before violently thrashing on the ground.

His hair fell out and his skin became a smooth yellow peel.

'FUCK, HE'S TURNING ME INTO A BANANA!!!'

Null did not like it, but he somehow knew the bizarre state he would end up in when this was over. His eyes rolled into the back of his head and into his mind space he went.

A shit-eating grin greeted him once more.

"A fucking banana," Null screamed at the questioned the sanity of his other.

"You should be thanking me," the eyes of the past Null were tranquil, "You were never able to gain sentience as a plant. Those days were pretty dull."

"And what exactly do you mean by that?" Null hated the creepy mysterious vibe that the other Null loved making.

"Tell me, little one, how was your life as a human being? You must have so many experiences and stories to tell me, right?" The mystery grew deeper as he pried into Null's life.

'What is he on about? He knows just how much of a shut-in I was.'

"Of course, I d-," Null suddenly had the urge to puke, "NO YOU DID NOT!!!"

"Are you really questioning me when you know exactly what happened yourself. Stop pretending, it's really pathetic." What he was saying was a paining Null as memories resurged in the mind space.

"You see, when I detonated my soul, I was able to do what nobody even knew was possible at the time. I pleaded to the cosmos, begging for a chance of redemption, a proper start and a fitting end. Who else but I could gain the acceptance of that which hosts all things in existence; I was able to withdraw my spirit from the nothingness and begin anew as a new being made purely of spiritual energy."

"In my circumstances, I had to find a vessel that could mimic the body I had previously, but despite my best efforts, there was no planet capable of supporting life in the near vicinity. I had to improvise before my spirit began to naturally dissipate into rogue spiritual energy."

"Luckily, this solar system was capable of fostering a planet that could produce exactly what I needed, so I chose this one to speed up the process, so to speak, as I assimilated with its core. My excess spiritual energy provided just enough change to begin the process of evolution, however I had a goal in mind when the time was right."

"NOW TELL ME, WHO IS YOUR CREATOR? WHAT PURPOSE DO YOU HAVE IF NOT TO SUBMIT YOUR EVERYTHING TO MY CAUSE," His voice boomed like a ravenous howl.

He was huffing and puffing, eyes trained on Null's immobile figure. Yet, he did not pounce on his prey.

He wanted to hear Null's last words before his execution.

'
