Chapter 1 - 01. Love is a mistaken first sight

"Oh my God!"

Ivy Aretha held her breath, staring in disbelief with wide, dark eyes at her stark naked self.

Even the slightest movement made her whole body ache as if it had been dismantled and reassembled.

With this kind of situation, it didn't take a genius to figure out what must have happened.

Memories from the previous night came rushing back.

She remembered being at her part-time job at the coffee shop. After her shift, she saw a man, seeming to be drunk, recklessly trying to cross the road against the red light.

Having a kind heart, she helped the man who said he was lost and couldn't find his way home. And then... then he seemed to behave oddly, and then... now is today.

Damn it, he wasn't just drunk! he was drugged... and she had ended up being the unfortunate victim who willingly delivered herself to his door. Damn it, doing a good deed only to suffer such humiliation!

Ivy Aretha felt so annoyed she could explode. As her anger reached a boiling point and she turned her head, she found herself looking into a pair of deep eyes.

The man was awake now, resting on his pillow and quietly watching her with his deep, focused gaze, causing Ivy to feel a moment of dazzlement...

It was undeniable that this man was handsome, and his finely sculptured features wore a faint smile that had an alluring charm.

Even lying there, looking so relaxed, he was utterly captivating, particularly his deep-set eyes. When they stared at her, they seemed to possess a subtly hypnotic force that seemed as if it could draw her soul out...

Ivy Aretha couldn't help but internally comment on what a superior specimen he was, only to then curse herself for being a fool.

How could she be finding time to think about such things? This surely made her an absolute wreck.

If it hadn't been her who was taken advantage of, Ivy Aretha thought she might even have appreciated his good looks. But at this moment, apart from anger, all she wanted to do was chop this man into pieces.

Despite this, Ivy Aretha didn't forget to first put on her clothes. Turning her head, she saw that her clothes were torn into rags, making the memory of this man's beastly actions from last night even more vivid …

"Stop looking, he tore your clothes. They are no longer wearable!"

As Ivy Aretha was growing more frustrated, the man's soft laugh reached her ears, his deep voice tinged with flirtatiousness.

"You'd better stay in bed!"

"What?!"

Ivy Aretha felt as if she'd heard the world's biggest joke. The damned man, after taking advantage of her, still had the audacity to proposition her so brazenly.

Ivy Aretha, whose body had been spasming due to embarrassment, felt a sudden surge of anger, and was about to go ballistic.

Her eyes, however, noticed the man's shirt and trousers, which lay discarded not far away. She grabbed them quickly and put them on.

After Ivy Aretha put on the man's shirt, she truly realized the size difference between them when she saw it dangling loosely on her.

The trousers, even after using a belt like a rope, still hung loosely around her waist. Nonetheless, looking for someone while being dressed was still better than doing so while being naked.

With this in mind, Ivy Aretha tied the tail of the shirt into a knot and adjusted the belt buckle to its smallest setting, using it like a real rope after all.

Now that she was dressed and had the courage to confront him, thoughts of regret filled her mind. Her innocence had been thoughtlessly ruined. If she didn't teach this man a lesson, would her Taekwondo training have been for naught?

As Ivy Aretha was about to let loose her anger, the man who had been quietly watching her from his pillow opened his mouth and chuckled.

"Girl, aren't you a little too impatient in getting even without bothering to put on underwear first? I'm not going anywhere!"

Ivy Aretha: "..."

The next moment Ivy Aretha involuntarily glanced down at the dangling shirt, her face flushing scarlet.

After she realized her clothes had been torn to shreds, her first thought was to put on his clothes and make him go naked. She didn't even consider that she hadn't worn any underclothes.

Before she could react, the man's languid voice drifted in again...

"Don't worry, I will take responsibility!"

Take responsibility? Ivy Aretha was stunned speechless by his words.

After a one-night stand, when a man told you that he would take responsibility, it wasn't a joke. It was because he wanted another round.

"You damn beast, what responsibility are you thinking of taking!"

Saying this, Ivy Aretha swiftly closed in on him while he was still in bed, before he could react. She then pounced on him, pulling the quilt over him and doling out a series of punches.

After such an incident, other than beating him up to vent her frustrations, there really wasn't anything else she could do. She'd been the one who'd interfered where she shouldn't have, and ended up getting taken advantage of.

Each time she thought about this, Ivy Aretha's punches became even harder, raining down like a thunderstorm…

After delivering a barrage of angry blows, she could no longer hear any sound from the man hidden under the quilt. Ivy Aretha leaned in to listen and couldn't hear any breathing. Could he be dead?

Frightened by the thought, Ivy Aretha quickly jumped off the bed and held her breath…

With trembling hands she attempted to lift the quilt, but before she even touched it, a hand reached out from within.

Before she could react from the surprise, she was pulled in. She fell once more onto the familiar bed on which she spent the previous night.

The man said nothing more and pressed himself onto her. His dark, ink-like eyes stared deeply at her.

It was a focused, yet affectionate gaze, which seemed to want to penetrate her soul. If it wasn't for the fact this was their first meeting, she might have suspected that he was her beloved man because of his gaze.

"Men find gentle women more attractive."

The man's insouciant laughter rang out next to her ear, "Just like last night, darling!"

Thinking of the previous night, the seductive charm in his laugh deepened. That taste was truly unforgettable!

Last night? That damned man! Does he really think she's a weak kitten?

"Scoundrel, let go of me, or I'll kill you!"

While Ivy Aretha was rummaging through the bedside drawer and threatening him, she noticed that the man didn't let go of her. Instead, his movements became more and more intense…

If this continued, the clothes she'd just put on would be torn apart again. What a beast, a complete and utter beast!

Seeing that she was on the verge of losing control again and was in danger of being ravished once more...

The agonizing memory from last night suddenly flooded her mind, making her feel fearful. Her eyes landed on a bottle of red wine on the bedside table. Almost instinctively, she grabbed it and then…
