Sitting on a random rooftop somewhere around Tokyo while scrolling through my phone.
It gets boring during patrol every now and then. Looking through social media can sometimes allow me to pick up on concurrent crimes happening.
Like the one I'm looking at right now.
'Bingo. Finally happening.' Grinning underneath my helmet, I started flying to the neighbouring city.
All Might is now currently fighting a big villain in that city and the place is currently on mass evacuation.
Just because the civilians are running away doesn't mean that the villain, AFO I presume, is gonna stop anytime soon. Even if All Might is deflecting the battle somewhere more isolated, it wouldn't work as the buildings crumbled to the helpless people below.
Stopping to save them means that either he gets hit with another attack or more civilians are crushed elsewhere.
'I am willing to bet my money that AFO is sadistically laughing right now.'
Flying in the sky with my fastest speed and keeping my phone in my hand as I keep track of the news for any updates. I managed to make it to the city, or what was left of it, by about 15 minutes.
The entire place looked like it just got hit by an earthquake. The screams, the fire, and the despair of those stuck under the rubble, reminded me about what happened in Gensokyo.
The memories made me shake in anger as I created a swarm of heads. They fly around the area looking for any survivors by sensing their emotions.
Once located, they fly in circles above the area to signal the other heroes in the area. They would've tried to arrest me, or scold me at least, if the situation wasn't an emergency but duty calls.
I kept my eyes locked on the battle between two powerhouses. The moment things go south is where I would intervene.
My strength hasn't increased much, going in now is like giving AFO a free hostage and disrupt the current flow of the battle. A sentiment that is shared with the other heroes below.
Perhaps spoiled and raised by the tranquility of All Mights reign, they've grown complacent and are simply waiting for someone with a more suitable quirk to intervene and aid the symbol of peace as nearly all of them prioritised the civilians, which isn't bad either.
Shockwave after intimidating shockwave was sent flying and muffled the sounds of chaos below. The dust gathered and billowed randomly, occasionally obscuring the view of the fight and making it impossible for news helicopters to get close enough to broadcast live.
And still, I watch almost unblinkingly under my mask refusing to miss even a single second of each moment. Running and hopping from rubble and rooftops, evading large winds and debris, Seeking the optimal vantage point.
Having only one singular chance of greatly altering the future, my muscles are tense and ready to jump in at anytime.
I can hear my own breaths as my heartbeat thumps in my chest, drowning out the voices of other civilians and heroes alike.
Sharply taking a breath, I instantly spring to action. Flying at the fastest speed I can muster much to the suprise of the ones watching below.
With the momentum of my forward dash, I threw a head overloaded with most of my energy that it gave out an ominous crimson glow, at the direction of All Might.
The other heads nearby exploded just as the one I threw overtook them, bolstering it's speed.
It arrived just on time to take the hit from the otherwise near-fatal strike. With the head tanking that lone attack and having its glow considerably dimmed as it was pierced through its mouth.
Both men were surprised at the sudden intrusion of an unknown factor. The attack of AFO was a failure and All Might, seeing that window on opportunity, confidently struck back at him aiming for the his face.
Accompanied by him is the large, condensed eye laser from the energy-overloaded head going straight to his solar plexus.
Both attacks sent him crashing through a few buildings before finding himself buried in concrete. All Might has coughed out blood with smoke rising from his body, unconscious yet still standing upright.
Moving closer to him and covering his visage with heads made from what's left of my energy reserves, I took a deep look on this man.
I have taken the attack that would've otherwise stolen half this man's respiratory system and most of his stomach, and yet, the accumulated injuries he's sustained has already done it's damage.
His muscles and ligaments shredded and flayed, some left to sway in the wind through his torn skin making him look as if he was turned inside out. Eyes dug deeper into his visibly cracked skull and nearly-crushed cheekbones. The hero suit he proudly wore now ruined, ripped in places and covered with dust and blood.
'No wonder he looked no different from a skeleton when the canon timeline started...'
As much as I wanted to end AFO by today, we are already past our limits and will most likely collapse at any moment. Moreover, AFO would've taken this chance to escape using Kurogiri and switched with a prepared corpse to fake his death.
And here I stand, Barely done a thing in the grand scheme of things and is already tired from the energy I overloaded into that one head.
'This feeling of weakness... I hate it.'
I shake those thoughts away, 'Now isn't the time to mope or brood.'
Some of the heads that were tasked with helping locate buried civilians are now free. Using them to carry All Might, I rush him to the direction of Recovery Girl.
With one of my heads dispelled and had its memories sent to me, I know that she has arrived a while ago and is currently stationed in an isolated area for the more serious injuries.
Going through the crowd and straight to the very back of the hastily-made tent, I found recovery girl looking over a list of supplies.
She is a short, elderly woman with gray hair styled into a netted bun, a large syringe poking diagonally out of it to the left.
She is wearing a doctor's lab coat and a dress with yellow and red vest-like designs on either side, two yellow buttons, and a belt with a pink "R"-shaped buckle. She wears pink boots and has a helmet around the sides of her head, a purple-tinted visor joining it over her eyes. In addition, she walks with a cane designed like a syringe.
As her eyes laid on me, I pointed to the small swarm of heads before she could ask questions.
"All Might. Injured." I told her before catching my breath.
'Three words are enough to convey the weight and urgency of the matter, right?' I thought.
"Put him down on the bed, quickly."
Nodding, I did as she said and laid him down and dispelling my flying heads in the process.
She gave him a quick look-over and took action, tools and futuristic gadgets almost flying as they stop the bleeding, put the muscles back together and gently pushed back inside the skin while some were removed. Not long after, bandages and disinfectants wrapping All Might head to toe.
She then took out a phone and started to call for an ambulance for to transport All Might to an institution with proper equipment for further treatment.
Once she was done, she heaved a sigh and walked over to me who was still dumbfounded by how fast she worked.
"It's your turn, dearie. Sit down so I can look at you." She gave a gentle smile.
"No, I'm fine. Just tired..."
"Then at least sit down. Gummie?" She opened her hand to reveal a gummie vitamin.
"...I'll just take a seat, thanks."
"All right, but do tell me if you need anything."
She nods and goes back to look at the papers of what I assume would be a list of supplies and names of people who can help, injured and deceased.
Silently sitting around was a bit awkward and I couldn't really stand up again since my body is protesting against me for more rest.
Therefore, starting a conversation seemed like the right choice.
"Why not use your quirk?"
"Hm?" She looks up from her stack of papers. "My quirk uses the energy is someone's body to heal. This lunk is practically wrung dry, using it now would kill him."
"I see. That makes sense."
"What about you, dearie?" She gently starts. "By your size, you're clearly too young. Why go out there and fight? Why not leave it to the pros?"
Looking at her kind eyes, I pondered for a moment whether to tell the truth.
Maybe it's the fatigue, the light-headedness from using most of my energy, the different emotions I can sense from the people nearby or perhaps the grandmotherly aura she has, "...This might sound crazy..." but I hesitantly started to tell her.
I told her of my home without mentioning gensokyo.
About how AFO attacked the village.
About how I came from 100 years in the past, somehow.
About how weak I felt and wanted to get stronger.
"As for leaving it to the pros, I haven't been here for long but... I noticed that nearly everyone says that."
"A crying child, someone getting bullied or extorted, someone who's lost, someone who's down on his luck... when they see something like that, people just exclaim [That's terrible! I'm sure there's a hero nearby. They can help!]."
"Seeing someone suffering in front of you and saying to leave it to someone else... even if you have the capability to help... It just feels wrong."
"Even if... it's a just asking if they're doing alright... or lending a shoulder to lean on... or even just listening to what they have to say"
"The... Little acts... Can help....zzzzz"
'I guess I was a lot more tired than I thought.'

(Recovery Girl POV)
Looking at this child who should've been enjoying his youth, I couldn't help but think of the burden he willingly carried on his small shoulders.
A child who should have been playing, making friends and messing around. Suddenly experiencing such a traumatic event and finding himself in an unknown place.
Yet he still chose to use his quirk to help others.
He is fighting and putting himself in danger. Vigilantism is a crime, yes. But he still does what he's doing.
'He reminds me of a certain idiot' I mused.
'The past, huh?... I need to inform Nezu of such a thing.'
'A power to send someone into the future... Why or how such a thing can be possible can be debated later on. What purpose behind such an action, if it's even on purpose, is a mystery.'
'What's important now is what to do with both the boy and All Might.'
My train of thoughts was disturbed by the arrival of the medical team that came to bring All Might.
They are a group of robots that usually assist me during my work. They are created by Nezu for multiple purposes in U.A.
Physical and cyber security, construction, maintenance, etc.
These are the ones sent rather than people as we have to safeguard the secret of All Might, along with the information about his current state.
If villains were to learn of the degree of his injuries and is currently out of commission, then they would start committing crimes not just around Tokyo, but all of Japan.
The fragile balance brought by the symbol of peace is like a disaster waiting to happen. Everyone is content with the current times. They illude themselves that everything is fine.
Once the people realize that the man they worship isn't as invincible as they thought-
'I dread the day that happens.' I shake my head.
Glancing at the injured Toshinori, I let out a heavy sigh and wonder just what went wrong in the past for things to develop this way.
